I’m pissed because I’m older & I could have lived a great life, but was always in survivor mode, it really stole my life. My advice to anyone is to just go live! Go out & ground yourself in nature, soak in sunlight, listen to healing frequencies, forgive yourself & walk away from anyone or anything that holds you back from being your true authentic self.

NO exactly how you feel its an insult to all of us especially in the exjws communities i gave 8 yrs as a regular pioneer in my youth took a minimal job to assist this cults ideology yet now feel very frustrated at the cults damage towards all of us who got away

Am in the middle of nowhere and/or finding/affording therapy is out of the question. Did have a bit of therapy while trying to seek employment change. Great having someone to talk to but really did little to help with any situation. Did talk a bit about belonging to JWs org. great person- I enjoy talking with her. But that was it.

Im fully understanding you on this issue have found for me independent therapy is for me the best my own way as im so thankful for having a good rapport with my non jw partner to me its so important and having this support is enabling me to be able to get this life i was so denied 😊

Good video thanks Riley yes outside exjw are best with any support for us getting back the life we were once denied for me my partner is my go to his love support and stability gives me the best comfort during my journey of re discovering myself. Id love to do another interview now im engaged etc almost 6 yrs on fading if you're able to assist lol 😂😂

Funny enough, no more counting time starts Nov 1, but rank and file JW don’t know it until at least Nov 6. They don’t stop it immediately after getting the “new light”, knowing it very well it’s unscriptural, but wait until one month later. How loving it is… And likely many JW are not listening and simply continue to submit time and got confused at the end of the month. And because it’s policy so deeply rooted in history, likely some JW will continue to count time and do all kinds of things to make the time, until months later finally done. Will there be old stubborn JW keep counting and submitting times until they die? This is such a hardcore change.

Haha! I used to tell my husband things about being a JW, just after I left. He responded very similarly to your wife😂. Speaking to him did help a lot but I do still think I'll need therapy once I have enough of a stable income to pay for it. Does anyone else here find it difficult to watch/play anything with a dystopian/end of the world theme? I'm curious. My husband loves things like that but I can't handle it at all so he will just watch/play those things with I'm off doing something else or not home. I hope everyone is doing well.

Yes! I've struggled with watching movies that have apocalyptic themes ever since leaving! Last week I watched "Leave the World Behind" on Netflix. It was difficult to watch and I found it very triggering but I leaned into it and used it as a form of exposure therapy.

I would also recommend "Enlightenment Now" by Steven Pinker. "Enlightenment Now" goes through all the signs: famine, war, crime, lawlessness, etc. It reminded me of Carl Olof Jonsson's book, "The Sign of the Last Days, When?"

Thank you for this information. You were probably a good JW too like I use to be. Glad you are a free man now. Darn if you did not have wife, I d flirt with you. :) Again thank you for hard work.I do think will be attack on our system n US ... electircity or water supply. Be ready
