A $30 secret prime rib meal is the best ‘deal’ in Las Vegas. That just goes to show how much Vegas has lost its way. If a new Casino/hotel opened its doors and put the emphasis back on gaming and had cheap rooms, food and drinks, it would be like, well, a casino!

U are really out of touch. This isnt 20th century Vegas anymore. In the 2000's it went more corporate and adopted the overpriced amusement park business model. And it has been more profitable than ever. It wants younger people who are willing to spend money at an amusement park, not older penny pinchers looking for the bargains of old Vegas.

I still remember about 24 years ago getting a $4.99 steak dinner (salad, 8oz. steak, garlic toast, veg & baked potato) at Binion's after 11pm. It was a spectacular deal (and the food was pretty good too).

I always recommend Planet Hollywood as best bang for your buck strip property. Cool, nice rooms (especially for the price, most of the time), great location, very fun casino floor vibe, good dining options for reasonable prices, Miracle Mile shops, the ABC store to stock your room up without breaking the bank, and a mini fridge to keep everything in. Plus, if you want to go fancier for anything, Cosmopolitan and Aria are right across the street!

Yup.. Best hotel if ur on a budget and want center strip location and close to Bellagio.. U just walk off elevator doors and gamble or eat for cheap or go outside ! Keep all ur abc drinks cold in Mini fridge.. Not too crowded casino unlike Bellagio which is packed like a zoo and expensive eats there. Plus it take u 10 minutes to walk outside!

Excellent, underrated comment. To go even further, all the good stuff is within walking distance, and you can go south for more budget friendly gambling, or head across the street/north for bougie gambling and glitzy eats.

I've been staying at Horseshoe - which is close to Planet Hollywood. I bought my own 1-cup coffee maker which I put in my suitcase. No need to go downstairs and wait in line to pay $6 for coffee at Starbucks!

Another suggestion is the $21.95 ribeye steak at the America restaurant in the New York New York hotel. It's available every day from 5p to 5a. Actually, everything at this restaurant is very reasonably priced. And it's open 24 hours.

Ocean One $5.99 menu has good variety, their 3 for $12 drinks menu does too. Blondies breakfast deal is still great at new price of $5.99. Classic breakfast at Tom's Watch Party at NYNY is a good deal. A short walk behind Horseshoe, Ellis Island has several great food deals & brewery.

Ocean is our go to - have never had a bad meal there and good value. Ellis is also on our list 0 decent food, decent price and great "root beer". A quick lunch or late night burger - In and Out - old school style greasy burger, fries and a shake. Vegas doesnt have to rob you for food.

Jacob, you do such a great job with your Las Vegas vlog that in my opinion, the Vegas hotels and chamber of comerce needs to pay you a yearly retainer of $250K for your vlogs. They should also comp your hotels stays and your restaurant food bills. You bring in to Vegas at least 100X what it would cost them to advertise.

Best deal I have found is one order of 2 meatballs at the pizza place in NYNY. Ask for marinara and cheese..comes out to about $3.50 and is practically a full meal. Double it up for $7.

I've found Cafe' Hollywood to have very fair prices for above average food and nice service. The surroundings are pleasant. Considering the location, to me, it's a great deal. And, Earl of Sandwich is a great spot when you want when you want something quick and good for a decent price. To me, cheaper isn't better ... Better is better. And better with a good price, is wonderful.

Jacob.. that shouldn't have been ranch dressing with the prime rib. they usually come with horseradish sauce. that adds a bit of spice and flavor to the prime rib. If it is good horseradish then it can be very yummy.

Almost everything I had from Cafe Hollywood has been surprisingly good... Especially the Chinese food there. I would've never imagined the Chinese food being good at a American diner.... But all the Asian style dishes I've had here was surprisingly good!

Hattie B's Chicken is great! Two can share the half chicken and two sides for $20. We ate at La Salsa Cantina and Cafe Americano and had great meals, relatively cheaply at both.

That Blondie's breakfast is really good. We got there just a little late last year and it was super expensive so get there during actual breakfast. I know it's off strip but the prime rib and steak and eggs special at Ellis Island are also good deals.

Jacob - Thanks for recommending the prime rib meal at Cafe Hollywood. I dined at that restaurant twice earlier this month and enjoyed the prime rib meal both times! BTW - Just read some of the more expensive Vegas hotel buffets are limited guests to 1 1/2 hours maximum to eat - then you must leave!

You can also do a Walmart run - instant coffee and creamer, fruits and nuts, bread, sandwich meat, waters, ramen, protein shakes, etc... the mainstays electric kettle is $15.97..... then treat out for dinner Edit: spelling

There are some really great deals down on Water Street. About the cheapest happy hours I've seen, and also an actual brewery with some very good craft beers. That they make on-site, not haul in like Ellis Island now does. (shame on them - raised their prices and bring it in from Utah)

It looks about 8oz -- it looks to be a thin cut. As prime rib goes, it doesn't look that great, as it was pretty grey. You'd like to see more pinkish/red in the middle, with maybe a harder crust on the sides. The lower quality is also confirmed as there are more and bigger pockets of fat. All that said, with the veggies/mash/salad, it's not bad for $21. As you said, it's not a high end steakhouse. That said, it's probably like order a prime rib at a diner, which ..... I wouldn't. Thanks for the info though. I never heard of this deal. In general, more options are better than less.

Blondies is now $5.99 as of 24/12/2023, but Blondies also has half pint draft beers for $3, and I usually buy two and combine them into a pint. A pint for $6 in Vegas is unheard of!
