I was watching Bon Appetite and couldn't help but want to make their Pro Chefs Grilled Cheese but VEGAN 🤤🤤
I filmed this video over a week ago to upload last weekend but it didn't feel right or appropriate to upload in the midst of such important work, voices and vital message that need to be shared as for one I feel like they're finally being heard - at least I hope. It is a very confusing and emotional time for a lot of people my heart goes out to those in pain right now. I want to say a huge, huge, huge thank you for the love I have received on my instagram. I thought I loved Violife until my boyfriend introduced me to Applewood vegan cheese as I don't have an Asda nearby. Let me tell you, it's SO smoky and delicious that when we were on the way home from a night out my drunk ass went to the 24h Asda for a loaf of bread and Applewood vegan cheese - don't remember a thing but I enjoyed another grilled vegan cheese the morning after 🤣

This is the kind of content I signed up for. I love grilled cheese sandwiches. Cheese and eggs are the only thing holding me back from being vegan. So it’s cool seeing how much of my favorites I can still enjoy whilst being vegan

I think it's called Just Egg, it's vegan and is liquid so you can make a vegan scramble. Try it out!

i stopped at an asian grocer and they sold vegan fried eggs! they’re made with soy skin (the skin from making soy milk) to get the crispy crust and i added kala namak/black salt (has the exact egg taste, it is incredible) and it tasted exactly like a fried egg! if you google there are other options out there to make vegan egg such as with chickpea flour too! i definitely recommend for the actual egg flavour to get some black salt tho!

Thank you for being so considerate. Sometimes I feel like people may not wany to listen to what I say but with everything happening I've learnt how good it is to speak up. I've been waiting patiently since I saw the premier! I would have never thought to put sauerkraut in a grilled cheese. Looks amazing!

Chao! Which I have made many grilled cheese sandwiches with & Miko vegan cheese are awesome & they melt very well. I have made my vegan mac & cheese using both together 🤗 yummmooo! Even non vegans wanted seconds

After I watched the Bon Appétit video, I bought all the vegan cheeses I could find just to replicate them. I love that Rachel is also a BA fan and posted this because I was also very curious about Carla’s kimchi sandwich and happy I tried it. Rachel is right in that vegan cheeses have come such a long way and I am here for it❣️

hi Rachel ! i have been vegan for a year now and i bought your VEGAN EATS book about 9months ago. i just wanted to thank you SO MUCH for putting out classic wholesome vegan foods. my parents still eat meat and dairy but they love some of your meal alternatives that i cook for them. favourite by far is the spiced chickpeas and aubergines with the tahini sauce! it is DELICIOUS !!!! i haven’t used any recipe book as much as i have used yours ! thank you thank you thank you

There's a penggggg vegan cheese called "applewood vegan smoked cheese" and honestly it is the best, and better than violife in my opinion! I've seen it in Asda but I get mine from The Vegan Kind online supermarket 💕

Try Chao cheese if you can find it. I’m melts really well and I’ve cubed the whole pack before and used it for Mac and cheese because it melts to well.

Delicious recipes!! My favorite vegan cheese is from Earth Island. It's their smoked Gouda, and it's SO GOOD!! It makes amazing grilled cheese sandwiches! I love to put a little pasta sauce in them, when we have leftovers, and make a pizza grilled cheese. So yummy!

Raaaach! We recently reviewed Violife’s new Epic mature cheddar block and it was 🔥🔥🔥 We found it at Whole Foods a few weeks ago, but now there isn’t even a label for it in that spot anymore! 😩😩😩 We also taste tested Miyoko’s new cheeses as well, and the pepper jack was deelish! Great video!! ❤️🌱

applewood smoky cheese! melts amazingly and is so yummy, perfect for a grilled cheese and also works a dream in mac and cheese. its in asda and also waitrose and you can get it online! i had completely given up on finding a vegan cheese i liked until i tried this one

Bon Apetit is the best! I saw that episode and it made me crave grilled cheese so bad! I like to pu tmustard on my grilled cheese and tomato. I also make a "Reuben" style sandwich with Tofurkey deli slices, sauerkraut, and mustard. It's the best!
