A lot of white women were trashing him on Twitter and other social media. Trying to cancel him, take him down. This skit was so polarizing and what I love is it was Black America who stood up for him. White women had to shut up because the Black audience were defending him. I'm white...I loved it. To say that on SNL was ballsy AF!!! How can anyone get pissed off at the truth? If Bill Burr does anything beyond being funny, it's that he spits truth. This was no different.

Love the reaction you two. Here is a little historical context for ya. June is Pride month because the Stonewall Inn Riots happened on June 29, 1969. For years leading up to the riots the Police in the area had been arresting and beating up customers of the Stonewall Inn. The Stonewall Inn was a known gay bar where gays, cross-dressers and people that identified as transgender all went. The police would arrest people for "dressing out of their gender" and other things of that nature. As well as beating them within an inch of their lives. On June 29, 1969 they had had enough and fought back. Beating police, burning out squad cars, etc. Thus the birth of Gay Rights and Pride month. Now as far a Black History month being February, I believe it goes back to the 19th century. President Ford in 1976 designated February as Black History Month because within the Black Community on President Lincoln's birthday on the 12th and Fredrick Douglass's birthday on the 14th there had been celebrations for decades. At least that is what I have read. I'm sure President Ford thought that would be the logical choice as a designated month to pick. Just thought I'd pass that along to you two. Loooooooooove the reaction. Hell half the time I tune in just to hear Jai laugh. Serious belly laughs. Especially when y'all watching Ol' Billy Burr. Peace and stay safe you two ;-)
