I've been living in Miami for 10 years since 2013 and I'm a 32 year old guy. I've done A LOT of dating here, and yes, a lot of dating here can leave you with a lot to be desired and scarred. If Miami is the capital of decadence, then Brickell is the capital of the capital. I'm lucky that I did the best (and biggest chunk) of my dating life around 2015-2018 when Brickell and Wynwood were still sort of in development and everything (the women, the places, the fun times) felt realer. It's almost as if Miami has become a caricature of itself in a short amount of time since the pandemic, and that's saying something. This city has always been known as a shallow and decadent playground but it's unbearable nowadays. These interviews are a mere reflection of what the environment here has bred into existence. If you want to know, I'm tall, athletic, good looking, great job/career, hobbies/passions, live by myself, so getting girls to date me is not a problem. However, every girl I date is how the narrator of "Fight Club" would describe as a copy of a copy. The only reason I love it here is because knowing Spanish and English, my possibilities are way stronger than in many other places, which I've been able to prove, but aside from that, this is a city that is going down the drain culturally and spiritually. And yes, I'm tainted by the city as well, and I'm not afraid to admit it lol I'm just self aware.

@@_munkykok_ I mean, Miami is just way more decadent and low in spiritual value than ever before. There is a lot of money from influencers, artists and business owners that moved their operations here. Prices have soared (partly as a result of this). Women have therefore a skew perception of what the average man can earn and reject the guy making 50K a year thinking that men making 200K a year (or more) are the common denominator, which even in Miami, that's not the case. You could argue, there are many of them concentrated in areas like Brickell, but still, not the common denominator. People are also very image driven because here, nobody cares about the truth when the lie is more entertaining. There are guys buying T-Shirts that have designer names on them (Balmain, Givenchy, Burberry), have sneakers worth one grand, a new Mercedes, but yet, don't even have 100 bucks in their bank accounts at any given time and can't even afford to have dinner with the girls they are trying to impress. The richest person I met in Miami was so over wearing expensive stuff that all he wore was white tees, no brand shorts and sandals. No watch, no nothing. To expand on dating and hookup culture, the current economy in Miami (but really the whole US) basically pushes men and women to exaggerate the attributes they think will be appealing to each other. Women get BBLs and face lifts all the time. Men buy (as I said before) expensive things at the risk of their true financial backbone. Both men and women end up hooking up under this narrative. In the event that the average hot girl hooks up with a guy with "legitimate high value", he discards her and she will have resentment towards the "lower value guys" that will hit on her moving forward. If this same girl hooks up with a fake high value guy, he will also discard her because he can get away with fooling more women. Women will think men are trash that don't want to settle, but when they finally meet the safe guy who wants to settle, they will be internally conflicted that he is not the "high value" type that even though discarded them, was more elusive and attractive on a primal level. This scenario is not only applicable to Miami, as it is very universal, but here, it has reached very very very toxic levels. Family, spiritual and life affirming values are on the decline. Most of what you find here seeks to impress, is mostly fake and fades away quickly because of lack of substance. I personally think it won't change and will get worse.
