At 8:45 The Wizard (blessed be his name) calls the dragon his fellow, this implies he is a polymorphed dragon which might explain his high power level, affinity for fire, disdain for sorcerers and uncanny resemblance to the man named Jacob.
This actually is the backstory of a D&D character of mine. A young bronze dragon who stupidly forced a Marid into a wish to change shape into a humanoid but never got the power to change back and is now stuck as a bronze dragonborn genie warlock :P
"Having good AC is the mark of a good wizard... However, having mage armor makes that kind of obsolete!" *proceeds to lower the stat that makes mage armor better*
Maybe it was the editing/timing or just me, but I busted a gut at 17:15. Gale be like: *Gets pulled out of man-eating portal* *Stands up, dusts self off* "Hello, I'm GAY" (An absolute power move)
**dies to intellect devourer** “this is actually fine, this just means I get to experience the finely crafted tutorial with a new character, and maybe even see some new and unique dialogue options and choices”
Shadow Wizard Money Gang. Let's break that down. Shadow = Dark/Stealthy Wizard = Wizard Money = Gold Gang = a loose enterprise of folks. Therefore, The Wizard being a member should have a Criminal Background with stealth and Slight of Hand.
It's not till you hit level 5 where the Wizard really starts to pop off. It wouldn't surprise me if you decided to make a team of heroes that cast the one spell that you only need in a game.
New challenge: BG3, but the Wizard is in your party. The Wizard will Fireball (or other burst AoE spell) anything you are currently interacting with the moment he's in range or you initiate interaction. The Wizard is forever heavily encumbered, but must always be grouped with, following, and otherwise moving towards the currently selected character. If he is stuck, in danger, or dying, he must be helped ASAP. The Wizard can use teleportation spells, but only towards the currently selected character. Finally, The Wizard must get the Alert feat, and Fireball at least every two turns of combat.
I have to say, BG3 really opened my mind to more than just 1 or 2 classes. Being able to work with a full party I discovered a great arrangement of builds and combos.
The really funny thing is you can fight the intellect devourers after getting Gale and Astarion, if you fight them at all; you can scale the cliff next to the Nautaloiud. 😅
I can not tell you the joy I felt when I was waiting for the Game Awards to stop being a giant advertisement (which it never did), and instead went over to your channel to find the Wizard rage quiting.
For more reasurch, I think it would be interesting to see how this experiment pans out. Jacob, put him into a bag of holding with your pc setup and let him stream More reaserch.... required
To kill the brains Shadowheart has inflict wounds which should hopefully one shot one of them. If you need to heal, throw a health potion so it heals both of you.
That run was quite an experience. Those one and a half hours passed so quickly. Definitely something I would love to see more of, but I know it was more of a one-time thing.
Hey I was watching through some your videos and came across the tomb of horrors run through. Not sure if your party runs other one shots but one that has become my favorite is a three part one shot called The Necromancer of Zhentil Keep. Also just started a honor run as a wizard and now I am terrified.
My usual roleplay persona while gaming is that of a real estate agent on a call. I walk into a room full of enemies and am all "scott brown motherfucker get the fuck out, I've got a showing!" Just kidding, I only did that during Code Vein.
What's so unfair is that EVERY challenge would have been solved with Fireball... but The Wizard was denied his one true spell. I believe in the conspiracy against The Wizard. We must unite to end all Fireball-less runs!
When we played thorugh BG3, they had yet to patch the infinite spell glitch and I was channeling this exact character while throwing around back to back action surge upcasted chain lightning and 1 tapping everything. Kinda surreal to see him actually playing but sad that you can't get the unstoppable murder wizard experience that was release patch.
Love to see another video like this, maybe even chad plays bg3 and every time you die your just like, that’s cool having consequences makes the game more fun.
