You have to be careful when greed is involved, I remember how much money I lost buying nascar die cast, hot wheels are the value and your video is very helpful, love your perspective and honesty.

Yes, a lot of the cars collectors desire to have in their collection can only be found on the secondary market. It’s okay to purchase these cars. Just take your time, don’t go over budget and enjoy the hunt.

IMO buying diecast as a investment is not a good idea. Buy what you like, don’t “Go broke $1 at a time” or $1.25 now is probably more like the average.

I’ve learnt a lot since I started collecting around 17 - 20 years ago. If I knew then what I know now things would be way different now. All I can do is change my strat now and hope for the best. Got a nice stash of Chirons, Liberty Walk 2000gtr / GT-R / Lamborghini, 22B, TH VW Drag Bus Monster Truck etc etc. Also have 1 or 2 Flying Customs 2000gtr. I passed on so many of these way back and now wished I had bought every single one along with the satin blue and satin red Veyron.

Just started doing this .I'm pretty much buying what I like couple times a month..then I throw in 1 or two cars that I find ok and Maybe some else wants..maybe my grandkids will get some value..but now my display is looking pretty cool

That is an incredible purchase. A lot like what I do at swap meets. Especially a big lot of First editions. Like you said I get them fo about 2-3 doallars a car .The only difference is I cut out S/H and I get to build my own lot with the cars I want. Not to sell, but to collect. The local owner even gives me a ride home if the box is too big to carry.

I think there a lot of scalpers out there. People find a sth in store for .99-1.25 then ask for $60-$220. That’s scalping. I feel like some of the RLC cars are at insane price’s!

Yeah that’s not exactly scalping. If you find a super and want to sell it that’s your choice. If you dig through cases and grab every th and sth worth any money on the pegs with the sole purpose of selling them for profit, then it’s scalping

Hahaha I can build a custom out of a car I paid a dollar for and sell it for $65 mainline cars in the past 20 year will never be worth that. If you want to collect hot wheels go way back to the 1960’s 70’s and 80’s that’s where money is or RLC cars

Well it not to make me rich cause I pay double of what you pay for it really for the wars as you know metals increase in value and have something to do when you can't no longer go outside can piggy back on Amazon or eBay in time.
