This type of comedy is difficult as you point out, and you really show your skills. Keep educating with laughs, because it's hard to win their mind if you don't win their hearts. Much Love and Freedom for the Strong People of Palestine 💪🇵🇸✊
@@DonTeridon Philistines is derived from the name Peleset, meaning People of the Sea. It's understood that they immigrated from the Mediterranean island Crete 3200 years ago.
@WanderingExistence so Palestinians are Greek ? Not Arab ? P.s I know where philistines came from , its not exactly proven that it was Crete but it was the Aegean , and they invaded that area , I just wanted someone to say it.
@@SammyObeidComedyright: tell us a joke about Allah… I think he feels a bit neglected… 😂😂😂 How cowardly, make jokes about Christ, because Christians will not make you fly…
@@alkaligreylion4419Would it not be better to talk about the intention? I support jokes regarding *every* religion if they come with the intention to educate, to show something bad for what it is. I do not support such jokes if they are motivated by hate, by the mere intention to hurt some people and divide humanity. Sometimes people are pissed about thruth being spoken about negative elements of religion and its followers (no matter which religion), sometimes people are rightfully pissed about hate being spread even if it can come thinly veiled. It should be just like anything else: If someone has honest good intentions, fine. If not, then not. And if the intentions are really good, but the means badly chosen, it should be pointed out. If the intention is really not that clear there should be an effort to really understand (not necessarily agree with!) someone's intentions before the rest. It should really be about a better humanity with less hate among humankind. It is not going to happen if most people hold on to their black and white thinking and willfully only acknowledge what fits their beliefs. Jokes and how we treat them are no exemption from that. And no, I do not believe that the betterment of humanity towards more peace and less hate and destruction and violence is easy. But if most people allow that to stiffle them and stop them from wishing for it, nothing is going to be better on this planet. Everyone should at least try to not be driven by hate oneself and try to help others with that. People should spent their energy not on destroying and wishing for destruction -although there can be cases in which it can be necessary, but on wanting to make something better. Not be numbed by the pain that comes with the realisation of how much is wrong (ethically, in a humanitarian sense and also if measured by the principles of just about any religion) is surely hard for most, but we would all be better off if we turned that pain in energy and tried to do something positive.
@@ruthietaylor8756 Objective reality disagrees. But you stay in your fantasy land where you worship some being that demands the deaths of 20,000 people including thousands of infants. Go ahead and support the literal bombing and seiging of hospitals. Stay in your fantasy, and leave us alone. Sit close together with your demon brethern. But leave us alone. @@SammyObeidComedy Next time tell your niece the truth: Bethlehem is a place where in 1950 85% were Christians, but then, something happened, begins with letter g, so now there are no Christians in Bethlehem…. Be historically accurate and truthful, at least when talking to your family…😂
@@georgemioch8981 From _Wikipedia:_ In 2006, a Zogby poll that interviewed more than 1,000 Palestinian Christians from Bethlehem found that *79% of the respondents cited the Israeli occupation as source of difficulties leading the emigration of their community.* In the same year, the Palestinian Centre for Research and Cultural Dialogue conducted a poll among the city's Christians according to which 90% said they had had Muslim friends, 73.3% agreed that the PNA treated Christian heritage in the city with respect and 78% attributed the exodus of Christians to the Israeli blockade. The only mosque in the Old City is the Mosque of Omar, located in the Manger Square. By 2016, the Christian population of Bethlehem had declined to only 16%.
@@georgemioch8981That’s strange. The articles I have read about the declining Christian population talk about Christians leaving to avoid the restrictions and checkpoint madness implemented by Israel.
@@georgemioch8981 with the letter g? The percentage of Christians in the town has been in a steady decline since the mid-twentieth century.[100][105][106][107] In 1947, Christians made up 85% of the population, but by 1998, the figure had declined to 40%.[100][105] In 2005, the mayor of Bethlehem, Victor Batarseh, explained that "due to the stress, either physical or psychological, and the bad economic situation, many people are emigrating, either Christians or Muslims, but it is more apparent among Christians, because they already are a minority."[108] The Palestinian Authority is officially committed to equality for Christians, although there have been incidents of violence against them by the Preventive Security Service and militant factions.[109][110] In 2006, a Zogby poll that interviewed more than 1,000 Palestinian Christians from Bethlehem found that 79% of the respondents cited the Israeli occupation as source of difficulties leading the emigration of their community.[9] In the same year, the Palestinian Centre for Research and Cultural Dialogue conducted a poll among the city's Christians according to which 90% said they had had Muslim friends, 73.3% agreed that the PNA treated Christian heritage in the city with respect and 78% attributed the exodus of Christians to the Israeli blockade.[111] The only mosque in the Old City is the Mosque of Omar, located in the Manger Square.[46] By 2016, the Christian population of Bethlehem had declined to only 16%.[106] The Christian population's proportion of Bethlehem fell from 87% in the 1950s to 12% in 2016.[112] A study by Pew Research Center concluded that the decline in the Arab Christian population of the area was partially a result of a lower birth rate among Christians than among Muslims,[106][113] but also partially due to the fact that Christians were more likely to emigrate from the region than any other religious group.[106][113] The seizure of Christian land by Muslim mafias and the bias of the Palestinian Judicial system have been cited as reasons leading to emigration.[114] Amon Ramnon, a researcher at the Jerusalem Institute for Policy Research, stated that the reason why more Christians were emigrating than Muslims is because it is easier for Arab Christians to integrate into western communities than for Arab Muslims, since many of them attend church-affiliated schools, where they are taught European languages.[106] A higher percentage of Christians in the region are urban-dwellers, which also makes it easier for them to emigrate and assimilate into western populations.[106] A statistical analysis of the Christian exodus cited lack of economic and educational opportunity, especially due to the Christians' middle-class status and higher education.[115] Since the Second Intifada, 10% of the Christian population have left the city.[108] However, it is likely that there are many other factors, most of which are shared with the Palestinian population as a whole.[116]
Comedy platforms are probably the only last platforms now where you can talk and preach about anything as long you deliver it comedically. And educating people about complex issues in such comedic manner is a very powerful form of art. George Carlin was a genius in this domain. Keep doing what you're doing Sammy!
@hsaproud5106 Yeah, God , or Allah, who is concerned about a twit of a comedian whose ego is more important than anybody else's has time for this jackball. What kind a Muslim are you?
Honestly, as a horrible Zionist occupier and a former owner of Bethlehem (because we Jews own everything together, of course) - one of funniest things I heard on the conflict in a long time! 'We don't do bridges, we do tunnels' slayed me. Metaphorically, I should point out in these problematic times.... Also, saw another video of yours where you say you're telling the Israeli woman you're dating 'why are you settling?' - I had the same exact joke! Mine was 'If I date a Palestinian, is that un-settling? Because that would go with my leftist tendencies...' For the record - your version is better. 🙂 Anyway, here's hoping for peace, better days for all of us, the 2 states solution, and a free and secured Israel and Palestine! And if you ever come to London, I'd love see your act! 👍
Thank you for bringing a smile to my face and giving me a little bit hope. The work you do is really important. I wish you and your family all the best and wish the people of Palestine peace, freedom and justice.
