@@DawidDoesTechStuff Noticed too late you had quit using your twitter for now heh. Anyway i sent this. Hey Dawid Would you be able too find out if something like a gtx 1650 or 1650 super works in a system with a legacy bios like say socket am3 or 1366 ? Might need too contact the company you are buying it from first ofc if they have specific models that has a legacy vbios of some sort. Might make a good video for people on a budget as while i was answering a reddit thread about a socket 1366 pc needing an upgrade & he had about 400 usd i hinted at contacting the support for a few companies too find out which ones work or go with a used graphics card like a gtx 970. Though i came across this thread mentioning a pny reference cooler gtx 1660 working on a h55 motherboard. forums.anandtech.com/threads/gpus-with-legacy-bios-support-how-do-you-know.2554926/#post-39982349 Reddit thread of the guy wanting too upgrade ram & graphics card in his old socket 1366 system. www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/j7uiz3/i_have_a_weird_question_for_you_all/ I myself got a 1660 super recently in my 1155 pc z7 motherboard + latest bios. Besides a cpu bottleneck limiting my framerates a bit I'm happy with it, seriously solid upgrade from a r9 280 that died & certainly a astronomical performance increase from the HD 5770 i was stuck with for a bit over a month lol. Locked i5 2500 so max 4.1 ghz 1 core & 3.9 ghz all core on my z77 chipset motherboard. But eh it was free, might buy a used I7 3770k & push that too 4.4 ghz or so & a ssd or an I5 2500k & overclock that, mostly play hunt showdown & borderlands 3 as the newest titles, everything else is smooth for me that i play, havent tried battlefield 1 though, might do that when i get back home.
As a person who does know what an explosion sounds like, up close, if and when a headset can also recreate that thud sensation in your chest, then they are the ones to buy. Don't know how I missed this vid when it went live. Found it while I was at work but at least it gave me something new to watch. Keep it up. I find you to be one of the most entertaining youtubers I watch.
Yeay! Great review! Never knew you are a headphones enthusiast (I won't use the term "audiophile" because that term is, uh, er, like that)! I am actually much more curious about the 58X than these, since I am in the market for an all-rounder pair of headphones.
lol..as an audiophile gear enthusiast experience i can tell that you have highlighted the opposite use-case we recommend with these cans. get the audio-technica r70x for the gaming focused imaging and soundstage reproduction or if you feel like it the HD 800; budget options are koss ksc75 and the akg 612
Considering they are being marketed as a GAMING HEADSET then it makes sense tthe tuning is biased more to gaming than a headset more tuned for music. The 58x may be about the same price if doing double duty as long as your gaming does not need a microphone included but if you do is another added expense.
As a guy who only uses his headphones for gaming, this review from an audiophile who games is very helpful. They're cheaper these days. Might pick up a pair!
Thanks for the tip, sir. Definitely going to consider them for my next set of gaming headphones. I’m currently using the Beats Pro, which are amazing for production, but I’ve thought about getting a set just for gaming so I can keep my Beats in my studio lol. Are you perhaps looking for music for your videos? I figure you’re probably not interested in replacing your intro music, but if you were thinking about changing it, I have composed something that would work quite nice for intro music. Thanks again for the content. I make sure to check out every new video. Quality stuff, sir.
@@Zombie101 Sweet, so I guess I finally decided. Have you been using them on consoles? I'm getting a PS5 this Christmas so wanted to know how it was with it
@Russki007 on my pc not console, I'm sure they will be just as good. You could always buy a mini dac too if needed. I'm running them through a schitt dac
I wasn't subbed for 2months even when i watched your videos But i realized ur pretty funny And when i watched your fake GPUs and trash asus laptop videos i saw that u work hard So im subbed now
Thanks! It would mean a lot to get your opinion on how the SHP9500 headphones compare to these PC38X headphones. Do the SHPs lick your eardrums with that velvety midrange? Are they decent for gaming and music and movies?
thx for the advice. i didn't want a dedicated game headset for the money, instead i went for the x58 for music as well. i will get a DAC and Amp later on. ill stick to my shitty xbox branded headphones for online as i hardly ever use em.
Talking about easy to drive, that arrow nicely hides the sound pressure level. Then again, I doubt it matters because they don't specify whether it's x amount of dB per mW or volt so whatever.
So the cord that plugs into the mix amp for the a40s I can just use the pc38c instead of the a40s and should get a better soundstage and just plain volume from them ??????????
How do you think they will sound with the ps5? Since they're using some more advance audio, the HD 58x? I don't know about head phones much but im deciding on those or the Sony wh 1000xm4
Holy crap you're a bona fidé audiophile. Never have I ever witnessed a gaming headset reviewed and articulated with such finesse. Thanks man. You answered a question I'd been pondering for years. Usually PC Tech reviewers know about as much about HiFi as Trump knows about diplomacy.
I have HD58x. They have amazing clarity and resolution, their soundstage is lacking. It's not wide enough for gaming imo. I use HD558 or DT770 pro for gaming over 58x
The Audio-Technica ADH-AD700x & 900x = still the gaming King & Queen when it comes to cans for gaming. (if we're gonna stay under $300 bucks) The soundstage and imaging unbeatable and to boot they are both more than competent when it comes to listening to music as well.
Nice video Here's a stir fry recipe Ingredients 2 tablespoons vegetable oil divided2 tablespoons vegetable oil divided 1 pound flank steak thinly sliced1 pound flank steak thinly sliced 2 tablespoons cornstarch2 tablespoons cornstarch 4 cups mixed vegetables4 cups mixed vegetables Sauce 3 cloves garlic minced3 cloves garlic minced 1 teaspoon minced ginger1 teaspoon minced ginger ⅓ cup orange juice⅓ cup orange juice ⅓ cup water⅓ cup water ¼ cup low sodium soy sauce¼ cup low sodium soy sauce 3 tablespoons brown sugar3 tablespoons brown sugar 1 ½ teaspoons sesame oil1 ½ teaspoons sesame oil 1 tablespoon cornstarch1 tablespoon cornstarch Instructions Season steak with salt & pepper. Toss with cornstarch and set aside while you prepare the vegetables. Place 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan or wok. Cook the beef in 2 small batches over medium high until browned, about 2-3 minutes (beef does not need to be cooked through). Remove from pan and set aside. Add vegetables to the pan and cook about until tender crisp, 4-5 minutes. Remove from pan and set aside with the beef. Combine sauce ingredients except corn starch in a bowl and stir well. Turn the heat up to medium-high and add the sauce. Bring to a simmer. Combine cornstarch with 3 tablespoons water (or broth) and add it the sauce a little bit at a time while whisking to reach desired consistency. Let simmer 2 minutes. Add vegetables, beef (and any juices) to the pan and cook until heated through. Serve with noodles or over rice.
