Although I haven't had a stroke I do have an ankle that will not dorsiflect. I find it useful to watch all of your videos and information to do with feet and ankles because anything that might help is useful. So far no cause has been found. I am waiting to see what my GP suggests here in the UK.

Thanks that's good to know. I'm seeing a neurologist in April. Meanwhile I've started using a walking brace.

I use a daytime brace and a night time one. Just saw the neurologist and he said to give it a year from now at least. His opinion was that my condition was caused by a side effect of a drug which causes spinal swelling, hence nerve compression, hence the drop foot. My affected muscles are the calf and the other muscles in the upper part of the lower leg, not the muscles lower down. Since I stopped taking the drug there has been some improvement - hope this helps and good luck

Hello, here we have to work on the nerve pathway starting from the neck down to the shoulder to the scapula. The scapula is the nerve center next to the leg and you need to release the hips in all directions. The addition of a 1 kg dumbbell will help in the overall process, in fact all the movements must be very delicate and delicate and this is what the nerves like delicate movements You won't believe it, I discovered that brushing your teeth and gently shaking your head up will successfully release the neck

Having depended primarily on a walker since 2004 when tripping became an issue, I now have a pronounced shift in my center of balance. I lean to the left to clear the leg and swing it through, and have a posture shift forward (shift forward, to the left). This shift aggravates ALL attempts to improve walking. How can I counteract a shift in center of balance?
