Curevall idea: Wheel of ingredients. A random generator (Preferably a wheel) decides an ingredient each person must use in their dish.

You should make Barry donate money to charity or punish him big time whenever anyone catches him leaving his hob on.

You guys should create a restaurant where people who pay an entry fee get to cook with a chef. You could also have a recipe challenge where customers battle the normals, cooking an item on the day's menu. An "I would serve that," challenge, with chefs judging. Maybe a "without a recipe challenge." Basically you could do what your channel does, except in a restaurant with an in-person, more interactive audience. And then you could have a standardized restaurant area also. Just a thought. Love you guys and the work you do.

Barry should have to eat one of his food hells for each time he leaves on the hob as that’d help him remember to turn it off when he’s finished using it!!

No, see. "unattended cooking" is the leading cause of household fires. If nothing is on the stove/element and it gets left on, nothing really happens other than wasting electricity. Something has to be there to heat up and burn. The stove top is going to max out at some temp and the glass is made to withstand that so it will just sit there doing nothing.

@@FaultAndDakranon thats not as fun, as there are many parts of a cooking battle that can just be delayed and it'll just turn into waiting a little longer reducing time will induce stress as they will have less time than they planned for meaning they have to change their recipies or if barry really is too forgetful skip parts of the recipy altogether

Marponsa I didn’t explain myself. They have to leave it on the hob an extra minute for every minute the hob was left on (with nothing on it). Of course, this may become a fire hazard in Barry’s case.

It's only really a good idea if he's always going to use an induction hob. My girlfriend used to have an induction hob, but since she moved to another apparent, she does not. Her discipline with turning off the hob was incredibly bad after the move, and she forgot it on good knows how many times, due to bad habits created by her former induction hob.

Kage Sekai after reading this I had flashbacks to my sister touching the hob when she was little and burning her hand. Barry has a kid now and that danger flashed through my mind.

@@nialls2142 Weird shit can happen. Plastic parts near the oven can melt from the heat which can be dangerous if they hold something flammable. I'm not saying it's likely but why take the risk when the habit is so easily fixable and even costs you money to not fix.

@@nialls2142 In the first apartment building I lived in as a student there was a big fire because someone left their hob on a tea towel close by caught on fire. Another student died from this fire. So no, this is a genuine safety hazard. (sorry for replying to a year old post, just binge-watching old episodes, and this issue hit a bit too close to home)

The problem with the curveballs is that they can sabotage the other chefs quite royally or gang up on another chef. They need to have brownie point removal if they try to go too far with the sabotages
