This may sound crazy, but a few weeks ago you said you had a dream about your plants overflowing with life and just growing so big. When you told this to us I had a big feeling you were pregnant. I took it as a sign of a plant being fertilized and life blooming for you. I’ve heard of friends have dreams similar to that when they were pregnant. I’m so happy for you!

I have been wanting to do this too, but for holidays and seasons. I haven’t gotten the ornaments for any of them yet, but... I am Pagan, so I would also do pagan sabbath things: the next one coming is on February 1st - Imbloc/Brigid’s Day (spring is coming) and I would do red, black, white, & silver. This fall I will definitely be getting ornaments for everything I want to do.

I always keep my tree up so late lol I hate hate hate taking it down and putting all my ornaments away. This yr I was devastated pulling my ornaments out of storage. A bunch of my memorable/special ones were broken bcuz my bf put them away last yr and just put them loosey goosey in a cardboard box 😱😭

Yessss ignore all the "just wait", "you're barely pregnant", and "well that didn't happen in my pregnancy". Every symptom, emotion, and experience is different for everyone and enjoy (or dislike) them as you see fit! For me weeks 5-13 I slept sooo much! I think 14 hours most days.

the only “just wait” comment I’d ever leave would be - just you wait, it will be worth it, and no matter what pregnancy symptoms you end up dealing with, none of it matters once they place that baby in your arms 💓🍪 Mine is 14 now and I’d do it all again in a heartbeat!

Hugs!! I'm so so happy for you and Grant! Y'all are just so sweet. I don't have a book recommendation, but my grandmother gave me the rocking chair she had used to rock me when I was a baby. Along with that, she gave me a book of poetry about motherhood and told me to rock the baby as I sit in the chair, rub my belly, and softly read to the baby. She also told me this would help calm the baby down if they were restless. Sure enough, it worked and even after my baby was born, making up little stories and told in a softly quiet voice while I rocked him in the rocking chair. He'd calm right down and go to sleep. That rocking chair is now passed to the fifth generation of mothers who are about to have their babies. I can see you and Grant making your own baby traditions even now! My midwife literally told me *not* to read "What to Expect When You're Expecting". "Expecting Better" by Emily Oster is a great book. It really combats a lot of restrictive outdated advice.

My family usually waits until after “Three Kings Day” Jan 6th to take down Christmas decorations. And YESSS definitely do the baby shopping now while you still have energy and aren’t carrying a belly around 👍

I loved the “Cherish the First Six Weeks” book. It truly took the guesswork out of the newborn weeks and gave us the confidence as first time parents to conquer newborn sleep and all the other crazy things you don’t think about until you’re in it. So excited for you guys and love how motivated you are to just get going. There’s no time like the present! Enjoy each and every moment no matter what everything else thinks is “ridiculous!”

I honestly hate that people make other people feel bad about buying stuff too early. Like it's your baby, do what you feel is best. That's my only advice for all of motherhood. Do what feels right for your family.

My daughter in law is pregnant with our first grandchild. Almost as soon as she found out she was pregnant she started buying things. Once she found out the gender (boy) she really started buying things. And I've sent several things to her. It's all good.

I’m about a month ahead of you in pregnancy and I felt like I was constantly saying disclaimers like “I know it’s early, but...” the reality is for me at least, I fell in love with this child the second I saw that positive test. It was the best thing for me to channel positivity no matter what! I’m so glad you went to look at baby things and talk about names, it’s so fun!

I LOVE how excited you are LeighAnn. I love seeing people who are expecting and or about to have their baby because it is such genuine happiness. Everyone deserves it. YOU deserve it. It reminds me so much of my first pregnancy and how much I loved it and enjoyed EVERYTHING and bought all the books and things. It is such a magical time. I am currently 9 weeks, and so excited to see you go on your journey while I am on mine. I totally understand the no "just waits" I kind of feel like those feel a little condescending sometimes, like for my first pregnancy people would tell me that all the time, and I feel like its just another way of people trying to make you feel left out or saying "you don't really know yet." Forget those people. Enjoy your pregnancy and all of the fun times and hard times too. You guys fought really hard for this. I hope that you have a great experience and love your videos.

For me personally, I had every intent of reading a bunch of books and was always two tired or used my energy to keep up with other things. As a mom of two, all pregnancies are so different and reading about all the things that can or will happen just made me more anxious. You don't need books to be a good Mama. It all comes naturally. You got this!

Find an ob you like and don't be afraid to switch and ask about their practice setup. Depending on how they run their clinic, it's super common to get a doctor delivering your baby that you've never met (that's what happened to me). They looked at me like I had a second head when I asked to meet the other doctor and while they let me, a third doctor I'd never met actually delivered my baby. They also ignored a bunch of my preferences and whatnot but that's another story... Just don't be afraid to switch -even if they have great reviews, you might not vibe with them and if they ignore you or pressure you into stuff later you need to be okay speaking up.

You're not alone in trying not to think about how it's not real or thinking that there's disappointment around the corner. I didn't struggle with fertility, but with both my boys, I would have moments of fear. Its so much unknown, so reminding yourself often that everything is going to be fine is key. You're doing great and you have an amazing partner to be there for you too. Still eating cookies for you and baby!♡

Congrats on your pregnancy, so happy for you!! First time mom of a 7 month old over here! My best advice is don’t be afraid to ask for help! Also, soak in all the snuggles while baby is sleeping, because once they get out of that newborn phase you don’t get many snuggles. As much as you may want to clean up a bit, if baby wants to be held, go with it and get all the lovin you deserve!! Lastly, go with your instinct. You can read every book and you will get so much advice from others, but you do you mama! Do what you think is best because you know your baby most. 🥰. It all goes so fast, and I’m sure you will hear that a lot, but it really does fly by.

Haha, we did this last weekend... SOOO many confused parents aimlessly milling around, walking into each other, not knowing what to do! There were jack in the box sales assistants down every aisle, jumping out of nowhere, asking if we needed help. Terrifying, I fled! Maybe will do take two another day...

I loved the movie Bambi, when my first born was 7 months I took him with me to watch it at a military base private showing and even at that young age he loved all the colors and music. I decorated his nursery with Bambi decor and now that baby is 56 and I still love the movie. Congratulations on your wonderful news and enjoy each day as you grow with your little one.

I’m still so excited for you guys and so excited to follow your journey ❤️❤️ I was told I couldn’t get preggo and if by chance I did I wouldn’t be able to carry to term and we were blessed (&surprised) when by a miracle we did. That said I spent the entire pregnancy worrying that something was going to go wrong instead of enjoying the fact that I was. So if I can give you one bit of advice & if by chance you read this, don’t make my mistake, enjoy it every moment! Yes worries will creep in, feel them and then let them go and enjoy! ❤️❤️

After a couple miscarriages I was too afraid to work out during the first trimester so I walked a lot and really liked listening to audio books while walking. My favorite pregnancy ones were: What to Expect When Expecting (it’s very long, so I would listen to the chapters that went along with how far along I was at the time), Expecting Better, and Brain Rules for Baby. Congrats!

Congratulations! My son is a miracle baby (my Dr dubbed the term) I have PCOS and after 10 years (did not have the funds for IVF) I randomly got pregnant. I took 15 tests lol, because I could not believe that after 5 million, I finally had a positive one. I also knew very very early so early my first ultrasound showed nothing as it was too small (could not go by last period, because, well, PCOS It was crazy, so I can feel your excitement. I cried in your last video. As for books, I actually suggest the good only What to Expect When You're Expecting. Its popular for a reason. But now they have all kinds of apps, and crazy stuff, so who knows. You all are in my prayers, and I'm so excited to watch your journey.

Anything by Dr. Sears is parenting gold, especially "Attachment Parenting" and "The Fussy Baby Book." I read "What to Expect when You're Expecting" when I was pregnant with my first, and thought I was prepared, but once baby came, it was still really hard adjusting until I discovered these books by Dr. Sears. Total GAME CHANGER. Some babies need to be held more and need a little extra cuddling and nurturing, and rather than fight it, he helped me to embrace that style of parenting in a life-changing new way. What seemed like such a challenge at first (especially while struggling with post-partum blues) was actually a blessing in disguise, and once I came to that realization, motherhood came so much easier. Thanks to Dr. Sears and his wife Martha's invaluable advice, my son and I bonded even more and we're still so close to this day. Now I'm the one who doesn't want to let go now that he's about to go to college! ❤

That deer ornament, soooo sweet! I don't know why I didn't think of this before but your child /children are not only lucky to have you two as parents but they also get to see how much they were really wanted. That is priceless! (And could come in handy when they are mad and say you don't love them. You will be able to pull up the videos and have the upper hand in those arguments/times.) Happy New Year!

Pregnancy to me was always waiting for something bad to happen after 2 miscarriages (1 before each successful pregnancy I had) but what I learnt second time round was that I would rather people around me know whats going on and grieve with me if that is the way it goes but I also allowed myself to be excited and try to bond with my little bean baby in utero the second time around which made pregnancy better rather than a dread. It didn't stop me getting bad postnatal anxiety and depression but even that has changed my life for the better after receiving amazing support and care from inlaws, it has made us closer - everything has a silver lining and I am loving watching your story 😊

Moms on call !!! Best books ever! My husband calls them my baby Bible. Ebook is on Amazon to download. There are several books divided by age. They are so so good and written by two moms who were pediatric on call nurses, so they seen and heard everything!! So so happy for y’all and Grant is just the cutest!! ❤️

@@drhannibelle I don’t think that’s what they are meaning it’s more like “just wait you think you are sick now. I was so sick I died and they had to revive me when I was 16 weeks.” But also people can announce their pregnancies whenever they see fit as well.

@@drhannibelle, but she shares everything on here. Do you think she could suffer an early loss and not share it? I seriously doubt it. Also, even if she does (fingers crossed she doesn’t!!!), there really should be less stigma about it and about talking about it and grieving and all that, and we only remove that stigma by talking about it and acknowledging it. I had so many friends that I never knew had early miscarriages until I was pregnant myself and they felt more comfortable to share their experience (knowing I had had the same fears as they lived through).

@@drhannibelle the “just wait” comments have nothing to do with concern for how early she shared it. I’ve had 2 babies. People are always saying “just wait” you think your tired now. Wait until you’re further along. Wait until the baby gets here. Etc. it’s never ending and it’s really annoying.

I'm just so happy for you and Grant. I was married the same summer as you and my husband and I struggled to get pregnant as well, but after a year and a half of trying it happend. Now we are expecting our little girl in March. I'm so excited to see you go through pregnancy have the baby you've have been praying for. P.S. I completely understand how you feel- I had a missed miscarriage in January for my first pregnancy and now that I’m pregnant again, I have had the feeling of anxiousness and always wondering if something will happen. My Best advice is to just ENJOY every single moment and the journey of your pregnancy and to try to be as present as possible. Sending so so much love to you and grant and CONGRATULATIONS!! ❤️

So so excited for you! I went baby shopping the day after I got a positive test! I still have a couple of months left but her nursery is done and I am slowly collecting all the essentials. I’m glad I started early because I feel huge relief now 🤗 for books: real food for pregnancy, expecting better, cribsheet, and bringing up bebe. Also just getting into transformed by birth and I’ve found it really helpful and comforting so far!

I've had 5 babies,.and every single time I have had that same fear. It's a fear leading up to every ultrasound. It will definitely get better once you can start feeling baby move, but I absolutely get it! I'd love for you and Grant to do a pregnancy/fertility q&a!
