My second WTC video, featuring commercials from my converted VHS collection (including one from a tape that won't be up on Internet Archive for a couple months), as well as part of the intro of A&E's Breakfast with the Arts which... well, just see why what was captured for me is particularly unusual. And also screen captures of emulated Mac software also featuring the towers, most of which I owned but when I didn't think they'd be enough I decided to check out NYC-specific titles. Midway through getting captures of those I thought maybe this is cheating, but I had already gotten so much that I realized it wouldn't be fair to my audience to stop and leave them out now. And as usual, editing turned out to be a nightmare, which is why this is so late (that and I couldn't get to sleep at a decent hour last night). But I hope I have been able to present this respectfully (or as respectful as possible with the commercialism and You Don't Know Jack's humor). Because to me this is a showcase of a world frozen in time on obsolete media and in abandonware, which would be forgotten if not for people like me who believe in preservation no matter how inconsequential some people think this stuff is. Because it isn't. Time capsules are always important.
This video is dedicated to the innocent lives taken in the attacks 23 years ago.
