Please make a video, where the chefs make a complex dish and then the normals have to make it themselves only by tasting it.

I’m loving this. The normal battles are fun and creative but I love seeing the chefs test the normals abilities!

Can I suggest a simple twist to these kind of recipe challenges? Include some sporadic common mistakes in the recipes and see if the boys can pick it up. They either get it right, or screw the dish up. And Ben has to eat the dish regardless of screwed up or not. It would be quite educational for us amateur chef-wannabe viewers too, to learn what mistakes not to make while cooking

You should do a five ingredient challenge where all of you get the same 5 ingredients and see who can make the beat dish you can use other ingredients but whatever you make must have he base 5.

Interesting idea: have the three choose a desert dish to make, and declare it beforehand. Then add a modifier, randomly drawn from a hat or such, that the recipe has to made in the style of. For example, if one said "cheesecake" and got a modifier "hamburger," they would need to make a cheesecake in the style of a hamburger.

I’d love to see a blind taste test battle where Barry, Mike, and Jamie make the same recipe (that has some wiggle room for creativity - like the design on the pie crust, presentation style, etc.) and Ben and James and a few others have to determine who made which dish.

So this was an all-round delight. A lemon tart with meringue battle - YES THANK YOU (my favourite!), a thrilling race (oh you wicked sneaks, you, Ben & James, you can't just set them up for a failure like this and just sit back and enjoy the entertainment with us), and an ultimate plot twist of an ending (but really, well done, Jamie!)... This was 18 minutes of my life well spent. What can I say, I just love you guys and the easy, endless-banter-filled friendship of yours centered around the mouth-watering food. Even if watching it does give me unquenchable cravings in the middle of the night so I end up gazing sulkily into my understuffed fridge at 3 am and inevitably turning to your old cake-in-a-mug recipe.

I absolutely love the fact that despite all the progression and development all the normals have made over the years, improving their skills and techniques and broadening their expansive knowledge and understanding, there is no change in the present from the past when placed in these battle scenarios 😂 they all very quickly lose all composure, everything goes out the window as they struggle with the basics and they exude enough stress and panic to power a super collider 😂

I know I'm late to this party, but this is by far, one of my top 10 favorite episodes. I really felt that the pressure of the challenge, great directing and camera work, and the boys just being the boys, really synergized in this episode.

Just recently found your channel and am loving it. A idea I had was chef vs normal battle where the chef is handicapped in some way such as less time to cook, limited food, a budget, less equipment or limit time, or some other way.

It'd be really interesting if not everyone had the exact same recipe. Might be fun if you take out an 'essential' ingredient from each of their recipes and have them figure out what's missing/how much to add :)

Mike, when I was learning how to make meringue, & also when I was learning how to whip real whipped cream, I made plenty of mistakes! I wanted to leap into the video & fold the lemon filling into the egg whites & drizzle the raspberry jelly over it. Granted, I would have lost the contest, but I would have created a new dessert out of a mistake, which I've done b4.

This video is so funny that I was laughing so loud that I woke up my parents which would be weird for them to be asleep at 9pm.... but then I looked at the actual time 11:55pm I've been watching sorted food for so long that I forgot how time worked

I haven't gotten through the whole video yet but I am rolling with laughter at Mike indignantly shouting about his recipe, about the amount of eggs, etc. "9 EGGS?!" Maybe it's the cold medicine but that's hilarious.

The fact that it didn't pipe well (if at all), gives the pies a nice rustic look. Which in my opinion helps with the presentation.

As much as I wanted Mike to be the best in this challenge, Jamie undeniably had it at the end there. This was so great to see them all do the same recipe in a challenge!

I felt so bad for Mike when he cut the bag and all that filling was regurgitated onto his tart. Jaime truly deserved the win, and bonus point for the dad joke.

I just recently was introduced to the Fridgecam/SORTEDfood videos and I have been obsessively watching ALL THE VIDEOS for hours. I kept thinking that they reminded me of something else that makes me so happy, something else very British ... but what is it ... finally I realized: "Wallace and Gromit". Please, please, whatever deity may be watching over this plane of existence ... let Aardman Animation make a claymation version of the show - I want to see claymation James, Ben, Jamie, Mike and Barry in a claymation kitchen, cooking claymation food ... it would be so perfect.

Loving this. I'm hoping that you will do a crockpot/slowcooker challenge. Best tasting dish after slow cooking for a long time. Limited time to get all the ingredients in the pot before hands off. Blind testing for Ben & James
