The Silverback gorilla choice is easy. Since you can choose your arena, the best option is gun and gunstore.

I had a family member who had Necrotizing fasciitis, I regularly visited her in the hospital and they had to cut huge chunks out of her arm to the point it was wildly disfigured. They took grafts from her shoulder and thigh but they would rarely take and had to be redone over and over. She was in hospital for more than 3 months on the opposite side of the state to her home because only one hospital statewide treated that disease. She died from complications relating to it and other health problems. For an overly specific guy, I feel like he could've gone way deeper on this disease, it's truly a terrifying nightmare

For the gorilla, you could choose a gun range for easy ammo. Also, you could maybe choose a military base, and count on the soldiers to deal with the gorilla for you. He didn't say whether or not other people in the arena would leave or not, so they'd probably just stay just stay as usual.

Underwater gorilla fight is extremely smart & exactly what I was thinking! Gorillas & Chimpanzees are extremely poor swimmers due to their high proportion of muscle making them much less buoyant than humans. Relatedly, wild gorillas have never been witnessed to be able to swim at all, making it likely your opponent would simply sink & drown. Even if it was a gorilla that had learned how to swim, you would have far superior mobility & could easily keep it at bay with the spear until it exhausted itself.

With the second round, I’d just build the plane. It sounds like i get free room and board for a full five years and that’s enough for me to pick it every time. I would probably just use the first two years as a vacation and start building the third year. No matter what, I’m not gonna be able to build a plane to industry standard so I’m gonna die anyway.

I have a degree in biological/evolutionary anthropology. Gorillas can’t swim naturally- I would fight the gorilla in a deep water diving pool with a gun that I’d have to dive for the bullets for (assuming that the gun and bullets would be water safe) if not I would go with spear. Similarly- I’d give myself the paper cuts rather than chain smoking, purely because the choice of cigarettes and Dasani. Also I’d rather jump the stairs than commit 2 years of my life to box a robot. Real easy to jump off the stairs- basic level you can jump 3 stairs at a time and eventually you can jump half- then to the whole stairs. It’s really not that bad- grew up doing it all the time.

The robot one is without doubt the best one. I would actively look forwards to something like that if it were real. How does any of that seem bad? You've two years of training with Floyd Mayweather - unless there is anything specific to hold you back, that is almost guarenteed to be a life-changing alteration in almost anyone's physique and discipline. You are going down in history as another example of man v machine, with the odds not even entirely stacked against you (since it's a literal robot too, operated by a man on a controller, not an AI). Win, lose or draw, you walk away with a substantial amount of cash and a respectable legacy. Even if you were to be floored in the first round, the bulk of humanity can't really talk because we never boxed a robot, and to do any better than that only makes you look better. Unless it's allowed to kill you in the ring, or permanently disable you, I don't see the drawback nearly as worrying as what you'd gain.

I overthought the gorilla one and I think with a seven foot spear in a desert arena. If you can stab the gorilla in the leg you can outrun it. With the gorilla being covered in hair it would struggle to maintain a proper body heat so I’d just outrun it until it collapses from heat exhaustion. Old school long distance hunting strat

the best arena for the gorilla has to be on a recently frozen lake not in like peak december christmas time but more in like late march 4 inch thick ice on a lake that is not so astoundingly deep that like its scary for either of you, but also deep enough to submerge the absolute unit size of a silverback gorilla as it struggles in the water and i will step lightly on the ice and walk away

Definitely silverback. Mainly because I would love for my mom I have to tell my family that I passed away, since I'm kind of a crazy person said family members would probably have a few guesses as to how I met my demise. Then my mom would correct them and say no she was in a fight with the gorilla. Basically that would be the coolest thing I could ever do.

Here’s a very long would you rather question I created today. Would you rather your living space is infested with bed bugs or very large but non-venomous spiders for 1 week? (One rule that applies to both sides is that you can leave your house but no longer than 2 hours each day) For the bed bugs, you will have a mild reaction to the bites which will just be itching and red spots all over your body. You are guaranteed to lose a few hours of sleep each night. There are bed bugs in every room including the restroom. Bed bugs will not come out if you have to poop but they will when you shower. You don’t have to worry about them crawling into any body holes or hair but there is the risk of them getting into your food and this is the only time you are allowed to use stuff like steam or diatomaceous earth to kill them. Every piece of clothing you put on has a 30% chance of having bed bugs on them before hand and you will have to shake them off or kill them. i would choose death valley but not in full summer just very hot with the spear, i think the best chance i would have is exhausting the gorilla over a long time but im not sure if the gorilla is smart enough to realise if it went apeshit it could just instantly kill me by rushing me even though it would get injured from the spear.
