@@Cartierelii same. It took me years to get to only season 2 of the original cause I kept taking breaks from it. But with TVD, I always wanted to binge watch it & watch every episode. Years later I’m not trying to rewatch the originals from the beginning to give it a fair chance & try to finish it, I watched episode 1 of season 1 about 3 months ago & haven’t touched the show since. It’s just not for me. Idk 🤷‍♂️ what it is either, like it’s not bad but it’s just … idk

This explanation is so stupid. Not you. But the fact that the writers couldn't think up anything better to launch a spin-off than a baby by a vampire. Dead is dead. Turning has never brought anyone back from the dead but somehow it brought Klaus' genitals back from the dead. Its so silly.

See no this is wrong some of y’all really don’t pay attention 😂 klaus turned BEFORE he triggered his werewolf gene yes he was born with it but to trigger it he has to kill someone which he did AFTER he turned so some part of him came back to life when it was triggered and THEN his mother suppresses his werewolf side but that doesn’t mean he went back to being dead it just meant he couldn’t use his werewolf powers then in season two he broke Esters spell. Other hybrids can’t procreate bc they triggered their gene BEFORE they turned so every part of them is dead. Understand?

Being a werewolf and triggering the curse doesn't come with resucitation powers; if you have watched the show you know very well what happens to a HYBRID when vampirism gets taken away... Vampirism is what's keeping him "alive" or undead would be more accurate This fact doesn't take away anything from Klaus, his arc or even really the writers... But it is a bending of their pre stablished canon... That's just a fact... And they use the "it's a loophole" reasoning in order to give themselves and us a pass in order to make it happen... But there is no need to bend over backwards; the magic that makes them werewolves doesn't have that kind of power, saying that Klaus "came a little bit back to life" it's just plain untrue... Either you are alive or you are dead or "undead"; there aren't different shades of dead... Klaus is dead, all vampires are... They wanted to go ahead with this story arc for him, so they made it happen and said, EXPLICITLY SAID, their magic words they use when something bends canon: "It's one of natures loopholes"... I don't see how you can say that this isn't the case; once again, doesn't mean is the end of the world, that is bad or that I dislike it; but it's a fact, it is 100% a departure from the stablished canon and the common sense world mechanics that they stablished... They've done this many other times, this is just one of their most successful and appreciated ones

Vampirism has those capabilities because it is a version of the immortality spell... the werewolves don't have that, that's not how their spell works There ain't no need to take it that seriously, unless you happen to be one of the writers of the show 🤣... They bended their own canon and the in-story explanation just doesn't fully work with the world mechanics that they themselves set up; that's why they use the GET OUT OF JAIL FREE CARD of: "IT's a loophole", something they use when the explanation doesn't quite add up SPOILLERRSS SPOILERRSS Klaus' kid being able to procreate is: FIRST) an extension of the loophole that they already created in their own canon, so it is pretty easy to just extend it when they already broke canon before... SECOND) it is mostly talked about WHEN SHE WAS STILL ALIVE; the question of whether or not she could ACTUALLY have kids now that she is dead was left in the air, given that the show ended Hayley saying that "they can try again", doesn't prove or confirm ANYTHING... We already know that Klaus is capable of procreating... Once again, they already set the precedent so using further confirmations of the SAME set precedent doesn't mean anything

1. Caroline runs to Damon everytime she has a problem. Her issue with Damon has been written to just her not liking him for Elena? 2. Elena isn't a good friend? Are you kidding? How many times has Elena saved Caroline and forgiven her? 3. Caroline is there pining for Klaus but you want to judge Elena for Damon? Someone who has actually done good things for Caroline?

When does Caroline run to Damon with a problem? I don't think that's happened ever, if it doesn't concern him in some way too. 2. There are many things they should've held Elena responsible for but didn't. They also worked together to save her countless times. Maybe it's overgeneralizing to say Elena isn't a good friend to her (she does have her selfless moments) but it still stands that a best friend should at least have a talk with a girl if she's in love with the guy who compelled her, used her as a blood bag, had sex with her, wiped her mind over and over--in Julie's words, he "used and abused" her. How does everyone just gloss over that? In addition to that, he was going to kill her, had Stefan not stepped in. 3. I don't think you can compare the two for this. Sure, both of them did terrible things. Klaus more so than Damon, most likely. I'm not arguing that. But relevant to this conversation: Klaus used Elena's blood, sure. It's not like Caroline pursued anything real with him, and stood by the fact that she didn't want him in her life. Damon, though, did all of that crap and got off scot-free. I think it's not unfathomable that Caroline would dislike him. Also, I don't know about Damon 'doing good things for Caroline'. If that's the case, then she's done good things for him too. Still doesn't negate what he did to her in S1. And personally, the only thing I wanted regarding all that was a conversation or apology, or something. They're both around each other so much, I wish they would've at least addressed it. But then again, that's just me. However the main point is, I don't think Caroline is in the wrong for disliking Damon. She has clear reason. Why would she want that guy for best friend? Still, she does end up accepting him, which was a nice development in their relationship.

@@emma8309 I've always found the comparison about Elena and Damon's relationship with Caroline and Klaus' just so incredible short sighted in order to give themselves some basis to defend the Delena relationship from RIGHTFUL AND EARNED criticism... None of what Caroline says about Damon is usually incorrect or a slander; she is right... And to try and pretend that Caroline acted in the same way that Elena did when it comes to dating a terrible person that somehow is in their lives is just crazy... Like you said, Caroline never forgive and forget what Klaus is, never give him passes for his actions and more importantly: never actually rationalized A WHOLE RELATIONSHIP with him, where she would "force" her family and friends, who hate Klaus, to not only endure but pretend to like his company because he is now with Caroline Like you said, the most telling part that shows that Caroline has very good reasons to remain not only mad, but also to speak her mind about it (other than all the specifics of the abuse); it's the fact that Damon HAS NEVER show himself to be apologetic or remorseful about what he did to Caroline... We are 5 seasons in and not even an apology or even a hint that show Caroline OR EVEN US that he thinks what he did to Caroline is wrong... In fact, it's all the contrary: he thinks that what he did to Caroline, and Andy, and other girls, it's just what he does, is par for the course, no big deal because he is a vampire and that's what they do To me it has always been pretty clear... Caroline's anger towards Damon is not only UNDERSTANDABLE but also necessary, for her character and the story... And Caroline's open criticism towards Damon and the Delena relationship is, once again, WARRANTED and necessary for the story... The writers use her character, given her character's traits, to voice the complains, criticism and shortcomings that the viewers, the actors and the writers themselves know are present in their relationship... What's Caroline MAIN criticism for Elena dating Damon? Damon corrupting Elena and Elena being too willing and blinded to let Damon actions slide, to make excuses for him, or worse, to start thinking like him and actually behaving as if Damon's actions are ok... Well, IS SHE WRONG? 🤣... Guess what? SHE ISN'T... And I don't want to go into spoiler, but the next seasons showcase that even more prominently that the previous ones; even going so far as to spilling out the exact words of these criticism straight from the mouth of the source.

I love Davina. She was one of my favorite parts of The Originals & Kol obviously

And even if it revolved around Klaus, it would have been much better than Elena because Klaus is a much more intriguing character than Elena ever was. TO did not have a convoluted mess at all, it was TVD after The Originals left, you moron. Remember the trash storylines of the Travelers, then whatever the fuck S7 was when they had no idea what to do more? At least TO never strayed from the main plot of Hope. That was consistent throughout. And a much more mature storytelling in TO was much much better than the edgy love story in TVD where Damon's whole arc circles around a girl. Don't be this deluded.
