Agreed, that car though amazing in concept has me with a sour taste in my mouth. It should have been 350-400k not over 700k. I dont know about the rest of the audience but i am not a kid i would hate to see him paying over 700k for the first v12 lambo that has a lot of depreciation room
My husband passed away recently and one of his favorite channels was yours and I do like watching your show as well so I'm going to continue watching you for him he loved cars and look how fast I can say that all the time it was hilarious. Thanks for being entertaining
Sweetest comment ever! You husband had an awesome taste in RU-vid entertainment! Stradman is so genuine and humble! He makes people happy even when people are going through a hard time. 🩵 hoping your husband is watching the Stradman in heaven! 🙏🏼
Hey strad, I’m a technician and seeing that you have a shortage of tools issue I just want to give you some advice as i just did it myself. Go to harbor freight and get a 42” or 56” us general box and buy a quinn master socket set and various pliers and wrenches. Get universal joint sockets and universal joints they come in handy a lot. You can also get some really nice light pods and light sticks/flashlights there for really good prices. You also get lifetime warranty on 90% of their stuff. For a 42” us general box fully loaded it cost me about little over 2600$ after tax.
Hopefully he doesn’t live the nightmare I did. I doubt he will but I was gonna buy a 1995 McLaren F1. Just like Jay Leno said, they really weren’t selling so I finally decided to get it. My wife wasn’t happy. I went down to the dealership and started the paperwork. Low and behold, they wanted an enormous amount of money for it😢. I was devastated but I took the bus down to the dirty car dealership part of town and walked out of “Crazy Eddies Car-O-Rama with a sweet 1979 Ford Pinto. So whose laughing now??? She still purrs like a kitten🤔🤔
You did the right thing by cancelling , spending 700k (pre tax ig) and not having the dream spec wuda been a lifetime regret. Here's to hoping you'll make the dream spec revuelto soon .
Totally agree. Spending that crazy amount of money and the car not being your dream spec would be a bad decision. Glad he made the decision to cancel it and possibly get a dream spec later on.
Man I was so excited to see you taking delivery of the first ever brand new v12 on the channel. But respect your decision man, no-one would spend that much money on the car without their dream spec! Like always, we respect you for your honesty and being open about everything! Can't wait to see you getting one down the line, and maybe someday revive the purple army man it's been long!!🔥
Smart choice! Personally I’d love to see more house content. I’m super excited to see the car on the wall, the bat cave, the back yard, the furnishing, etc! We love the cars but we also love you and your goals and love seeing your progress
Stradman, buy an impact wrench for removal of those bolts like the steering wheel one! Impact will get it out much more cleanly than marring it like a manual wrench. The Milwaukee m18 stubby is great Model # 2855-20
The Ferrari DIY repair is the best project I've seen you take up. Also don't worry about the Revuelto, you're gonna end up with one sooner or later. Great decision making is what has made your channel what it is today. I'm so happy to see your channel evolve while you stay the same old Strad we know and love. Keep it up!
That’s why I love him, he could push as well passing above this matter but is not from him, he decided he want a car as he wishes, and I simply love the genuinity.
A lot of people have mentioned Mat Armstrong. I believe the reason why anyone in the UK can order the parts is because of the UK/EU laws pertaining to "right to repair"
@@tmoneysims he bought that because Rolls-Royce don’t sell the parts he can get Lamborghini parts and every other car parts depends on the manufacturer
@@mikefinsterbush2591 Go ahead and try to buy an Airbag/frame pieces at a dealership your choice and then come back to tell me youre wrong ive worked at several dealerships and all are like that.
Super cool to see Cuts come in clutch with the sponsor this video. I’ve been buying from them for years (whenever I can, that is) and their clothing is phenomenal. Glad to see other people using them, as well as the brand getting their name more public.
Tbh makes sense to cancel the order when it's not what you wanted plus they didn't do what they said they would, so spec it the way you want man do what you gotta do
Yo James you gotta get with “obsessed garage” to build your shop garage Also it’s helpful to bag and tag every bolt and screw that you remove as well at record everything so you can watch it back Love the content bro And wait for the next upload
hi James, Tomorrow i will do a school presentation about a person i admire. i chose you Strad, i am really scared to talk infront of my class. i've now been at that school for 3 years and never done a presentation infront of my class, i've only been alone with my teacher in a room that no-one hears me in. i promise that i will do it James , i'll do it for you. Please wish me luck🙏🙏🥺 Thanks For all the suport, thx to all the suporters i did it, it when't so well too! THANK YOU EVERYONE🥳🥳
i mean he's bought an indycar with the intention of being mounted on the wall, maybe the donor gallardo could also be mounted!! would be a shame for such a beautiful body to go to waste.
@@gangtaco aware of the Indy car, but there is nothing about that car that fits his personality, his story, or really anything. The Gallardo, however…what a fitting tribute to the car that started his dream! That car in so many ways is a perfect symbol for all James has achieved and accomplished. It led to the house existing…it rightly deserves a place on that wall.
from james to james good job working on a car by yourself this is super cool to see you learning your car like how we do with out “beater” builds and to see you go through the same things with a whole Ferrari 😭
I think all of us in the US are just dismayed by the turn of events. We were explicitly promised the first cars. I do have some info on what may have happened but still, this is a disappointment. At any rate, James, let's collab when my car arrives--supposedly in the next month or so. **fingers crossed*
@@xualarenthlei3704What are you yapping about. He literally offered to make a vid with James once he gets his revuelto. Doctam3 is one of the Lambo OGs on youtube
When you pull this build of James it's gone be soo Cool ! And the knowledge you get from doing it gone take any Fear away to work on any of your super cars again 👌 I really like that you ate doing this 😀
I was told by someone I know who has a Revuelto on order (that did the pre order in New York) that they arent being delivered to the US until dealers get demo cars in. His car is built, but they won't ship it until the dealers get theirs, and its looking like it will be around July.
Totally understand your thought process James. Obviously we are all sad we won’t be seeing any Revuelto content by our favorite Lamborghini guy but in the end it shows that you are staying true to yourself which I find even better!
idk how he does it, keeping us constantly entertained each video even when its not a big "car reveal" still one of the few yt i can fully watch the video through, sometimes even the ads lmao
Honestly Strad no sweat! i think you made right decision, yes with as you said doing social media fast and getting it first is bar none but, end of the day boils down to you after all you would've had to / did sacrifice your dream spec at the cost of 700+K. Not worth it! if a revuelto was coming to the channel id rather view it through your vision if that makes sense because what i love about your channel is your so genuine with us and seeing you hyped hypes me as I'm sure it hypes all of us. great call and hope maybe just maybe Lamborghini will give you a shot at being able to spec one or as you said another opportunity presents itself that you love because bar none makes for best content!. Cant wait to see what else comes, still amazing to see how far you've made it from back when i first started watching. You definitely still need a Diablo in the collection 🙌
that is the greatest explanation of cancelling that I could have wanted, and I completely understand it because I've never seen that pink and I love purple but for something you were supposed to get but didn't, that purple is just nowhere close to where that pink color is at. love your vids and respect your choice 1000% :)
Lived this video. The voiceovers youve been doing have been great, canceling was a good choice, the nitty gritty on the Ferrari has been fun (Ive always been a HUGE fan of Tavarish). Great job James
You need to find a Ferrari-certified shop that is willing to sell you the parts. Ferrari ASM certification is one of the hardest to obtain, it is only given out to techs who have been to Maranello in person to learn the complications of replacing frame rails on a Ferrari. Also, you would want to find a shop to help you order parts anyway or those parts costs will be sky-high, shops with good connections can get up to 50% off of parts, and most can get 20%-30%. And on cars like this, there are multiple clips and small items that are one-time use only, you need a shop with all the manuals to help you find out which ones are, or you could end up with a rattle drum of a car
These were my exact thoughts when you revealed your spec (that a lot of people will have that same spec) and that you won't be fully satisfied considering that you didn't get to spec it yourself. 700,000 is a huge amount for something like this, and I'm glad that you cancelled it, and I'm sure that you'll get your dream spec soon. Also, the viola bast is absolutely gorgeous.
JAMES! How to fix the car without nudging a dealship to smuggle you some parts; 1. OEM spec out the window 2. work with engineer content creator to redesign/recreate the frame rails and damaged parts - Potential to make custom bodykit or extend the body. You could dod anything pretty much, especially since 3d printing has been making things a lot easier 3. tally up a budget of the OEM build done by Ferrari, vs. custom build - including marketing possibilities such as sponssorships or mech sales 4. decide and pursue a rebuild, or sell it and recoup as much as possible - that's what I would do from a RU-vid Business perspective
Dude I completely respect your decision on the reveulto, a guy I know here in Perth got an early allocation spot and it has been delayed a total of 4 times and now is said to be coming in 7 months! But what do you think you’ll do with the money? Maybe a Porsche gt car and a mclaren you don’t have any of them.
NGL that’s one smart move with the cancel. Why pay that amount and not get your dream spec? Mad respect for your detail explanation and setting the record straight with your viewers. This means you actually care what your viewers think about you and your content. Like you said, that was an easy decision. Can’t wait to see what you going to do with that freed up money. 👍👍 keep up the great work with your projects.
James , I love the way you’ve been doing the videos recently with the voice overs . I’ve been watching you since car spotting years ago and this is one of my favorite additions to the vlogs . Thanks for always entertaining us keep up the amazing work and have a blessed day .
TheStradman Great Video I'm glad you managed to remove your Absolutely Gorgeous 812 Superfast's Dash and I can't wait to see more progress on it and I definitely understand why you canceled your Revuelto
Does anyone comment on the actual video anymore or just bots glazing every video? "His attitude is infectious "🧏🏾♂️ anytime I open a Stradman video. "Is that person on crack"? Is he on Adderall? Were here for the cars. Not baby voice talking to the dog
@@lucawiersema what did that comment have to do anything with the video? That's different from the rest? Wouldn't know cause yall comment how proud yall are instead of anything else lmao
@@MrSeanman30 why does it matter dawg😭 like smart move on him for canceling the revuelto and saving almost a million dollars w tax and everything but again ive been watching for almost a decade and im happy for Strad💀💀
100% understand why you cancelled. Simply put, they broke their word. So you break the sale. $725k has so many better options to offer than the Revuelto does.
Hey strad I am big fan just a small concern if u have seen the flood in Dubai and some other parts of the world u see so many cars being a Destroyed and because we love u,ur content and the cars we care we don't actually know if the rain will coming towards ur continent but try to act quick coz u will never know what happens keep up the good work ur father would be proud of u
Cancelling was genuinely the smartest decision on this channel so far. The second the dream spec was showed already delivered it was obvious that cancelling was the right choice. Looking forward to seeing where the $700k goes instead
Hey James!! Great work!! Just a suggestion. The bit you just used for the steering wheel is called a torx bit.. it’s similar to a hex bit but it’s got little grooves on it that’ll prevent your bolt from getting chewed up. Hope this could help.
please do a collab with matt armstrong im sure he might be able to get some of the parts from here in the uk and bring them over on the plane like he did with the adam lz porsche. Either way looking forward to the build good luck mate remember it's only car , a very expensive car but in stradman we trust lol
Hey James. OG follower here, just want to say I love your content and with that being said. You don’t ever have to apologize for what you decide to do with your money that you work hard for.. I think canceling that order was a great idea. That’s a lot of money for a car that isn’t your dream spec. Keep up the great work and look forward to what’s next 🤙🏽
Strad, get yourself a pop filter for your off-camera voiceover mic. Super cheap and will up your video's production quality while minimizing voiceover splosives (p's, t's, k's etc).
I would have done the same thing… I am not spending any type of money if I’m not fully 100% satisfied!! It’s hard earned money, and if you spend it on something that you’re not 100% sure you want, then you just end up regretting it and you don’t feel your money was well spent! Good job for not caving under pressure to provide content for others when your not fully satisfied!! 🤛🏾
@@TheStradman Hi james, i love your videos and your house, also i am moving to Utah someday, also what are your thoughts on 2013 Toyota 86Gt? also i want to become an automotive RU-vidr too
You should take each part you take off and # it in a baggie with screws, and then each time something comes off put it into your computer or notes and reverse it when you put it back together with the baggie #’s associated with the parts
Oh but you don't know that he can recover the cost of a whole 812 from like 10 videos of the repairs 😂 also this was needed as the content was getting repetitive for new viewers. Not for Ogs like us
Side note, a collab with Mat Armstrong or Freddy (Tavarish) would be epic. I’m sure some scheduling could be accomplished if you fly them out/ put them up. Worth a shot! ❤
It honestly makes sense the decision you made. I also understand getting caught up in the moment and the fact that you are a car influencer so you wanted to get your hands on it quicker than everyone else. If you weren't a RU-vidr I'm sure you would have been much more willing to wait the couple more years to get the dream spec. But oh well you made the best decision and you'll have another chance to get one soon I imagine.
Since you’re working on your 812 and you don’t have a lot of tools. I’d recommend a good tool set. Now I know you’re capable of affording snap on tool but Tekton tools offers a great bundle set that includes tools and tool boxes. Also Teng tools offers a similar bundle set but is a little more expensive. Just a little advice coming from a heavy equipment mechanic. Love the videos!
