the disarming thing about Karl Pilkington is just how quickly he switches between actually having something of a point and mind-bafflingly, earth-shatteringly stupid. It's completely unpredictable
The same thing was happening to me today on the bus! 😂 but I was listening to season 3 ep 1 of the podcast where he wouldn’t stop talking about insects and he wrote about them in his diary hahaha
I’m dying 🤣 The manhole cover story is my favorite because it’s true and kind of interesting but way better the way Karl tells it. Real story was the US doing nuclear testing underground drilled a long shaft, placed a nuclear bomb at the bottom then capped the hole with tons of concrete down the shaft and put a manhole cover on top basically just so no one would fall in and the manhole cover flew off at something like 20 times the speed of sound and was never found leading to speculation that it actually could have been sent into orbit which would technically have been the first man made object in orbit if they could prove it 🤣
@@Happy_Shopper Honestly I wouldn't have a word of it either but that damn manhole cover went 130,000mph and I'll be found dead under a bridge if that's not fast.
An infinite amount of monkeys with an infinite amount of typewriters would eventually type the very best of Karl Pilkington funniest stories and theories.
You know Karl's spitting facts when he ends his claim with "n' that". 15:45 they've found kids walking about all hairy because errr they've sort of grew up with wolves 'n that.
I love the whole bit about the monkeys typing up Shakespeare. At the end Karl: “but do they know the story?” Steven: (exasperatingly) “they’re monkeys!”
@@spridleall the early XFM recordings are lost. This is the days where not everything was stored digitally and indefinitely. The episodes where Karl just works the "buttons", he doesn't speak. Karl is funny, but it really is unscripted. It's just how Karl is.
