Such a bummer but I didn't expect much else lol

If they’re gonna remake a movie, they should completely change the storyline around. This looks redone in a worse way. 😭

Regarding the missing inhaler scene, there was a moment where Ryan reaches into his pocket and finds shotgun shells but no inhaler. It was maybe 15 seconds before he does the trick with the water bottle. It happened really quick.

Totally agree with all your points, but I'd like to point out that the character with asthma reached in his pockets at one point and only pulled out bullets. I'm pretty certain that was when the character realized they didn't have the inhaler. And that's why they just grabbed the bottle immediately. Also just noticed that someone else commented this too lol. Glad I'm not the only one who saw it.

The scariest thing about this film was the 'To Be Continued' at the end.

I went and saw this last night. Like, the scariest thing about it was when I almost dozed off with a mouth full of popcorn. Yeah, I was THAT bored. I rolled my eyes so many times in the first 15 minutes alone, that I thought I would have an attack of some kind and be rushed to the ER. Urrrgh, so bad. I always try to find at least something positive about a movie I dislike. I guess the setting is beautiful, love the woods... And... Nights in White Satin played. And... Yeah. That's about it.

I give Harlin a lot of good will because I dug A Nightmare On Elm Street 4 (which isn't exactly perfect but I found fun), but it doesn't surprise me that this movie is very pedestrian.

2:27 I love how you described that. That's exactly how I feel with some movies. A horror movie on a cruise ship or boat? Oh good I've already vowed to never go near the ocean again. I'm good 😂

Slight Spoiler: The diner scene where we meet the "townsfolk" like the two mechanics and the older and younger waitresses definitely made me feel like the locals were setting the couple up to be victims, and it was something that they had done repeatedly. I even thought that the group of restaurant patrons that Ryan conveniently runs into at the bar/ burger joint had something to do with this plan. Also, did the guy on the little missing persons flyer at the diner also stay at the same Air BnB house that Maya and Ryan did?

I didn't really enjoy it much either but i think going in with low expectations maybe helped because it sounds like even though I kinda wrote it off I still found it competent enough that there was a base level of competency in the filmmaking that made me enjoy it more than you did 😆

The preview I saw when I went to see Late Night With the Devil looked like a farce, so I'm not surprised it's crap.

This isn't the movie for me anyways as I don't like home invasion movies, but I do always appreciate watching your reviews :)

this movie was a complete disrespect to the original and for one of the most “brutal” cases the movie was very pg13. lol

I'll skip it, I'll probably see The Fall Guy instead, finally. Or IF, or The Three Musketeers: D'artagnan.

I feel I'm in the low percentage that didn't hate this movie. It's not great, but really neither was the original. And this couple here were more likeable. Now, I do live in oregon. So now I'm gonne be paranoid running into the strangers...😳💥

Just go back and watch the original.

Dude ? What’s peoples trip with this movie I loved the fuck out of it to tell you the truth I feel like a HUGE twist is coming in chapter 3 that’s how I looked at this movie that this is the first chapter in a trilogy
