Why did Blair set him up deceive Vanessa, I wonder? I guess Chuck is capable of seeing beyond his sex drive and general selfishness at times but he sure does drop the ball in dramatic/devastating fashion. He was going to help V out of concern for good investment, even general welfare. But when Blair outed that Chuck had no feelings for her, he let Blair stay queen yet called her out subtly when V was away. Then he decided he wanted a commitment from her, he didn't want to casually have her, so he's a bit of a hypocrite, because she asked for those words before he even realized he might mean them. Blair was his fixation and one of his best friends, but "I love u" is next level....I guess b wasn't afraid Chuck would sleep with v, she was afraid that their bet meant nothing to him, that he wasn't going to bat for him?

If blair was more concerned that Chuck wouldn't go to bat for her more than she was afraid of him sleeping with Vanessa, maybe she's not possessive or only feeling for him out of possessiveness. Chuck was the weaker link in that regard but he seems to feel deeply when he's actually brave enough to do so.

I can see your point but this is Blair. She has known him since they were 4 yrs old and his history with girls. His “Conquests and Victims” games? I think she is making it clear she will not be apart of that, she is not one of those random girls. As Blair is also thinking of her social standings probably too. This is Chuck Bass! Chuck socially destroyed her and abandoned her while saying one of the most tasteless things I’ve ever heard to her, she forgave him. Then abandoned her for the summer while sleeping with everyone and she, after returning for 2 days is supposed to forgive and forget?! This is Blair she holds herself in higher standards! I think the very recent hurtful events leading up to that point I can see her point of view of not trusting him. He’s done NOTHING to have it. I was sooo happy Chuck said those things and Ed did an outstanding job showing the difficulty for his character to express that kind of intimacy. But Chuck kind of stays emotionally immature until end of S4.

yeah well he cheated on her which is one of the worst things he could do other than killing her and kissing another girl infront of her while they were together so she has every right to question his love for her

@@annoula2378 I honestly don’t remember him cheating on her.

@@annoula2378 they weren't dating though. they had only spent a week together, nothing suggested they were together and the show doesn't say he cheated on her when they're not afraid to show it (all the characters cheats constantly)

The writing and the wit between them is the best on this season.
