@@Raphie009 I'd say more like the Cutty. Both of them got disillusioned with the nature of the work they were doing and moved on to give back to the community they had damaged.
Ironically, this unit ends up doing some of the best police work in the entire department while also flying under the radar all throughout the seasons. Even Bunny Colvin is surprised later on when this tiny unit has all of the drug Intel that he needs in order set up hamsterdam.
@@vikhilboyalla4263 And in a way Prez shootng the wall put him exactly where he would be most useful as In Office work only. And Daniels didn't realize just how good of police that Lester Freamon was.
@@rfalas I believe that it's an undesirable posting, as is motor section. So Prez got put into the discard pile, got punted from there to the even worse discard pile, and then finally got punted from there to work for Daniels. It's illustrating just how low down the totem pole this detail is.
The way Prez changes for the better during the series from S1 to S4 is amazing... From being a useless cop to became a lovely teacher, he unexpectedly found his way.
When you think about it: this scene foreshadows two pivotal events in the show. It sets up Prez as being easily capable of accidentally shooting the wrong person, and it sets up the fact that Keema would be the one to report on a cops bad behavior to her boss like in season 5 with McNulty. Makes it feel like the show was expertly crafted from start to finish the decisions each character make remain consistent with who they are set up as so ultimately if you’re paying attention you could predict their future behavior which is a great payoff for such minor details that might otherwise go unnoticed.
About prezbo, yeah, about Kima, idk. I don't think the ending of this show was thought at this moment or aleast how kima ended snitching. I feel more like snitching was a part of the entire show. Also, I don't feel like Kima is snitching on prez. She received a command and have to obey
It's so cool to see the whole team together on a rewatch. Daniels thought that they sent him every useless hump and housecat in the city. Little did he know that they pretty much got together the A-Team of Baltimore police here.
Prez just had his gun gone off in a room full of people and when his superior comes around without a word but only staring at the irresponsible cop he was given, Prez says to everybody "It's an A-ccident, ok. Give me a fucking break already". Yes, you could say he changed from here to the 4th season
Lmao he started out as such a shitbird. I remember watching the first few episodes and absolutely hating him, only to have the rug pulled out in the second half of the season.
I mean... the name should be "Przybylewski" in the first place, you'd pronounce it like "psheebeelevskee". "Rz" in Polish is a single sound more or less like "sh" in English (side note: it made "Tarzan" extra funny here). Believe it or not, "ryzb" is a very uncommon set of letters even for Poles :D
I wonder if "it was an accident, give me a fucking break already" line inspired any future plot developments? Like, they write it, read it back, and are all, "that feels like foreshadowing. somebody make a note."
"According to an old Baltimore Sun forum discussion thread, a casualty section in the Baltimore PD was where officers who were long-term injured were placed for desk duty. The thread seemed to indicate that the practice may have been phased out in favor of assigning those officers instead to Baltimore's new 311 (non-emergency citizens' services phoneline) service." It's basically a very cushy desk job that a lot of cops want because its chill, not a lot of work etc.
Didn't LT Daniel's have a clearing barrel for his detail hehehehehe😅 also if you look when Prezbo inserts his magazine, he doesn't hit the slide release on his glock so basically he doesn't have a round in the chamber unless he racks his slide to the rear!
+TheWaveofbabies After doing some searching, I believe it refers to desk-duty for officers injured in the field. Presumably, Cantrell sent him there after he shot up his squad car.
