@@NickP You have a great weekend, as well! It´s so great watching everything you made for us who love great movies and this is so great watching and almost being part of those filming locations. Keep up the good work!
Finding the original architecture, as like in the second to last clip with that door way!! It’s gotta be like finding a needle in a hay stack sometimes with all the modern changes. Always entertaining, educational and exceptionally fun to watch. Thank you 🤘
Always great to hear from Mickey Nixon Films!!! It is exactly like that at times haha and I love it.. When I find them on my own it’s very satisfying. I’m proud of what I have cooking for The Wanderers “Coming Soon” I actually impressed myself on that future project. You’re the man, looking forward to your next work of art! Thanks a lot!!
I can't express how much love I have for this film. I first discovered The Warriors as a kid when I saw a VHS copy for sale at a Longs Drug store. The cover really caught my attention. Then when I actually watched it I became even more fascinated with it. But of course this was before it became the cult classic that it is today. A lot of people, including my family, didn't understand why I was so into this movie. But then again I couldn't understand why so many people were into the Rocky Horror Picture Show. The Warriors is a timeless classic that still holds up today. Nick P great job putting together these filming locations for The Warriors. I can tell that you have put a lot of time and effort into this as you do with all of your filming location videos. Nick P your videos are absolutely fascinating. That is because YOU are a fascinating man.
Thanks a lot Nathanial that means a lot coming from you!.. btw As big of a fan of Tim Curry as I am, I couldn’t agree more about The Rocky Horror Picture Show LoL. Of course, I get the point too. All the best!
wow this was amazing thank you so much for putting all this together great detail first watched this film in 81 watched it hundreds of times over the years so alot of the places you showed i recognised from the movie and even said out loud wat was happening in the scene lol
Great footage my man. Saw The Warriors movie in 1983 on VHS at a friend's house with a bunch of friends after a K-mart work softball game. Have seen it many, many times after and never.get tired of it. Thank you my man!!
Been waiting on this part great location then and now cool how they made that one spot look like farther a part gremlins critters labryth would be interesting locations to me
This is incredible Nick, what a great job!!!! Very interesting when you see it during the day and then being filmed at night, so different. Thanks aagain
Thanks for your efforts on this. Looks like a lot of work and passion went into this. Best filming location project for my favorite movie growing up and one of the best action/suspense concepts ever.
That would be something lol. A guy I know on here visited some and also interviewed stars from the film in this video here. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mWxwy1mFqDw.html
@@NickP as you can see I'm a Brit and have a general idea of were some may be ! But to be honest it's amazing how you do it the time the research etc! fair play to you but it must be enjoyable 👍I remember this film I'm 48 so was young when filmed.
One thing I never I understood is why the scene outside the 96th street station with the Furies is so obviously 72nd and Broadway. You can see Broadway and Amsterdam crossing and the chase go west onto 71st street. The Apple Bank building is pretty clear in the background with the big windows. Plus you can see Gray’s Papaya on the SE corner of 72nd
Agreed. They liked the appearance of the 72nd street station.. I guess it was changed in the movie for the relation between riverside park to 96th street. However, almost no location is what it seems in this movie, so why bother with that continuity? Lol. It is odd.
Thank you for the Filming It was so interesting to see what it like now then 20 yrs ago! Is there any chance could you do the part 6 on the ending scene when the Warriors return to Coney Island?
Movie mistake or movie magic.... those park benches bolted in with cement and wood 🪵 were unmovable... he’s able to drag it easily in the scene... not in the real world back then🤔🤫
That was AWESOME my friend!! Classic scenes from a classic movie and as usually the locations were spot on!! Great job and of course we will be waiting patiently for part 6!!! :)
These videos are amazing! Ajax was a great character. First watched this movie around 87 when I was 8 yrs old and its been near and dear to me ever since. Can't count how many times I've watched it .
Great to hear you are enjoying the videos! It’s a special cult movie for sure.. The intention and obstacles are basic but at the same time brilliant. The characters sell it so well and make a fun watch, over and over. They could never make this movie right today. It was perfect for its time and makes for great entertainment every time I rewatch. Thanks a lot!
GOOD NIGHT, MY NAME IS EDUARDO SANTOS AND I'M FROM BRAZIL AND I REALLY LIKE YOUR VIDEOS!!! PLEASE SHOW LOCATIONS FOR THE MOVIE STREETS OF FIRE WITH MICHAEL PARE, RICK MORANES. THANKS!

Grazie per il tuo impegno...i video sono veramente belli e descritti benissimo...mi emozionano i tuoi video perchè adoro il film dei Warriors. Saluti dall'Italia 🙋🏻♂️🇮🇹🇺🇸
Not sure if anybody knows this or not but there’s a comic that continues on with the Warriors and the group had teamed up with the Ruffs to break Ajax out of jail along with other members as well
I WAS 14 WHEN IT CAME OUT..AJ, ALTHOUGH ARRESTED, WAS MOST LIKELY REUITED WITH THE GANG, SIMPLY BECAUSE THE CHARGE WAS MINIMAL AND HE WOULD HAVE BEEN OUT IN DUE TIME..
Hey Nick! Did you find the house raid film location for Point Break 1991? I have been looking around Redondo Beach and laguna nigel as somebody told you but I didn't find it. I have been also looking for the other two bank robbery scenes and Bodhi´s beach house. Any hints? Good Job Man!!!
That's so funny because I was really trying to.. Unfortunately, I think they tore down that house and rebuilt the area but I'm not 100% yet. If I hear anything I'll be sure to let you know.
This has been a good series of videos. Great picture quality and the comparison shots have been spot on, so I applaud you for that. In this video however, one of the locations is wrong. I totally understand why you think the Lizzies location is at w49th, being that it looks almost identical and it makes geographical sense with the escape scene being shot around the corner on the next street. We at Warriorsmovie.co.uk website thought exactly the same as you for quite some time (I even put out a guide on my facebook warriors page with this wrong location, so I'm guilty of this as well). Around 2 years ago, 1 of the Furies Revenge members did a bit of detective work and came to the conclusion that the actual location is Patsy's Pizzeria on 2287 1st Avenue. He visited the place, and the occupants of that building confirmed it was this location, as well as the interior being used for the Punks scene where they are sat at a bar as the "Nowhere to run" song plays. I was sceptical at 1st, as I was adamant that it was on w49th, but after comparing screen shots with google streetview, the 1st Ave location is a perfect match. Even the building on the opposite side has barely changed. The door and entrance they walk through, also matches up. Regarding the building on the corner with the distinguished markings above the windows which you point out in this video; both locations has a building in the same spot with the same pattern. The w49th one is missing the vertical pattern that runs up the side of it. If you look at the movie as they walk through the door, you'll see 3 embossed domes/circles on the panels of the entrance way. They are still there at Pattsy's. There's none at the w49th location. Next time you're in that neighborhood, check it out and see what you think. Anytime you want to compare notes, feel free to get in touch. If you're on facebook, check out my friends page called "Shot in New York" and have a browse at mine at Warriors Worldwide. I shall look forward to your concluding part of this series. Always good to see fans go out and do these videos.
First off, thanks a lot for this detailed comment.. Funny, being a location hound, something didn't sit right with me about that spot.. I know the movie magic tricks of the trade as well. I will include an update in Part 6 and credit you with the correction! I take pride in finding locations that have become a mystery in modern times. I made a mistake in the finale video of my Halloween Tour as well. That was attributed to being dead tired lol... I look forward to exploring that spot.. Thanks again!!
I will say that the first avenue shop is def correct though. That store is not in Brooklyn. You can match that up perfectly from the walls to the fire escapes.
@@NickP Next time you've got a free day for filming in Manhattan, check out these 2 locations; 738 Greenwich Street at the corner with Perry St. 202 W 80th Street. You'll require a monetary bribe to get inside the Greenwich street location. These are the 2 locations that most miss off their Warriors filming guides.
@@NickP Easier to show than it is to type a description. I've put a few comparison shots on my page. Had to rely on streetview, being I'm a UK resident. facebook.com/TheWarriorsWorldwide/photos/pcb.3437753963004436/3437744606338705/?type=3&theater
@@NickP When can we expect the final part? No pressure dude, this year has been crazy and it's totally understandable that you haven't been able to travel about as much as in the past!
@@jacklambert1521 I want to have it up for the day after Christmas.. No worries dude, none taken.. I appreciate the interest! Travel has def been impacted but I’m finding my ways around here and there... This craziness can’t end soon enough. Thanks again!
I would really love to see someone do a filming location tour, for one if my favorite rock and roll film and that would be both Eddie and The Cruisers 1 and 2 filming location tour.. I've read the book and own both films and sound tracks, I also live the warriors... and jaws, other than someone doing Eddie and the cruisers location tour.... I would love to see someone do a Young Guns 1 and 2 location tour for both films
I love that movie and was planning for it this year, it’s a big project. I will definitely do it, I already have all the locations down. I’m doing The Godfather for the 50th this year. I had to push off The French Connection to next year.
LOL.. I never had a situation where people were freaked out. In other cases they were interested or just trying to get out of the way because they knew I wasn't trying to film them.. When they hear what I'm doing they usually respond well to it. One lady was made about me being on her extended property once lol. Thats about it.
Another great video on The Warriors. I’m loving these!! Such an awesome movie and your location scouting is second to none. Btw if you look at 8:20 into this clip you can see to the right of the police officer on the tiled wall in the background the Hoyt sign. You can also see the 96 signs on the support beams. Looks like they either missed covering up some of the Hoyt signs on the wall or thought nobody would notice as it can only be seen for a split second 😊
