Septugenarian here. Have heard some of the best old timers. Heard Scruggs in mid days, Rice, Krauss, J Douglas in early days. A collection of pickers like this gives me assurance that the sound will go on. Keep pickin guys and gals, it's worth the joy.

OH YES! I was born and raised here in southwest VA where I still reside. It's close to Bristol, TN and my band has been recording for a few months there on State Street - Bristol TN. We play metal, but here... The sweet sounds of your grandfather's bluegrass playing in campsites and in the homes of the country-folk is the true musical sounds in these Appalachian (Real pronunciation is ' app- a- latch- an ' ) Mountains. There are no-more talented and humble musicians than here in these green, forest covered mountains. Respect to all of you, and man that playing is truly something vintage and purely heartfelt music.

Music is very similar to drugs as it binds to receptors in our brain . (Allegedly) lol check out all Billy’s stuff and you should also check out Micheal Cleveland. he’s a blind kid deaf in one ear that is arguably one of the best fiddle players to ever live.

I've always licked a blue Grass sound but since my exposer to is a scratch on the surface my opinion night be Abit vague. And I'm primarily a Jimi Hendrix fanaric. This video and the muscians playing are so young looking but they display qualities about them as they play that can bring any stranger to this music through the to watch and them play .cool stuff I'm glad I'm fell into acouple weeks back

bsu87beaver then you should go to the Steel Wheels Red Wing Roots Festival. Last year, I saw Billy Strings jam with them, Jon Stickley, Stephane Grembel, and several others. Awesome!
