This is even funnier when you consider tau are so commited to shooting their battlesuits can all shoot while in engagement distance. I.E. shooting in melee.

Bringing melee to a gunfight. Ah, yes, the jiujitsu of war. Get on your back and then yell obscenities at your opponent from the ground in hopes of luring them closer to your trap. Meanwhile, most people with a tactical brain will laugh and cut you down from afar. Only humans, nids, chaos entities, and orks like melee fights.

You got sniped? I just teleported on the rooftops as a necron lord with flayed ones, that and the solar pulse wargear, absolutely ducks the Tau since they can't use range, as a ranged unit. Same with vehicles as well.

@@Wormy_fren On Dark Crusade, the problem wasnt the rooftops with the stealth suit guys, it was the waves coming from the command posts on the far left and far right of the map. Considering they had stationary units and other mini bases on the way to each one, if i didnt kill their 12k hp dinosaurs fast enough there was a high chance that they'd send wave after wave of reinforcements with krootoxes and hammerheads to attack both my base and my units pushing through the map. Their main base was kinda bullshit aswell, dropping honor guard versions of their units constantly while u got bombarded with the broadsuits and crisis suits. Overall it was not a very pleasant experience compared to some of the other stronghold missions, plus i did all campaigns on the hardest difficulty so i played a part on my own suffering lel.

The only thing I remember is narrator from Dark Crusade, saying after Tau victory that it might, *might* be one of the reasons why Tau outpopulated humans so quickly after campaign was over. Tbh it's gonna take that single blue feller a lot of shots... add in lightning fast reactions and ooooh boi. Then no overwatch too... yeah. Especially when that banshee is moving so damn quick it will be hard for the tau to even track. In game turns a banshee is moving 8+3.5+10 inches when charging on average. I'm not an eldar fan, hate them, tau were my first army, they aren't that great. If we are talking about a Skitarii Ranger, now we are cooking.

@@Pilps Oh btw pilps, if you were ever going to do "The Eldar Experience", I recommend checking out the crucible mod. The upcoming patch for them is designed to add a ton of Eldar content and craftworlds, might be a strong base mod to showcase different bits of Eldar.

Actually your gaunts are the distraction and work on any vs match...even Tau and I still feel sorry for the Tau when it's vs experienced Tyranids players.

I would like to know if a tau battle suit could pull the same shenanigans against a salamander or space wolf. Salamanders because they have better armor Space wolves because they are better in close combat. They might be able to because mech but still that's a fight I'd watch.

@@thelardmaker6806 fair enough. I'm more then happy to argue that heavy infantry can take on what is essentially a dreadnought with more fire power. Mainly because 1) it takes a tau dreadnought to match imperial space marines. 2) I love the idea that a space marine with a power fist can bring one down. 3) I love the mental image of an unarmored tau inside the suit screaming in terror as a space marine rips the hatch off it. So yeah tau battle suits are scary, and I am immeasurably happy when they get ripped apart like 80% of the warhammer fan base is.

I think it's just the meme culture behind it, i don't really think people actually think this about the Tau, they are actually my 2nd favourite race/faction in the WH40K lore :D

The reason why they get called a "Weebo Race" is because when GW desinged the Tau, they draw elements from some Asian Cultures, from traditional Japanese to traditionañ Chinese and some ... Indian (I think I don't quite remember) Because people had a much negative reaction to them for standing out so much because and I quote some people. -"They disgraced my precious Grimdark setting" Some pepole just decide to call them whatever offensive word came to mind and because they have some asian inspiration and many people asociate anything remotly from the west of the world to the term Weebo. Welp I think it explains itself.

Actually there is an fan project called Noble Dark Imperium wich is an AU of 40k where the Imperium of Man basically anexed the Eldar after, Imperial soldiers and Eldar warriors manage to recue Isha from the Garden of Nurgle in the Warp. In this AU the Imperium wich in not Xenophobic (At least no the point of wiping out every Alien they meet kust because) has assimilated several alien civilization in their society and territory, wich includes the Tau Empire or this AU the Tau Provinve given that now they are a part of larger Empire and no longer and Empire of their own. In this AU the Tau Jonied the Imperiun when the Attacks of Chaos became incresingly more brutal to the Point the Tau realized they couldn't survive alone without help (Because in this AU chaos is running rampant 24/7 because they have converted some Orcs Tribes to their cause, yet Chaos Orcs) Another reason why the Tau let themselves be anexed into the Imperium was because that way they could more effectively spread the greater good trought the Galaxy and withing the Imperiun itself. And in this AU the Farsight encñave still exist, they are a small faction of Tau that broke off of the Empire when they decide to join the Imperiun because from their point of view, the Etheral caste has forsaken the Greater good.
