Finally! Reputable vita video upcoming…. Been wanting to get one but I was hoping you’d do a video on them I after all went and got a psp from your AliExpress psp review, got mine and it’s working perfect. Only small issue is the square button seems to be a bit smaller than the slot I can see a bit of internals from there otherwise it’s great

@@TotalKommando Hi again, today I finished my project psp that I made by watching your videos. The screen I saw and bought from your ips screen video is really incredibly good. In your glass lens video, you said that it was very difficult to attach it to the transparent case, but I changed the lens comfortably without any problems. I don't know if you have tried it, but you can remove the plastic lens with a thin guitar pick without damaging the case at all. For the joystick, I printed a simple cover with a 3d printer and put a ps vita button on it and it worked great. If there is a place where I can send you images of my device, I would like to send them to you. Thanks for these awesome videos!

Samuelelabella7678 what's specs and models are you going to and from with yours? I got a joblot of 14 faulty Psp for £180 off eBay, the worst one of mine I had a screen from when I tried to replace it on my own as a kid 14 years ago.. i broke that console and it was binned.. basically turning mine into a mobile stereo using a pair of Sony Ericsson MPS-60 Walkman speakers after I removed the UMD tray and fit a clear shell with LEDs. 🤣

I know how you feel, I wanna keep it with the OG parts as well, and I may just do that, swap them back into the OG shell.

Screen Flickering is because of a battery is something I have not heard of or experienced before The only thing that comes to mind is either a faulty powerboard or lithium cell or its not being seated fully, and needs something to prop it up to fit snugly. I put a small piece of paper or packaging plastic under the battery to push it up sometimes.

@@TotalKommando right I couldn’t find anything on this anywhere because they are both brand new batteries I use the 1400mah for my 3000 model and they said use the 2200mah on the 1000 model but would not work. only works with the 1400mah which is weird I was thinking either I need a new PCB Board ? Or a motherboard? But idk because it works with the 1400mah battery just not the 2200 Or try to see if they are seated correctly but both sit pretty tight and flush is the thing but I’ll try the paper thing first lol

If you are using non-original parts, it could happen and you could trim the edges to make it sit smoother, if that is not the case, it could be that you need a replacement rubber capacitive dome.

Nope, the later models with that color actually have removable lenses, but rarely come off cleanly because of its age

The intro is part of a custom theme called "clear black / clear" there are a couple with that name, so you have to try them out. The VSH menu is from the best CFW available called ARK-4 that is being updated constantly, its modern, has awesome features, but you need to check compatibility.

@@stevexanny A dummy would mute the tv as well lol, Im going to try and tap onto the headphone jack lines, it should be possible to have use a dummy that way.

- 99.9% Isopropyl Alcohol ( Small Transparent Bottle ) - Contact Cleaner ( Similar in nature to the first one ) - WD-40 Used To Slightly Lubricate ( After light rust trace scratching ) - For The Ultrasonic I used hot tap water for the plastics, and distilled hot water for the PCB with jewelry cleaning solution ( didnt use it for too long in case it causes further damage, wrong liquid, and too long can break things with electronics from what I have read ) Very Basic Stuff lol

@@Hvsky Glad to hear it, it really is, I looked at all the other ones, they are either mild, or extra fake.

The isopropyl would cost more than the console, and it would be a massive waste, I used warm distilled water for the mobo with a ultrasonic jewelry cleaning solution because that's the only option that was available to me. Which when I pulled out and started scrubbing produced the bubbles. After I was done scrubbing, I rinsed it off with contact cleaner and isopropyl. Of course by no means the right way to do it. If you think that was crazy, you haven't seen my coke GPU video, I gave it a bath under direct tap water. Its fine to clean electronics that are not super critical this way, as long as you thoroughly wash away any deposits and dry it off properly.

@@Cryingcastlesofficial It clearly had water damage, the UMD metal frame rusted and somehow it spread across the bottom left half covering the rest of the components, the screen has liquid damage, but its a miracle that nothing on the motherboard corroded.

Dielectric Grease, its what I had used for my mechanical keyboards, but I added a little too much, still experimenting with analog repair. Once I find a repeatable solution I will have a video on it

@@TotalKommando alright. I had tried lubing my old creaky stick, but I noticed the sliding bits were getting stuck on places where the plastic was slightly uneven from wear, and it didn’t help really

In the case of the 1000/2000 it just keeps the time lol ( just a convince thing if you swap batteries a lot ) Its a super capacitor that charges when there is power so its not really a battery In the case of the 3000 if it leaks / dies it can stop the console from booting

@@TotalKommando I've messed around with one and had huge problems with the analog stick. I need to bust them out again and try to get it working. Plus I should learn to solder

The best tip I can give, is get a good quality soldering iron from AliExpress, good quality solder, cheap good flux, and something to practice with, its very easy once you understand why things go wrong when you got a good iron. For many years I destroyed projects because I didnt know what flux was and my iron sucked.

Im working towards a big shells review video, but here is the jist of it so far: I left links in the description btw - PSP 1000 - Clear Shells with Matt finish are great ( Project Smokey & This Blue One ) - PSP 2000 - So far are all not amazing from the ones I tried - PSP 3000 - Clear Shells seem to be good quality ( may need tiny mods ) + MH Edition is Fantastic
