Actually, I really like healing especially when my fellow healers fuck it up and I can obviously carry their load for them as much as I can carry my share. It's probably the nerd equivalent of bench pressing more than others. Bonus points if said other healers are big money spenders and my broke ass shows them up in performance.

***** Ahaha, I'm a healer in Tera too! I know in some dungeons like SSNM/HM some indicators don't load and whatnot, but there are plenty of people that can definitely see that they're standing in something and then are somehow mad at their healer when it kills them. Just pls try to not stand in the big BRIGHT ORANGE CIRCLE and it'll make both of our lives easier.

XD In Tera i say that a lot too while some other healers i know say can you heal stupidity? I also had a bad experience with the tank he kept going on and I'm following him to make sure he doesn't die instead i get caught in a crowed of mobs and die

There was a great Resurrection spell to deal with players like that in Guild Wars 1 (shame it ate up your elite skill slot). It was a ressurection spell that would revive somebody at full strength, and it cast really quick too. The catch was it was a maintained enchantment, which meant it ate up some of your mana regeneration. There was ways to work around that though (such as skills that would give you mana for each enchantment you maintained). But the great thing is, you can cancel maintained enchantments freely. So if the player got himself killed doing something dumb, you'd rez him with the spell. Then if he ran off or was about to do something stupid that endangered everyone else again, you'd just drop the enchantment. Boop. Dead. It was great. I'll bring you back when you listen and agree to behave. Shame they changed the spell's functionality in the end, but I can understand why. Lots of potential for abuse. Was fun while it lasted though lol.

Yeah, I remember something similar. I was running through a dungeon with a new tank. He wasn't doing too bad, but the dps guys weren't being patient, running on ahead to finish the dungeon as quickly as possible. This irritated me, particularly when they triggered the final boss while he was watching the cutscene. I was going to stay with him until he watched it, but I got dragged in by the boss's suction ability, dragging me into the fight. I opted to fight it, but when one of them died, I simply let him sit there until the tank was finished and came in, at which I took my time scolding the dps guy while hardcasting my revive spell on him. It was glorious and I got a full party commendation.

I have played healers in the past. and I've gotten shit for it too. played an off healer spec in rift, no main healer in the dungeon, was expected to be a super healer. blamed for deaths. even when I told them I'm not spec'd as a main heal. I was dps/heal. heal while doing damage.

In KalOnline it was common to ask the dead for a Large Potion or gold in exchange for Rez. But could also charge for speed buff, or by the hour to run dungeons. That was back when healers were respected ❤

So true! Ashamed to admitt this but once I tried a different class in which I had played as an healer forever and they had to explain the boss mechanics and what I had to do! Simply because I only knew how to: Keep the green bars up and stay alive to keep them up!

I regularly brag to the Deeps, "I have no idea how you got OneShotted" (followed up with) BUT.. "I can't heal You if you're dead, so try to kill faster before I logout from boredom." (let them figure it out themselves)

with my experience the other healer constantly heals *baddly* no with no dps (like they normally play dps and this is what they think a healer really does) while I just do my normal thing and dps/heal like normal wishing the other healer would just fucking attack something because we keep over healing

I like "healer parties" but I always find a way to solo (or pub) most of the game, as a hybrid build almost everyone hates or misunderstands.. (until I finish off the mob by myself and they beg for rez lol) Seriously though, there are lots of dps who have no clue wtf healing is about, and it's even funnier to me when they don't realize "their heals are missing a few zeros, compared to someone more dedicated to the class." but I've even felt this too, and I prepared the whole game by soloing with newbies and randoms.. So usually I know how long the fight should last before it begins, and if nobody brought an attack.. We are all reminded in that moment, the glory of having battle healers (like me) ...who actually bring attacks despite getting crapped on by "Nerf begging Deeps" ..... Or I just say "FK this shtt" and ditch out.. I really do love randoms.. They can never tell that I delayed my cast on purpose, so that way I could heal them on the edge of death.. Oops, oh well..
