The engineer who designed this should be convicted to changing those filters 24/7, 8 hours every day! I changed mine yesterday, I have two of them, it took about 2 minutes.
Nothing wrong with bread n butter cars in your business, it is, after all, what puts bread n butter on the table!! And they certainly helped while raising kids!!
No way they designed a car that you cant change the cabin filter, thats crazy. Most cars recommend it be changed every year or two why would they block it in
From what I've seen it was designed that way, but that's why the ends of the plastic bar have a few holes in them. I think it says in the manual they expect you to cut it out the first time you go to replace it and just toss the plastic bar. I have to imagine they couldn't figure out a way to mold the dash plastic without that piece in place. Without it the dash probably warped and that was the easiest fix without having to redesign the whole thing.
