Recently began playing a Cleric again for the first time in several years. Peace Domain. Yes, I try to heal the party where I can. But if I realize I’m doing barely any healing compared to the damage we’re taking, I’m gonna start Blasting. Had to Disintegrate a Goblin with Guiding Bolt cuz we had a LOT of Low AC Glass Cannons in our party during our first session, lol (DM flavored it as Dusted cuz I did 18 Damage on 4d6 and it had, less than half that for Total HP, lol)
I feel like the Ultra Instinct feat is something someone would make for their friends for like a DBZ one-shot. I’ve made stuff like that, not intended for regular use, just like a goofy one-off
True damage is that feeling you get when someone says something true about you, that you can't argue with, and is devastating to how you feel about yourself and your place in the world.
0:56 realy simple Dm: the bbeg survive but he almost at the end he his at 1 hp and attack you whit a lightbolt and drink a helaing potion Player: what how he can do 2 spell at sams time Dm: well he know you will come Player: yes Dm: so what tell you he dint use death ward before the fight for make sure he survive Player: that... actualy make sense
It’s weird as I just got one of those ruling. I’m planing to do a path of the open sea paladin and the dm said that if I do marine layer I can only see 5 feat in front of me even tho I’m the paladin and it says I can see through the area. He says the fog is like a donut. Everyone I talked to says different and I checked and in critical role it’s used differently. The thing is this is for my C2 character and I’ve already played 3 years with this dm. I’m not sure what to do
my group is fixin' to play this fallout thing amgabob. We do have to a homebrew of a homebrew because I am playing a character that is a genetically modified rat that has such hight charisma where when he speaks in his rat language, (known as the celestial language), he is praised to. So I might have a cult that praises to a 2 foot toalder size rat that wish to be a rat again.
I once ran a campaign. My players found a way to commit genocide on all of eberron by electrocution on the city of sharn. The lightning spread through the metal. My party became 20th level in our fifth session.
First time DM here. For the first issue of hiding the villain, could the DM not say the creature is using some kind of masking spell? So they can say something like: "You cast this ritual and, whilst you can definitely feel something in the area, there's almost this kind of magic static that's muddies the sensations you're feeling. It's as if something unnatural is attempting to block your attempts, but you definitely know they are at least within a [x number] of miles radius."
Yeah, you can't cast a second Levelled Spell with Action Surge, that's how I learned it anyway in the games I played. I'm with the DM on this one, player was a bit of a wuss to quit on that.
I just spent hours creating my first character for a friend's upcoming game and it was a 1 to 1 experience of the "it's beautiful. I've stared at this for 5 hours now" meme for how long it took finding more crazy things to take. It's so cool that it can be really simple or extremely complex for what you do with it. I'm looking forward to playing this protectron. Thanks for releasing this!
All this reminds me of WOD, where there is a character called Caine who is basically vampire Jesus and his stats are literally called. “YOU FUCKING LOSE” and that’s it
Sponsee related note; I love that my dice roll low and seem to hate me. I don’t actually think they’re balanced, and I tell my DM’s that. Like it sometimes will roll 2’s twice in a row and never really crits or critically fails. I think it’s fun to be bad at everything.
“Not Using Squares” haven’t done that in a long time. DeWalt has a real cheap tiny 6’ tape that is soooooo useful. Basically just take any war game movement and Line of Sight system like 40k’s and call it good.
Glad this works for you but this seems so mechanically dense just to not roll multiple d20s. I’d highly encourage people to try games that are different, Modiphius has put in excellent work into a game that feels great to play.
I gm'ed my version of your sunderdome adventure, and I've gotta say it rocked. It was 7 players at level 9. Thank you so much for your content, I can't wait to try this fallout ttrpg.
To be fair, if you are hammering a metal thing into a stone wall, that is *very* loud, for logics sake i'd say they know exactly where you are, but you are invisible still
I would have cast darkness on an item of his not specifying which, so wherever he’d teleport Ik he’s at the center of the radius, it would also be effective at making him use his actions taking off armor or dropping weapons to rid himself of the darkness, and I’d just take whatever items he drops
