They look good. With out offending, I stay in my house; been married with my wife for 39 years and she cooks great. We get out not very often and most of the time get disappointed with what they call “Mexican food”. Can’t say anything wrong about this place, will go definitely next time and taste it. About machaca, for 39 years have had the best at home. We both, my wife and I, are Mexican born and raised, living in the states since 1985. At the present live in El Paso, Tx. Great place to live. God bless the 915 and around places, God bless the Great USA, amén.

Just wanted to let you know that due to this video, I stopped at Lucy's and had the same tacos you did. I was really waiting for the time I pass through El Paso after I have seen this video and these were the best tacos I ever had. I love your channel, I think it's a must for every foodie in Texas! I will recommend my friends on FB to follow you.
Great piece! El Paso is one fabulous city! Amazing weather, incredible food and warm, friendly people. I lived there for 8 years and miss it terribly. Lucy's is a stalwart and was definitely our 'go to' place for lunch. A must see restaurant (among many) if you find yourself lucky enough to be visiting!
Agree, born and raised in El Paso, living here again after leaving numerous times to live in N.M, CA, Micronesia, and NJ. I love the food, people, low cost of living, amazing smell of the air after a rain, Franklin Mountains, Hueco Tanks, and living in a corner of Texas where Mexico and New Mexico are all within a 20 to 30 minute drive.
El Paso is my favorite city. Hope to move there some day. Visited for years to see inlaws and hope to move there some day soon. Love El Oaso especially the food!

@@AnimeBronx Texas in general, yeah. Abbott's covid policies are a disaster, but El Paso's numbers are much better. They learned the hard way when they were covid ground zero late last year. Everyone wears masks there, and the vaccination rate is above 75%. El Paso has a sense of community responsibility and concern for the greater good, and the residents care about each other instead of just their own freedumb. That's one of many reasons I'm moving there from rural east Texas next month. That, and the amazing weather and food. Lucy's is definitely high on my list!
@@AnimeBronx well 1st of all this restaurant is from southwest Texas which in reality we are closer to two different states and to their cities than the closest city in Texas and second of all the covid problem here is one of the lowest if not the lowest compared to big cities in Texas...and 3rd if you've never been to El Paso TX what makes you an expert on the Texas conversation 😂 but don't you worry there's still hope for you I believe in you mijito 😂😂
The Lepe family is amazing. Know several of them personally. Went to school with Josh. Hi Josh!!! Worked at Kings X. Just amazing dives and owners on both ends. Also thank you Bucket List for stopping by Rosas Cantina years ago. I was working there at that time when you did an episode there as well. EP has amazing food and even better people. Will miss this place and will always be home. El Chuco por Vida
I was born and raised in EP, wife too. We have been in San Antonio for 18 years now. Lucy's is an awesome place, the machaca is incredible, tacos Antonia, "no hombe shut up". I miss the Kings X and especially Lucy's but the L & J and Leo's, right up there too. So many places to eat GREAT food. The women in EP, too hot to mention here. If you are driving through, make a point of stopping at Lucy's or the L & J, you will not want to leave. Miss the food for sure.
For you people who live here, you need to go to Adas Mexican restaurant. It's behind the lube and go place on Carolina and Giles in the Lower Valley. The owner's name is Cesar, and he's very friendly and accommodating, and the tacos are crispy with the traditional lettuce, tomato, onion and cheese. Also the chicken enchiladas in green enchilada sauce are fantastic!
I went there with some co-workers. It didn't blow me away or anything. It was good for what it was.....yummy mexican food. To get blown away you have to go to Carlos and Mickey's.
The best food looks great all the time,good color flavor looks great fresh ingredients that’s what makes the food, and cooks that love there job and put the heart in to what they do.
Man I love El Paso I remember leaving Texas to Las Vegas for vacation it would take us 12 hours to get out of Texas lol. I'm from the rgv but as soon as we got there we would get a hotel and sleep. But the weather there once it starts getting dark is something else. It brings back a nostalgic feeling.
I lived right up the street on North Stanton for 3-years and never went to this place. I went to Kiki's about a million times though. So mad I didn't know...
@@gcrizquinn3012 The show is called Texas Bucket List so they mainly focus on Texas! Kinda hard also to travel in every other state for long periods of time.

I think that El Paso Tx has more Mexican restaurants per 1000 people than anywhere else in America. No matter where you are in El Paso, you are never more than half a mile from a Mexican restaurant. And sometimes you will be within one mile of 5 Mexican restaurants. El Paso doesn't have Tex-Mex, It has Mex-Mex (which is even better).
@@juantime7816 , I've lived here all my life and have never had the pleasure. I like Dominquez restaurant on Airways or Kiki's on Piedras street. Don't really care for L&Js restaurant. Leo was not very welcoming last time I was there. Won't be giving him my patronage ever again. Please stay safe Survive PANDEMIC So we can enjoy these fabulous El Paso restaurants. 🙋♀️😷😷🤷♀️

"Mexican food capital of the world" proceeds to show you the most Tex Mex dish ever. "Mexican food capital of the world". I think Mexico would disagree.
I know my opinion is biased, but I grew up here and noticed when I was a trucker, the farther I went from El Paso the worse the Mexican food got. By the time you get to New Jersey, you might as well wipe your ass with their version of Mexican food, cuz it's that bad! When I took my father to William Beaumont Army Medical Hospital, 20 something years ago, we ate Mexican food at the canteen on the first floor and it was made by some women who WERE NOT from El Paso. The food was HORRIBLE. El Paso has the best Mexican food, but not the new comers from farther south in Mexico. Their tacos are not crispy, they're floppy and don't have lettuce tomatoes and onions. Just steak meat in a floppy ass shell...BARF!
No kidding, El Paso has some of the Best Mexican Food to be found anywhere. Lucy's is Really Good. Many great restaurants serving the Real Deal Mexican Food. So, Ya Capital of the World. lol

We drove around and around looking for this place. In our rv. Couldn't find it. Gps took us to the area but no restaurant. We ended up with a place called Rosa's Cantina. This show should be taken down.
Good food but no where near the Mexican food capital of the world. Give it to New Mexico. Texas has only TexMex but New Mexico Hatch is the Chile capital of the world
El Paso’s Mexican food sucks. Just cross the border for better quality and seasoning. This is not even close to quality and delicious authentic Mexican food. A solid 1/10
Just ate at this place.. I had the machaca plate.. Do not eat this.. it taste like nothing but cheese.. this guy is lying by saying it is good.. So disappointed.. Traveled to El Paso and couldn’t wait to try this place.. Not good..
"Mexican Food Capital of the World" is he on drugs? that simple bland stuff is not real Mexican food, tell that poor old man to go to Mexico City or some place in "Real" Mexico to understand the complexities of real Mexican Food.
