Sort of... This compilation makes Jerry feel very one note with his redundant crossed eyes look. I'm of the opinion that Carol Burnett had a bigger influence on Jim.
I remember watching him as a kid back in the seventies. He was my favorite. Made me laugh so hard that my head would hurt. Lol. Rest in peace Jerry. You will be missed.
He was the top earning star for over a decade...did film, TV, radio, recordings, live shows....billions gathered in charity...an actor, writer, director, producer, innovator...on stage from the age of 5 to 91... umm, exactly what have you done??
Are you kidding me EDGAR HELBLING? Jerry put Dino's name on the map. If it wasn't for Jerry, there would've never been any Dino. There were thousands of crooners in the old days with even better voices than Dino that never made it. Why do you think Dino ever coupled up with Jerry in the first place?
You call him a creep? I don't even want to know WHY some nobody like you would call him that. Just cuz you don't think he's funny is no reason to speak that way about someone so many people loved who just died. YOU'RE THE CREEP! What the hell is wrong with you?! He made people laugh, and he helped to raise awareness and mucho $$$$$ for Muscular Dystrophy. What have you ever done, edgar helbling? I don't recall ever hearing your name...
Cinema needed people like him, but there weren't many of them. Very animated, funny visually as well as with words and sounds. There was always something about a Jerry Lewis film. His first solo film The Delicate Delinquent is a masterpiece. One of his best.
Jerry Lewis made my adolescence much lighter.. As an adult I came to admire him for his fund raising telethon in favor of the muscular distrophy association. R.I.P. Jerry!
Thank for this upload. I was very fortunate to meet and work with JL in the 90's as his personal security while he stayed in Melbourne when on tour. A genuine, caring and extremely funny man, who engaged with those around him. A truly wonderful man who left me with many stories to pass onto my grand children.
Thank you Paul Hagl for posting this excellent documentary about one of the absolute greatest comedians of all time. Jerry Lewis the true king of comedy.
Truly sad why he die , he always remember lots funny moments of movies he left us to enjoy though his life career. God bless Jerry Lewis. R.I.P. If there box Collection all movies did in his life. His movies and many other things did in his life lives on forever and ever A plus all film movies clips. He was Gift person make laugh or cry and so much more. Thank you Jerry Lewis.
Idc if he was a dick to his family and grumpy in old age, this dude is up there with the 4 greats of comedy, alongside Chaplin, Monty Python and the Stooges. He was one of the funniest, if not the funniest human of all time
A great loss to anyone with a funny bone and an even greater loss to anyone with Muscular Dystrophy, i would assume. (Spellcheck says i misspelled "Dystrophy". Sorry)
He was so unique and so funny and so over-the-top and brilliant is so many ways. He was blessed to have that face and do those expressions and movements. He made you laugh over and over and over again. And so verbally brilliant and fast and witty and sharp.
no he wasn't?? THIS IS SO CORNY AND GENERIC, if you think this is funny? you would piss yourself every single time out of laughter if i did said or did something funny
He was a funny. I was like 12 in the 80s when I found his films. I always thought his kids must've been laughing all the time. Imagine my disappointment when I later in life found that he was an asshole to his kids.
Oh man that made my night. I've had a few Jerry highlight vids posted. Some were pulled. This just makes me want to go dig out the DVDs and watch'em again. Great compilation. Hit the highlights hard! Loved the editing and choice of scenes. Thanx again.
Of all the comedians that we loss,Jerry Lewis has & always will be my favorite comedian!! He has made me & my wife laugh every time we watch 1 of his movies or on The Colgate Comedy show.He is truly a one of a kind man.Thank you Jerry Lewis for the hours of laughing & the many memories that I will always remember.
I was thinking how great the music was on his movies. He probably had something to do with choosing it as a much valued producer. Especially on disorderly orderly!
Jerry was much more than a comedian. He was an all around entertainer. He could sing, dance, play piano, act in drama, but he loved to make people laugh. He was one of the most benevolent stars I have known, working tirelessly year after year for muscular dystrophy. He gave a lot to this world. One of the best.
Simply HILLARIOUS!!!!! One of the best comics EVER on this planet..period!! Thank you jerry for indeed blessing humanity with your God-sent gifts...you always make me laugh!! And I for one need that!!
Profoundly unfunny. I'm positive every commenter on here who likes this is old as balls. But comedy just doesn't age well. I'm sure what we find funny now will be incredibly lame in 50 years too.
Jerry Lewis always reminded me of the unfunny annoying child at every christmas who tries to impress everyone with stupid cringey little performances. He covers the stupid facial expressions like an expert 6yr old child.
Wow! Pulling faces and shouting - this is the pinnicle of commedy. I also love in a best of compilation we see the same jokes multiple times - really speaks to the depth and breath of his writing. Great compliation that realy exposes the amount of tallent this guy had.
Lewis was like so many of his type. In his job (career) he was incredible making so many friends along the way and his MD charity. HOWEVER, like so many who are narcistic sociopaths he was not good (or even caring) to his own. He had 5 or 6 boys with his first wife Patti and left this world with millions behind him but he disinherited all 6 boys. Who does this? A falling out with one child? Maybe. All six-I think not. A lot too depends on what kind of a woman they are with at the end. She is a great influence(r).
I will never be able to see Jerry Lewis the same way since he abandoned his first family to start a new one and left so NOTHING to those that helped him be a family man and be a success by his previous wife and children. He is a real "jerk!" Karma hope does his job with Jerry.
Abandoned his family? They were grown up and some had families of their own by the time he and Patti divorced after 36 years. It was Dean martin who left his young family, but that was his business. People do split up and remarry sometimes, it's not 1800.
I was born in the eighties so this was before my time but he so reminds me of Jim Carrey and Adam Sandler in one person. Just watching this funny clips made me laugh so much it's too bad I wasn't around to watch him on TV rest in peace
Evan Arapis I'm not a big fan of black and white movies also I don't have anything to watch it on like a laptop or computer but yeah he is I mean was a funny guy
Jerry Lewis - Jim Carey very similar. Obviously Jerry antedates Jim. They both finally crossed paths late in Jerry’s life. Upon introduction, Jim comes up close to Jerry and proceeds to lick his face ( cheek). The look on Jerry’s face was.. “did he just do that?” But took it in stride as the comic and character of the man he was.
I just never got it. Still don’t. How anyone laughs watching him baffles my mind. I’m not knocking him at all. I know he brought joy to a lot of people, and his telethons have literally changed the lives of many people, and for that, I have nothing but admiration for this man. I just don’t get him.
An excellent editing job with all of the clips...Love it, I've loved Jerry since I was a kid...thanks so much for making and sharing this. I think Jerry would love it too, may he Rest In Peace : (((
