@@crimson-foxtwitch2581 you might be right. They have stayed in contact with the backers which is something. Apparently they have had a manufacturing delay of the physical copies due to covid lockdown. To compensate they sent all the physical backers a Steam code for the game( shame, I have a Mac) and the added bonus of a lenticular cover for the physical game.

Warren Sayer Oh it gets worse, much worse. There’s two articles written by a member of the development teams for two indie games originally under Dangen: Fight Knight, who terminated their contract last July, and Devil Engine, who’s dev as of now would rather have you pirate his game than buy it legally until this mess is over. Those articles in total are like 4 hours long to read through.

@@crimson-foxtwitch2581 I heard about Devil Engine, but didn't realise Ben Judd was involved with all of these incidents. How the hell does he keep getting work in the industry? I will just have to trust in the integrity of Platinum games :/

Warren Sayer He’s in DDMA as one of their highest members and has worked with companies as big as Nintendo. Basically a one-man yakuza clan in the Japanese games industry. He even was responsible for both screwing up Mighty No. 9, and setting in motion the deal that would lead to Scalebound getting cancelled. Kamiya himself has subtly admitted that Bayonetta 3’s development has been rocky thanks to all the Dangen stuff going on. If you want to know more, look up “dangen warning wordpress” and click on the Wordpress articles written by who I mentioned above, coquially known as either THE WRITER or DWARN.

I’m part of the cult fans who backed the project yet given how bad the Kickstarter and “remaster” has been handled all illusions are gone. I hoped a reworking would bring the game out of niche yet barely if not anything has been changed.

Honestly, the game deserves a 9 or 10 IMO, flaws and all

It had a crowdfunding campaign but Nintendo as far as I know didn’t drop a trailer in a direct.

I backed the remaster thinking that it would be improved and yet it’s not. Big disappointment

It has improved the graphics tho. On Wii U it was only 720p byt now when Docked it's 1080p

probably didn't have any money or time, they had to make kickstarter just to get them ported and no sponsor or publisher would back up such under-selling video game.

@@AlexAmor7 yeah, but its a Kickstarter. Therefore they had to come up with their own release date, and they got tons of money (I think I heard around a million). So they really don't have much of an excuse

PhoenixFire Actually, it’s because of the publisher: Dangen Entertainment, run by Ben Judd, a guy that has screwed over numerous game studios. It got so out of hand that one person wrote a 2-hour article about all the corrupt issues with the company. Twice.

bruh the speed liner works like fighting game inputs once you get used to it. You can use L(B) to draw instantly and don't even have to draw the whole thing for some glyphs

I got the Wii U original for free via club nintendo. Though, I missed out on a lot of 3DS games that they were giving away because mine was broken at the time... the worst posssible timing.

A Very Angry Guy I wouldn’t exactly call astral chain good compared to this, it’s probably one of platinums most uninspired works

If you are willing to ignore many of its flaws, there's a great game beneath it. tbh most of its flaws are technical and not anything game breaking or something you can call 'broken'. Though I would recommend PC version over switch if you have one.

Its an annoying game. I have no clue why it was so hyped on kick scam starter.

DarthMayvin in terms of Kickstarter physical backers are now not getting the game until after retail. Late June. Who knows about the other merchandise. Prior to this they sent out digital codes and then stated that they sent out the wrong codes yet backers still reported not receiving codes. Communication has been bare minimum. You’re not dealing with platinum but the yetee. And then the question of how much of a remaster is this as supposed to a port. From day one there has been too many questions (like tencent investment) and yes there have been answers but not always.
