Can we all take a second to appreciate Alpha's genius?! She brought a baby to her first encounter with new enemies to use it as a shield and to test her opponent's will. She infiltrated a settlement and captured a handful of people who she then murdered and used their heads to mark her territory. She captured a group for the sole purpose of showing off her horde, as an insurance policy against retaliation for the mass decapitation I mentioned before. She sent a spy into Alexandria to not just get information, but cause paranoia, fuck with their water supply(which weakened them) and most importantly, DIG A GODDAMNED TUNNEL SHE COULD USE WHENEVER SHE WANTED. She cultivated a horde of thousands of Walkers, hiding them in a mine of all places. She also set a trap for in case her enemies got the smart idea of trying to eliminate her nuclear weapon. She's trapped Hilltop's only fighters between her horde of Walkers and a wall of fire, using only what nature has gifted her. Let's not forget that she also allowed survivors to cross her border 3 times, just so she could use this information to leverage expanding her territory, which is probably how she was able to tunnel into Alexandria from the outside and gain more Walkers for her horde. Alpha is a military genius, her cult of Whisperer's may be terrible at hand to hand combat, but their power lies in their ability to use their surroundings to maximum benefit, because they don't need to fear the dead. I loved The Saviors, but lack of personal hygiene aside , I think I could be swayed to join The Whisperers LOL

Favorite episode this season. Daryl has come a long way

This episode made me lose it. It was such an amazing reminder of how terrifying negan was as a villain. Like everyone constantly disrespects him while he was in prison and stuff, and he was complacent with it because he wanted to integrate, but its such a, "ill remind you why you should show respect" kinda moment that I super loved

The tree sap was most likely Turpentine which usually comes from pine trees. That is why Jerry said that it smelled like a Christmas Tree. I had heard my parents talk about turpentine when I was a kid, but I didn't know that it came from trees until a few years ago.

It's absurd how similar this episode is to the Battle of Winterfell. The haunting song played over brief shots of each character, the less than stellar battle tactics, only thing missing is pitch darkness.
