@@darrensmith5163 Forgot to say. That really is great video. It explained all manner of issues surrounding the finances of a football club. Especially of interest to me was the way decisions and transfers from this/previous years potentially have financial implications for years to come. Excellent.

@@jehsheffield thank you, much appreciated. It is easy to become immune to the numbers in football. He "only costs a few mil" "worth much more than 20 odd mil" Eye watering numbers when you actually think about it. In reality those sums, albeit funded by TV, do come with complications that once you jump on that mouse wheel it is hard to jump off unscathed if things don't go right on the pitch.

He didn't buy the assets with club money. The club bought them from the former owner. They are now club assets.

@@darrensmith5163 I'm not saying he owns those assets mate, my point is that the loan needs to be paid and cleared off using those profits.

@@Daveyboi-tk8bt yes but that is different from he took out. He didn't take a loan out we, the club did, and we, the club, need to generate the income to repay it.

@@darrensmith5163 It seems to me the prince has had a structure from day one! and that's fine to protect the club I get that but to oust wilder on the sky sports news broadcast on his transfers when he tied his hands on wages meaning his 1st choice signings maupay n Watkins went elsewhere is poor. Now we know why players only come when the windows in the dying moments time and time again. He brought Slav in didn't back him with any money even tho he assured him he would. He knew we would have to change the squad to his style and only reason he got Slav in was to appease the fans because he would be called out as a cheapskate if he made hecky manager in the summer. It's all smoke and mirrors from him wouldn't surprise me if our profits are being used for the beerschot new training ground whilst we are training at ponds forge 😂

The answer isn't that easy though....there is nobody willing to buy the club and gift it millions. If there was they would have shown themselves by now. KM searched actively for a buyer for years and the Prince got the club cheaply and could turn a profit on his investment very easily. There isn't anybody ringing up to buy it.
