Make sure it has just enough contact with the water also remove chlorine from the water by leaving it outside for a day or so to let it evaporate off… chlorine causes weak plants… I’m doing this now but I’m using tea idk if it’ll work if it’s good or not but I figure might as well add some nutrients from the tea

No no no you don’t submerge that’s why the bottom is rotting , u only want an inch or so in water, then plant in soil once a few inches tall

Using that much water will cause it to go bad. Just need to keep the very bottom wet.
