I think this is a good one because it was a major psychological trauma as much as it was a physical trauma. If they ever do a follow-up to this video, Maul might be worth including in the lineup.
Rip David Prowse. He all made our childhoods just a little better every time he captured the amazing character of Darth Vader on the big screen. The star wars Community keeps losing so many legends and it is sad, R.I.P.
I met the guy at a convention when I was like 6, he was awesome. I later found out that my grandmother once danced with him years before, were from the same area. So sad to hear hes gone
@@Gazname "Join Me, and together we could RULE the dance floor!" But in all seriousness, that's awesome you got to meet the man behind the most iconic bad guy in all of Fiction. I hoped he lived an amazing 85 years, and that his legacy will live on forever. R.I.P
I know it's a long time ago in far far away galaxy, but I can't believe they haven't perfected skin grafts. Even in our past on this planet didn't they have skin grafts when George was making the start wars movies?
In my headcanon, Boba died in such an embarrassing way in ROTJ because he was drunk. It's not like you'd take the weekend off at Jabba's palace to stay sober.
My favorite Star Wars injury is when obi-wan kicks Grievous in the shin and then realizes he is an armored cyborg Edit: I’ve never got more than 10 likes on a comment so I appreciate the support :)
My favorite is the clone who lost his gun and immediately decided to punch a droid. It broke his hand and he was shot, so it didn't work out but man would he have been a real badass if it did.
If you ask me, Darth Sion had the worst injuries in Star Wars. He was a sith lord around 4000 bby who was injured so badly that he harnessed the pain he felt to fuel his powers. He held his body together with the force such that he was virtually unkillable. Also his moniker was the Lord of Pain so that might bias me a little.
@@derpoltergeist8265 Or maybe she had force visions which she confused for memories. (That's my preferred explanation, because that actually *adds* to the original scene rather than detract from it.)
@@derpoltergeist8265 maybe not even psychological, we know leia was force sensitive, she could of had visions for her mother through the force and not even realized it
For emotional scars I’d suggest Darth Maul, the dude spent like 30 years furious with Obi Wan and scheming to kill him, also the guy had to live with spider legs for a decade which must have been pretty grim
Well lots of injuries are to be expected considering that no one in the Star Wars universe can read. Can't even put up signs saying "don't stand near the lava" cos no one can read that shit
@@justnoah2073 there’s this theory that everyone in Star Wars is illiterate and only droids know how to read. It stems from the fact that none of the buttons or switches are labeled in any Star Wars media
In one of the new novels, it's mentioned that Darth Vader is in constant pain, and while he can use the Dark Side of the Force to mask the pain, the sense of relief he feels causes him to lose his anger, sending the pain flooding back.
@@xTBoyTx still amazed that James did not match the picture that I had for him in my head for listening to him for years, he has the voice for radio, but the face of a billion dollar movie franchise!
Wasn't Darth Sion pretty much something to the effect of a mutilated corpse held together by mommy issues(and the dark side)? Or something like that? edit: grammar
I remember the red letter media guys reading about Darth Vaders suit and how the surgeons decided to cheap out on the parts ahah. They like made it shiny to distract from the fact it was cheap. I don't know how cannon that was but I love it.
Ben are you okay? We’re all here for you. James please check in on our boy and make sure he’s doing fine. Give him some time off if he needs it. He seems a bit burnt out.
The Hoth Yetti (to lazy to google) Robot chicken had a great sketch of it adjusting to life and struggling at a petrol station while Luke awkwardly tries to get past unnoticed. Great gag and serious physical and emotional trauma to be found in abundance 😂
I did expect the Emperor to be on here. I mean he fell threw the shaft of the Death Star before it exploded while being hit by his own lighting and survived with missing fingers and hooked up to a giant crane
My favorite theory is that Good Ol’ Palpy was draining her life force and feeding it into Vader to save him through the force. Because he no longer needed her around because he had already gained his prize apprentice, and she could be seen as a threat to maybe saving Anakin. How else would he know that she was in fact dead prior to her funeral. Obiwan and Palme were long gone before palpy showed up
What if Padmé didn’t die of a broken heart, but rather the Emperor used her as a conduit to drain the life from to keep Vader alive? I think it bloody adds up!
Carrie Fisher's real mom died the day after Carrie died. So yeah, dying of a broken heart can actually happen. The fact that both Padme and Debbie died from heartbreak is crazy weird
Grievous' origin story is actually a lot more tragic. If I remember correctly, he was fighting to keep his planet free from Speratist control, so the Separatists shot down his ship, forcing him to crash and nearly die. Then, they took what was left of him, put it in a cyborg body, and wiped his memories. Also, after Grievous was part of the Separatist army, he demanded that they not alter him any further, but they did anyway.
My favorite Star Wars injury is when obi-wan kicks Grievous in the shin and then realizes he is an armored cyborg Edit: I’ve never got more than 10 likes on a comment so I appreciate the support :)
Some glaring omissions here. Maul got cut in half! How about Revan getting his mind wiped as far as invisible scars? I would think there is also some emotional trauma Boba Fett experienced when he saw Jango Fett get beheaded. As always though, great video!
Actually, I remember reading that Boba Fett managed to fight his way out of the Sarlaac, but it had dissaolved his armour, and he was basically naked and covered in chemical burns. He managed to get back to civilisation on his own and got patched up.
Wookiepedia doesn't conclusively say that. It actually says that it's quite likely they are meant to be the same person, considering that they're both from Corellia, and that dengar is supposed to have undergone extreme surgeries that made him unrecognisable.
@@MrBobthened that's fair. I was just kind of under the assumption that it would explicitly say that it was dengar if it was. But I guess that they can just assume they are the same with the facts provided if Disney hasn't confirmed it.
Me at the end of the video: Yeah... good video as always, I love it when they do Star Wars... Maso: MAYBE IT’S 2019! HOW’D YOU DO IT?! Me: Best video ever mate
Darth Sion from Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 is easily the most injured character in Star Wars. He was struck down by a lightsaber but was so hateful and angry he held his decaying body together through The Force for years. It took someone who was a walking wound in The Force to eventually be able to kill him. Also KOTOR is the best Star Wars media since Empire Strikes Back
"Where am I to get a clone leg?" Thinks Boba Fett, a person who is himself a clone and who he knows there still exists thousands of clones of himself (most of whom he is not particularly fond of) from which he could hunt down and nip a leg from. Transplants too. Although, maybe different guys. Chop off his leg one day and 5 years later, after all the rehab and hard work... you come for his liver.
Editor: I don’t really care much for a Star Wars… But I will make a compilation of every time Anakin Skywalker gets electrocuted in various forms of Star Wars media.
It's even worse for Grievous because the Kaleesh place high importance on their organic bodies and being a cyborg is basically like a disgrace to them. On he bright side they're ancestor worshippers and he is venerated as basically a demi-god because of his skill, prowess, and dedication to his people
