The last tour of the Shadows live in Cardiff. Solo Guitar: Hank Marvin Rythm Guitar: Bruce Welch Bass: Mark Griffiths Drums: Brian Bennett Keyboard/Strings: Cliff Hall
Absolutelyuminglytely. The Man is THE BEST and GOAT guitar player on many lifetimes. And Wales also my grandfather Lewis Manfred Evans was from Wales. I am from former British Guiana
Hank Marvin has had that same complete and utter happiness smile on his face while playing from the beginning. Look at old video from the 60's and you will see him smile the exact same way as he continues to do today, he loves playing and we still love to listen. Respect
One of my favourite Shadows tunes, written by Bruce. I still have my Shadows fan club membership card, any 1960's guitarist who says he wasn't influenced by Hank Marvin is lying.
The rhythm on this song is absolutely beautiful. The bass and lead complement the rhythm brilliantly. The spot light deserves to be on Bruce, one of the best rhythm displays in my opinion, can listen to this a million times!!
They're LEGENDS of their own time and still is to this day. They make such great beautiful music for us to enjoy. Awesome!! I love them and all their music. Thank you!!

Watched how they interacted as each played their part. Seen Bruce turn to look and smile at Cliff on keyboard each time he came in especially at 0:48 ., almost teasing. It was lovely to see that they just knew the tune inside out. There will never ever be any guitar band like The Shadows.❤
From Mark Ramlucken, it's thru The Shadows that the Rock n roll explosion began they are the greatest instrumentalist band in the world. It's thru Cliff n the SHADOWS THAT I'M A MUSICAN . When I was 17 I wanted to play the guitar like Hank Marvin. Fifty years later I have decided that it ain't going to happen. Today I sold my guitar and amp. That's life.
Simple as it may sound its sweet, balanced, tonality plus. been listening and playing shads music as a guitarist since they recorded " Dance On" in the early 60's. I take my hat off to you gentlemen, the world thanks you all for the wonderful music.

I interviewed Bruce Welsh several years ago for a documentary and he was a true gent..I was asking him questions about another artist for the film..but threw in a question about Theme for young lovers..He was so helpfull in his answer and we just carried on chatting about the Shadows after that..out of all the people I interviewed he was the one I looked forward to interviewing and he didnt dissapoint..so you can meet your heroes and not have to be left wishing you hadnt!
the first record I bought was of the Shadows away back in the early 60s when I hear their music now it fills me with nostalgia happy carefree days indeed
Bring this music back Guy's, motivate your childeren or grandchilderen to learn to play this music, it may not be lost in time, take them from behind there playstation or tablets and pc and let them play a few hours a day of this kind of music. Your kids will loved you for it and later they will be grateful.
I'll never understand why people give videos like this a thumbs down. Unless they're idiots, of course. It's The Shadows! You clicked on a link to a Shadows video! What were you expecting??
Imagine people who get carried away from their comfort zone by the YT algorithm. Imagine when they simply reached a point of "Wait, how did I get here?". Personally, I don't like this tune too much, it's way too syrupy sweet on the point of tacky.
I looked for this song for 10 years. My grandpa used to listen to it, so it remains me to my childhood. Hpe my grandpa enjoyed this song just like I'm doing now
Mikey Hall many younger guitar players do not bother to learn how to play rhythm guitar properly these days. Although I am a lead player, our other guitar player is also a lead player, so when either of us has to drop into the rhythm role we do it with pleasure. A good lead player can be nowhere without a good rhythm player behind him.
the sound played here can touch you in a way...words could never explain...so much talent that came too pass in the 50's-60's-70's ...and even some made it into the 80's where did it get lost ?
