I am going 18" or 20" wheels only and not going that low with my 84 Bronco full size 4x4.....so problem solved. Lol That is one sweet truck you got there !!
just got a 2023 single cab short bed custom built, same color as you but i decided to get 2wd with the 5.0, and from the factory it sits so freaking high in the back end been looking at how to bring it down some
Yeah the rake is crazy. You have a few options depending on your plans with it. Could do a simple reverse level and drop the rear a few inches to match the front. That would be best bet to retain ride comfort. But from a performance standpoint a rear flip kit and adjustable struts is the way to go!
is it just me or are the 2023's pretty rare, i mean i had to custom order/build it to even get one seems like they only made the fleet v6 regular cabs @@BWillsIncognito
@@NitsuJisReal i think you’re right. The few guys i know with them ordered them to their liking. 90% of the ones you see sitting new in lots or v6 work trucks. Very tough to find a 4x4 v8 single cab short beds that hasn’t been spoken for.
It depends on your goals ultimately. If you want to make it fast and able to adjust to work from a dig the Viking kit is solid if you get their UCA’s and traction bars also. For comfort or daily driving duty I’d go for the IHC kit with a more forgiving and less harsh ride.
The only reason we didn’t do that is bc we assumed they were already somewhat set at a decent starting point alignment wise. (They weren’t) But I exaggerated how hard it was for the video, only took like 10 minutes to do it that way.
Did you remove/replace the factory rear bump stops? If so, were they replaced with a smaller bump stop or no stop at all. If not bump stop does it bottom out?
I removed the factory bump stops completely. There are shorter ones you can buy but i did not. I also have not bottomed out at all yet. There are three different ways to go with the rear suspension. 1.) You bolt new struts in the stock location. 2.) You get the bolt on relocation brackets and and bolt the struts to them. 3.) You buy weld in brackets and put the struts on them. I’m currently stock location but will be swapping to weld in once I go boosted.
I’ve lowered 16 or so 4x4 trucks. You bought a crap kit. Shops like IHC makes upper & lower control arms With the option of a couple lowered amount. Zero issues with camber or drive axles. Look at Shelby SuperSnake f150 that are lowered and are 4x4. You need to research it before u just buy a cheap kit.
VAS performance makes one of the best kits available. They just don’t include the adjustable upper control arms with their kits and you have to order them separately which was my complaint. IHC UCA are known for failure actually. They make a good kit but their control arms are junk. Trust me, research was done, all the fastest boosted coyote f150’s run VAS kits due to the adjustability. Once my uca came in there was no issues, I just made this video so ppl who aren’t experienced would know to get either drop spindles or adjustable uca’s
@BWillsIncognito I would too, but I had to check. I'm more than likely gonna get the same set in brushed silver for my f150 saw your truck on customwheeloffset I like those wheels
I see you had to call in the big guns to get the job done. 13 minute video and Bwills doesn't do any work. Must be nice to have minions to turn the wrenches for you lol.
@@O.D.A.N there was definitely a few times where it became annoying haha. Just take a break now and again. I also have zero patience but it wasn’t too bad of a job. The directions supplied with the kit are very good.
Your mistake was thinking you could slam a 4 x 4. Lots of people running 2015 and newer F150s lowered, but had the common sense to realize you can’t go more than 2/4(5). Just because you didn’t do your research and spent thousands of dollars on parts that didn’t work doesn’t mean that they’re really not meant to be lowered.
Lol I love miserable ignorant comments like this. In the racing scene, which obviously you’re completely oblivious to, lowering the f150 or any rcsb for that matter is extremely common. Why else would 3+ companies make purpose built kits for these trucks? All this video did was bring attention to the information that the companies left out so the regular joe shmo who doesn’t work on his own shit (like you) can address the issue. This truck was not “slammed” by any means. It was purposely lowered on fully adjustable suspension purpose built for this truck to get the best launch results on any type of drag surface.
Wasnt anything ignorant that he didnt say wasnt true. Its known that the poverty kits with no uppers and lowers have camber issues. Its been known, been figured out, and thats why they sell higher end more complete kits for more. Come at me about “dont work on your own car” bullshit @chaney_walkedu
I started with IHC's ride quality kit and it was okay until it started snap, crackle, and, popping all the time. Went straight to IHC's performance kit when they finally released it for the SuperCrew. I'm happy and relieved that my stock LCA's are back in and now the front is lowered properly.
Yeah I agree, having the stock Control arms is just a peace of mind and seems to feel better. IHC does make a nice kit though. Good luck with it brotha!
