In my opinion, this is the absolute musical summary of Josh Homme. Dark, twisted, off tone, loud, long and perfect. To add JPJ and his favourite drummer to the mix with those almost evil, Elvis vocals - nothing can compete. This performance is bliss!
Ollie Law The only way you could have described Josh Homme so well is if you felt his creations and not just heard it. Not many of us out there. Respect dude
EpicCommander Damn, now that i think about it, that's true. Before i knew of the existence of Josh Homme i was pretty much obsessed with Kurt and his art. I used to be really underwhelmed that we never got to see more of him, but Qotsa and TCV made me grow out of it. I still hold Kurt in really high regard but now i feel like Josh made me realize that good music will never die, and that there still are incredible artists out there.
All of Hommes work just takes me to a different place. The side of lonely, dark and dusty freeway on a soft rainy, summer night. That kind of place. This song especially.
Man, for some reason, QOTSA and Josh's riffs in general remind me of sand.....his riffs ride the wave but the groove has a dust....its not a wave, its a dune.
Josh is my FAVORITE musician of all time. QOTSA is one of my FAVORITE bands ever. But this. Is the best album ever to me. Nothing competes with this. I've listened to this album or at least a few songs off it every day for 7 years. And I've never gotten tired of any of it. Such an incredible thing to have happened. How lucky are we to have it happen while we're alive.
I got to see their first show before I was ever a queens of the stone age fan... was the craziest shit ever with no preconceived notions or single. Just about 1100 of us at the metro having our minds melted hard as fuck by Warsaw. I was sober and it literally was the only time that music made me feel like I was tripping.
this album pulled me through a very dark period, along with the rest of Queens' catalogue, and Post pop depression. Josh and friends are sent from heaven
This is it. This has to be one of the greatest live performances I've seen. This is so fucking insane. I'm so mad that I was only like 9 or 10 when they toured for this album All I wish in life is that they make another album and tour for it, because I know I'll pay any amount of money to see this shit
Totally feel you. I'm not one to pull the "dude you just HAD to be there" shtick, but I saw them in 2010 and it's etched into my nervous system as a once in a lifetime gig. They got better and better every night and this final show of the tour is one of the most undeniable statements a rock band has made this century. Fucking brilliant.
Same here. Saw them in Boston. Album wasn't even out yet. They opened with Elephants when they hit the chorus it made me weep lol. They were on a level no one else can come close to.
"Holes, they need to be filled." Will we ever see another poet, musician, time traveling troubadour take our imagination to where eagles fly. Thank Josh and Co..
I love this song so much, especially the outro. The way Josh’s vocals sound like they don’t want to leave the song at the end, and especially how the guitar hands the keys to the piano. It sounds like all the pieces are yanked out before they are done, making it so epic but with a twinge of sadness, until JPJ’s guitar solo lifts us back up from the depths. Incredible.
This song is so good when josh is screaming it just gives the song way more power and need. and the different way he said the line “what have you gone and done my love” just sounds perfect and dark.
Nobody can play like Dave. I hear a lot of people talk about metal drummers like they're the best out there, but they all kinda mesh together to me, shit sometimes they sound like flat out drum machines. But Dave plays with a certain technique and so much SOUL in a way I've yet to see repeated. Attempted, sure (myself included) but never repeated.
The energy, the feeling, the pasion, what an outstanding performrance. I wonder if the people watching recognise the value of this super musician group. What a masterpiece, how these super talented human beings can pull this off, just makes me genuinly happy. Wish i can see them in a near future!
Someone gave me a link to this live... He was right. This is amazing! I love all Josh works, especially Kyuss and QOTSA, but this.... This is a piece of art. Not to mention how Dave and John are also amazing, but Josh will be one of my favorite musician right now!
Jesus what a tune …what a combo of master rock musicians ….seen Led Zeppelin in 07 …this was on par with the excitement levels …god the crowd look listless ….makes you realise how up for it the Glastonbury folk are when they cut loose they’d have been off there skulls to this brilliant performance ….
@@lepoisson it's been what. 7-8 years since I heard this for the 1st time? I still can't get over how good they sound and what incredible chemistry they have on stage! JPJ and Dave are rythm wizzards.
Absof&%#€inglutely beautiful, piece of godlike music,4 amazing talented muscicians combined, I've seen and listened to this song like a million times and I always find a new detail in these guys artistry ...sublime!!!
Mr. Baldwin (JPJ) can be the key 🎹 ingredient to any gourmet musical feast, he was performing No Quarter in MSG when these band mates were just coming out of their diapers, may they all live long into their 2nd adult diaper phase jamming as the bad boys they so obviously are.
