This is Antonio Radic, a chessplayer from croatia. In 2016 he started the youtube chess channel "agadmator's Chess Channel", presenting interesting chess games from the past and from the present. He improved a lot since his first videos and today he is known for his detailed analysis and side stories from tournaments and legendary games.

Thanks! Although I'm commenting on this over a year after you posted it - *_and_* although I'm not making a formal suggestion of any particular game - I think I'd like to see *_any_* game where the light-square Bishop (of either side!) is actually the *_good_* one! Every game I encounter (not just on this wonderful channel!) seems to feature the dark-square Bishop as being so amazingly powerful, that it really makes me wonder whether the light-square ones just suck... or what?!? Weird! I think there's some obvious something-or-other that I'm missing, here - but I've no clue as to what that would be! Thanks again. Rikki Tikki.

Hey man, I think you can find more sorcery games in recent. Like in lichess tournaments. It doesn't have to be by famous players necessarily. Grandmasters would be enough. The main thing is how crazy is the game.....because the crazier the game the more entertained people people will be.

Also... after Black's move 25, I'd *_much_* rather play the White pieces! It's not that Black is up 18 to 17 in material. It's that White has a Queen & a piece against Black's Rook & *_3_* pieces [minus one pawn, of course!]! Black simply has more "troops" to commit to the fight, which *_should_* translate as more mobility, as well as more attacking chances. So let's see! ;) Rikki Tikki.

Spanish people have two surnames, the first from the father and the second from the mother; and the father's surname takes priority. So the correct abbreviation of Fernando Visier Segovia would be "Fernando Visier" or just "Visier". "Segovia" is normally mentioned only when giving the name in full. His children, if any, inherit Visier but lose Segovia, getting his wife's surname in its place.

At 5:02, what happens if white captures with the Bishop instead of the rook. Seems like the rook capture allows the double attack forcing white to lose material at this point. Realise that it makes the game less interesting and winning after giving up your queen for 3 pieces makes for a great game. Seems both players made one mistake, both of which were exploited by their opponent, but Tal's mistake was fatal. Love your analyses!

Why did rook capture on f4 instead of knight or bishop? Maybe so if queen captures on e6 then e4 is protected. To me it looks as if Tal's opponent actually DID see this coming 😉

Hi to everyone, does anyone have any idea why after the white rook moves on a7 (in 6:15), the black Queen does not captures the pawn in e6 but instead f captures on e6 comes. Is some tactics that prohibit this action line?

@3:02 I guess that Tal wasn't going to allow the trade of queens - the gambit 3. dxe5 Nc6!? 4. exd6 Bxd6 is a decent line for Black that fits his style. P.S. I did find the mate after you told it was in the position, but Segovia's achievement is greater, as he calculated the line right over the board without a prompt! He was a strong player indeed!

There's not many views on this series compared to some of the other videos, but I think it's safe to say the real chess fans are here for these games because they are just beautiful.
