...Dealing with High Net Worth individuals who are usually used to having their job done asap and explaining delayed situations to these individuals must be stressful !

Karen’s with a lot of money. Hard to explain to them that the FAA cares not about their “needing to get there”

Composition pro tip, get rid of the minute long preview-intro. A short splash screen for 3-4 seconds is fine just to mark the start let people adjust sound and make sure nothing is cutoff, but then get right into the actual podcast. It's a waste of everybody's time to prewatch part of the video that they are currently trying to watch (especially some random out of context clip). This isn't broadcast tv news, the audience has already come to you.

These videos are really motivating. I'm starting flight training next year in March at either Thrust Flight or American Flyers at KADS. I have a Discovery flight this Sunday at Thrust Flight. Wish me luck! Keep the blue side up🛫

Good podcast. Just want to add, I have applied to multiple large 135 operator, multiple regionals 121, and multiple majors 121 in the last 2 years. Even a quick look on airlineapps will tell you most of them now specifically ASK if you have failed a stagecheck. if you have, you WILL need to explain these. Def not a huge deal especially now, but it’s definitely not nothing!

Yall have me leaning toward ATP or another school in Pensacola that quotes a much lower price to get the minimum requirements needed for the airlines. It sounds great other than the fact I'll almost definitely get instructors who are low time pilots and new instructors.

On a previous video, that I can’t figure out which one it was, you showed a website that can be searched by locality for places to find to work at. It would list all the operators in a particular area. What was that website? Thank you.

My Part 61 school includes stage checks as well, so this is not just for Part 141.

Would you recommend saving enough money to pay for an accelerated flight school program like ATP upfront rather than taking out a loan? I’m 24 with a family of 4. I’m a professional truck driver and make enough to save $30,000 per year. So I’m split between taking out a loan and saving time or saving up enough money for the program and living expenses which would take 3-5 years. Being a pilot is something I’m very motivated about and I appreciate your wisdom. Respectfully, Chris.

I would absolutely get a loan. If you watch the video closely, he gets a loan and then he may get a signing bonus from an airline that may pay off most of the loan. The faster you get a seniority number at an airline the more money you’re gonna make in your career, do anything you can to get involved now and you won’t regret it later. Thanks for that comment and good luck to you.

From what I hear a lot of pilots only make 50k a year. I heard it takes years before you venture into 100k a year and up. Is that true?

Hello! I want to be an Airline Pilot, but I recently read that pilots are exposed to large amounts of Radiation. Is this something that I, and other pilots should be concerned about?

It’s something that’s talked about. This is not scientific but to me doesn’t seem like a big concern for most pilots. A lot of people do wear sunscreen in the cockpit when they fly. I think that’s a big help.

What's the best way to send you a written question? I rather not send a video question.

The mindset of many ATP school pilots is horrible. So many of the DPEs in my area are fed up with ATP, they get so much attention from ads and internet shows but they’re not the right place to go for most people if you want the best aviation education.

Can you please elaborate on horrible mindset? What are you referring to?
@lukekirk7487
@lukekirk7487 8 месяцев назад
@@BlueSkyMark it’s all cramming before each test so you get a basic rote level knowledge and can regurgitate correct answers and they don’t get to a deeper level of application or correlation. Cramming can work to pass a test, but it doesn’t make a safe pilot. I also heard that crap instructor who killed him and his student recently was a product of ATP. Many of them should not be instructing. they are just in it to get hours quickly and go to the airline, that’s the whole point of ATP.
