Well it was ruined in two parts for him selling snacks in school and then after getting caught for it becoming a rat. If Randy is breaking under interrogation from a Principal, he would've never not been a rat if he was getting interrogated by a detective.
Randy's story made the least sense. He was a really clever kid but not aware enough to realize what's considered snitching? Especially with how afraid he was of Chris and Snoop in the first place
You're on point with that plus fucked Randy life up even though Randy shouldn't have snitched anyway but he was a good kid caught up in the bad environment
Seeing Snoop would be more frightening I think, where there's one the other won't be far behind, so you have the initial shock combined with the panic of "Oh shit, where's Chris?"

Don’t forget about Herc and Carver also, Carver was supposed to pass this off to Bunk but he let Herc incompentant ass brief Randy. Herc was just worrying about getting that camera back he didn’t give a shit about the situation with Randy and inadvertently told Lil Kevin, Randy snitched. Shit is mad fucked up this season made me hate Herc so much he got everything he deserved I’m glad he isn’t police no more

Which then got Kevin killed because he involved Randy, which got Randy's house firebombed and his foster mom hurt because he talked to the cops. Lex ruined like 5 peoples' lives over some woman who didn't even want him.
Randy was always so blind when it came the money. He took this money from Kevin, he took the $5 to be the lookout and the boys bathroom. He even wanted the $200 that Michael didn't want from Marlo
He wasn't blind it was his surroundings and his upbringing. He grew up in foster homes and his survival instincts was always to take care of himself. It's very limited opportunities to legally earn money so he took advantage of every opportunity presented to him.
I just realized little Kevin was getting his own “friend” set up because lex and Kevin work for Bodie that’s why he couldn’t tell lex because bodie would find out
It's amazing to me how easily they just accept their fate. Lex didn't fight, as soon as he saw Chris, he knew he was done. Same with Kevin, once they put him in the truck, he just looked at Slim like a sad puppy. OldFace did the same thing, they just accepted it.
Andre wasn't going to make it far if he ran. Neither was Lex, they had the set up on him from both sides. Kevin was literally in the lion's den. Kevin though I think about more because nothing about him says "fighting chance." Between his weight and outfit anyway. It's a random thing to point out but it's worth mentioning I think. You look at Kevin in the courtyard when he gets taken away and if not for being severely outnumbered, the dressed code sets them up for failure too. Just not dressed for success or escape.

Just remember, this show got nothing for major awards or nominations during its run. It actually got average ratings during its run. Top 10 show in history. Top 5 for most. It took years for shows to even touch the realistic nature this show produced.

Lex out there chillin like he didn't drop one of Marlo's. He obviously knows how that crew gets down considering he attempted to run after getting sight of Snoop. He should know every knows who dropped Fruit after he revealed himself to Patrice, like this chick really gonna meet up with you at an abandon playground after you blew out dude brain matter all over her club cloths. Kev and Lex made fatal mistakes and paid for it with their lives.

I love the shot here, showing how they use the vacants for tombs, and then zooming out to show all the vacants. Turns the city into graveyard in a split second.
Ok I just noticed a problem. In this scene after killing lex, they come out the FRONT of the vacants, and nail the door shut on the FRONT of the building. Yet when Lester and Bunk figured out where Lex was, they were in the BACK of the Vacants. Still the best show ever tho!!
Best assumption is that they did both to obviously ensure no none would get in, and they did the back door first, as Lex was found there, as it was typical for the vacant victims to be at the back of house.
and he wouldn’t have died 🤦🏽♂️ as soon as he asked Randy to do it, he sealed his fate. he dug himself in an even deeper hole by telling Randy who did it and what they did. then, when he meets marlo’s crew, he lies to their face and says he didn’t tell a kid anything but they already knew he did 🤦🏽♂️ nigga got what was coming unfortunately
If Lex mentions it to anybody in Bodie crew that Lil Kev told him to meet with her before meeting the setup they would of known Lil Kevin set him up. Bodie would of most def killed Lil Kevin himself for the betrayal

Salvatorre lucky Luchiano think it was hinted that Lex had a bounty on his head which doesn’t make sense why Lex would still be on any corner still. Lil Kev was grimey wanted the money. Likely the cash Kev gave RANDY at the end was some of his reward for giving up Lex
I don't see it this way. Randy had real aspirations of being a business owner. Dude had a natural hustle and selling candy he got on discount was a part of that. I see how him selling candy while steps away from dudes that are selling dope is sad tho. But at the same time he went to where the customers would be, business savvy
Fat Kev should've done what Marlo ordered him to do. Instead he came up with a dumb plan to have Randy do it because of some "create some distance between him and Lex" excuse that doesn't make any sense since Lex was going to be killed anyway.
Kevin didnt even need to tell Randy about Lex getting killed, specifically that Chris and Snoop was the ones that did the killing. Talked too damn much yo.... The nigga sealed his own fate when he told Randy to deliver the message to Lex instead of doing it himself. Smh 🤦🏾♂️

I thought Kelvin was working for Brodie at that time (and Marlo hasn't force him to take their package at that point). Kelvin isn't part of Marlo's crew, so why Kelvin is doing tasks for Marlo?
Kevins a damn snake man. Listen how he talk down on Bodie and remember how enthusiastic he was when he was tellin randy how lex got smoked. And Bodie was so upset about Kevin getting killed like that was one of his day 1s. Kevin getting smoked made Bodie hate marlo to the point of risking getting caught talking to the laws in broad daylight which eventually got Bodie smoked. Then didnt Randy get caught up into being label a snitch over this Lex situation also?? And being labeled a snitch is what made ppl burn down his foster moms home which sent Randy back into the foster mosh pits to fend for himself. Little Kevin got 2 ppl killed and ruined Randys life. That piece of chit deserved what he got. A domino effect foreal. This show man. U always catch something u didnt catch the last time. Golden TV.
