In 1969 Samuel L Jackson was expelled from historically black Morehouse College for locking board of Trustee members in a room for 2 days in protest of the school’s curriculum and governance. Included in this group of people who were held hostage was Martin Luther King Jr.’s very own father, Martin Luther King Sr. They were released when college administration agreed not to pursue punishment but they went back on that agreement and expelled him from the school. He continued with several civil rights groups that were more on the violent side until his mom came from LA to make him leave Atlanta and come back home when the FBI visited her home and told her that if he didn't leave Atlanta there was a good chance he'd be deceased within a year. In 1971 he returned to Morehouse College as a drama major and the rest is history.

I'm a Brazilian American. As a college student in Brasil, I participated in the students movement again the military dictatorship there. Here in U.S. I proud to had been part in several protests about Adis epidemic. I happy to have been in several st. protestes. Okay there Hasan... this was mid-mid at best... you really need to step up your game here. You did say to let to you know! Just kidding... In my 2x2x2x5+1 years of life, this was one of my favorite comedy shows yet (I was at this very show). And just a side note or mild correction, since I quietly let you make fun of me😉: Vegans don't want "plant-based" you can have it.... plant based people don't care about the ethics (that's purely a diet to improve one's own health). We actually have a lot in common with those fighting the oppression in Palestine. Vegans are like the Hamas of animal life (also, most of us are nonviolent). We are the only ones standing up for the atrocities being done to other animals and willing to change our own habits and lifestyle to support there rights. We are the ones willing to sacrifice our own image and people's opinion of us to do what's right, kind of like how it was to stand up for Palestine for some time (as you've certainly indicated). So while it does make for a funny joke, hating on vegans is about as easy as it gets... we are already the most hated group of people in the culture, according to some polls... The real challenge is becoming vegan and making jokes about animal abuse or meat eaters, which actually exposes the real suffering and sheds light on it. Are you up for the challenge? Look up Preacher Lawson, another amazing comedian, if you want to see what I mean.... Sorry if I "killed the vibe" lol... I think if you look at the reasoning behind it, you'd quickly realize why we do this... It's basically the same reason you make the kind of comedy you do... Cheers
