No you don’t have to be kidding. It is based on Shakespeare and Greek tragedy as they are the building blocks of drama. Which is why it is so successful as it has depth and dynamic.

"Atlanta" does the triple balance just as well. It's the golden age of TV.

You can literally see Tom's progression to the moment he chose to betray Shiv. Their wedding night when Shiv basically asked for an open marriage all the way to when Shiv told him "bed talk" that she doesn't really love him and shes out of his league

I can't wait to see what Tom and Sporus are up to next season.

During their role playing and Shiv says she doesn't love him.....he played so many emotions simply by the look on his face, amazing acting!

@@Me-ui1zy So true. Succession will have more seasons and Sarah Snook should (and hopefully will) win but that one deserved to go to Rhea Seehorn. It's a shame that Julia Garner took it, when she has already been plenty recognised.

@@l.josino her best performance was in the last season of ozark though.. I have yet to see a clip of rhea in BCS but I'm sure she deserves it !

@@scorpio2607 I understand, but I'm the kind of person who's like "she already won that award for that role... give it to other people now" hahshsvah I always wish for variety in award shows, especially television ones. And I hope you can get the time to check out Better Call Saul, because Rhea Seehorn (and Bob Odenkirk) absolutely kills it and she only got better with each passing season. Bob Odenkirk did mention before that because she is a very controlled character, it's harder to get award shows to recognize it, and unfortunately it seems he will be right until the end :(

In the moment it's so difficult to just appreciate the acting, because the story is mesmerizing. Watching it like this is a great reminder of how incredible every actor in this show is.

@@TB91178 i think ur right but i also took it to mean that she doesn't actively show love for him, but she does 'love' him, which i think is a lie or an attempt to placate him or maybe she even believes it herself idk. but i think the ambiguity or offhandedness and how she doesn't care to explain herself or think its worth her time just makes it so much worse

Right and hopefully she has a lead part this season ?? I don't understand these award shows putting her under "supporting actress" when she's the main actress of the series.. with very close to the same amount of screen time as her counterparts.

Ditto. I was left goosebumpy, stunned & breathless from those last scenes. It actually took a while before I could breathe normally again, or speak. Overwhelming power & emotion on the screen. I’m just in awe of the acting & writing of this series. It is next-level extraordinary!

I always wondered that too! I imagine Shiv dated alot of cold, narcasstic "Logan types," while partying alot. Tom probably offered a lot of stability and affection to her. She just doesn't know how to return that being raised in such a dysfunctional and cold household.

Her past with Nate - they seem like intellectual equals. In season 2, Logan calls her a coward for choosing Tom as a safe choice, as someone who is not going to challenge her. I guess that turned out not to be true.

@@thesmileyeffect You should check him out in The Way We Live Now. He is the most awful, hilarious upper class waste of space. He is courting the very wealthy daughter (played by Moaning Myrtle's actress) of a very shady speculator. She does all the work and he still manages to blow it.

@@spacecadet2172 Of course it's just my interpretation : they're truly united for the very first time, which is what Logan has been trying to prevent since the beginning. Who knows how long that's going to last! But I love that we've finally gotten to a point where they stick together.

It's almost unfair how good Brian Cox is. And I mean unfair *to Brian Cox*. Because he makes it look so easy. Like he IS Logan Roy and everyone around him are actors. That you forget how powerful of an actor he is.

As good as he is, I don’t think Brian Cox will ever win an Emmy for this role (well, he only has one more chance anyway). First of all, he is always going to lose an acting challenge head-to-head against Jeremy Strong; and second, he is the only character in that show who doesn’t have an “arc”. Everyone else changes and grows and plays a wide range of A-Z emotions. Logan Roy is basically the same character in the pilot episode as he is in the explosive Season 3 finale.
