Mintskull didnt talk about this( because obviously it's about addons and not offerings ) but killers were able to mori survivors without the need to hook them so i think it was fair in 2016 😂.
Well we only need to look at the other survivor stuff. Like instant flashlight blind (it took like 0.2 seconds to blind a killer). Instant healing (Not just with the syringe, but with just perks, you could drop a pallet, and before the killer was able to break it, you could have healed yourself) BHVR has always favored survivors, to the point where the lead dev didnt even know how bad insta blind flashies were, until he got humiliated by a Korean team. And even recently BHVR nerfed all the decent gen regression perks, while survivors get gen fixing things buffed, cause they want to go back towards those 2 minute matches. Oh not to even mention how the soon™ released Lara Croft, has an insane gen fixing perk, that is 100% uncounterable as it doesnt "fix" the gen, but lowers the max fixing needed. So it doesnt matter how much the killer kicks that gen, that progress cannot be removed.. so soon any gen regression will be more or less useless Its the same in every game where the devs play just 1 thing. Another good example, is Blizzards Hearthstone, it has multiple races like murlocks, undead, naga. But the lead dev clearly plays Beasts, and its always been 200% stronger than anything else ever. And if anything is found that could even remotely compete with Beasts, those cards are immediately nerfed into oblivion.
Remember that no matter how good you are at hitting the survivors with your bottles, you will still miss a lot because unlike huntress hatchets Clown bottles have a small hitbox, they weren't designed to hit survivors directly, and on top of that you only have one chance to hit the survivor and you will get punished with a lot of time wasted if you just miss one time
Iri blight tag after the patch with infinite rushes was very powerful. And if you you count ptb the two trickster addons two reduce the amount of blades to get main event and getting blades back after main event in that ptb because main event was changed from 30 to 8 and they also almost brought back 7 blink nurse in another ptb now we have 5 but not nearly as powerful as the omega 4 blink nurse.
I still find it funny when the cut thru u single and edge of revival album didn’t stack when trickster came out. But suddenly started stacking when his adjustments/buff came out. Classic BHVR Spaghetti code.
The balance in the early game was completely fucked, you had bnps which instantly completely 1/5th of your objectives as survivor and on killer you had moris which allowed you to complete 1/4 of your objectives on a single down
And with doing gens or jumping into lockers. It's the most painful thing, if you as Michael want the evil incarnate achievement and some survivor just jumps into a locker and doesn't come out, while you wait for 15+ minutes. It feels like the old hatch standoffs in those situations.
Not the addon, but I recalled time, when you could escape with your team, using key. As a killer I sometimes had to stay nearby to the hatch, to prevent them escape (and sometimes use old Franklin's Demise)
one more addon combo for the trickster (i dont remember what they were called) in the ptb for the trickster buff the it made the trickster throw faster during event and also for every time you hit a survivor it would increase the main event duration so hypothetically if you had caught survivors off guard and with forced hesitation you could get them all into the dying state almost instantly
As a survivor player, tbh, i dont think that tombstone is that overpowered, i mean, yes it makes myers much more strong, but anyways is ez to counter him just by entering a locker and forcing the grab If he is an infinite myers also, by the time he got to tier 3 with the 2 addons, the survivors have time to make like 4 full gens... And after he reaching tier 3, by going in a locker one or 2 survivors can be sacrificed for the other ones to scape And in case he dont have also the infinite addon, by forcing the grab u can lost his time enough for him to loose tier 3
Btw, u can tell if he runs tombstone just by wathing his left hand, if he has it close he doesnt hace tombstone, but if he has his hand open, he is running tombstone. And telling tonur friends Is literally the first thing i check whem playing agains myers (I know that is so much harder if u play solo q, but lets be honest, solo q is worst in general against any killer)
13:30 they can avoid getting stalked, get on generators, start cleansing a totem, gen rush, and can know if you have the addon if your hand is open instead of being in a fist. It’s really not that strong of an addon, especially on a killer like myers.

Ill never forget hearing Kyto talk about old Dead Hard needing skill to use when he showed gameplay of him using the perk to phase through a killer in the pick up animation and blind him. A killer who knew he was there and would have gotten away if not for Dead Hard completely nullifying their good positioning.

Idk if anyone played overwatch in the early days, but Trickster's Cut thru u + Edge of revival was the same shit as Hanzo's scatter arrow. At least in the way it ended up being applied/optimized, regardless of design intentions. Ifkyk
Honestly I think MDR wasn't even that bad. Did it make Spirit a lot harder to even have a chance to outplay her? Yes. Did it make playing against the Spirirt more unfun? Yes, but mainly because you dont get information about her having this addon. Did it break Spirit all on his own? Hell nah. The purple Medallion thingy (forgot the name, sorry) was way worse in my opinion. As far as I remember, it made your phase last way longer but didn't increase your recovery time. So you had like a 40% (I believe?) longer phase without any downside of making it so your power takes longer to recharge (making the recharge addons completely useless btw). In combination these two DEFINITELY obliterated the game but MDR on its own just made looping Spirit drop to a 3/10 instead of a 4/10 maybe 5/10 for me personally. But I'm a Masochist anyway so yeah...
Tombstone piece is not even that broken tbh, a coodinated team should not let the myers get the mori, leading him to just be an m1 killer with an instadown
I honestly hate how yall gas up Tomb stone piece so much. Is it strong? - yes But it reall dosnt make Myers much better. He is a basic attack killer. Toy falls for the weaknesses as others like him. Such as Trapper or Freddy. The counter play is extremely easy. Not only loop him better because he is a bsic attack killer but Survivors have many tools to avoid it. Lockers is one of the strongest ones as well. Or Slow Vauting windows forcing Myers to grab or stay on gens. There is also the fact It takes a long time for him to even get the stalk needed. With enough time and knowledge you can guess the build. Especially after 1 player dies (because it can happen) you'll know. How to avoid
I think it's kinda unfair how the nerfed the pinky finger so much, considering clown is already a really bad killer. like, as a clown player I want something that drives interest for others to play him
I would argue that pre-3.4.0 Spirit was the most broken killer (in terms of pure power) as she required no skill (or even experience) to play back then. You could just pick her up and BAM.No leaning curve back then. The add-on wasn't even required.
Tombstone Piece still reigns supreme. The most broken add-on in the game! With the right build, Judith's Diary, perk Nemesis that changes the obsession, it's possible to kill 3-4 people with it. Only wish the killing was in Michael's base-kit.
Myer's Tombstone add-ons are really bad but I hope when they get around to rework him, they'll still allow Myers to directly kill just ONE survivor per match with the Tombstone Piece, maybe. I think it's a huge part of his identity now, and it'd be a shame to remove it entirely.
