I have said it once and I will say it again, the people at Respawn made one of the most true to George Lucas SW stories since Disney bought the IP, heck I'd say the vibe, themes and even the music are better than most Dave Filoni SW, and I like Dave Filoni...
@@JNelsonReal Disney literally greenlit Jedi:Fallen Order - the fuck? lmao You think this game made it out to market without the owner of the IP seeing it's progress and end result?
As I said in one of my comments, this was the first time we got to see the power difference between Vader and other force users (compared to the films and TV shows at least, I never watched the animated stuff or read the comics). In the live action stuff, everyone felt kind of equal. This scene showed just how not equal they are. Cal was a good fighter, but fighting Vader is like fighting a god. That's how it should always feel to go up against someone at the level of Vader or the Emperor.
The ROTS ost bleeding through while vader was practically breathing down the Inquisitors neck was so haunting. Absolutely loved this part of the game, none of them ever stood a chance.
From someone who bought it when it was fairly new and I had no idea what the ending was it was fucking nuts as soon as I heard the breathing I freaked out
I love how Cal actually gets a hit on Vader (more of a graze) I thought that was a cool touch. What was awesome for me was how you can't really fight him at all. Vader will always be all powerful and scary in any game, I love it.
This might be my own head canon but I like to think Vader actually has some respect for Cal in how he doesn't immediately attack Vader but he also doesnt immediately run. He sees Cal recognize his lack of power and training and that he has no chance running or fighting, but still tries anyways. Its very obvious Vader is letting Cal run at first and is killing his own stormtroopers to make sure they dont accidentally kill Cal before Vader does. Vader has many opportunities to kill Cal but he doesn't, even ultimately choosing to wound Cal rather than kill him. I wonder if Vader recognized Cals potential after he was able to dismantle and infiltrate his inquisitorius and defeat multiple inquisitors with such little training and wanted to take him on as an apprentice. He just didnt expect cere to be so strong in the darkside.
Vader is low key recruiting for someone to help him kill Darth Sidious. Obviously his son at the moment is like 5 years old and he doesnt know of his existence. He is plotting the same way his Master is plotting to get rid of him. Vader is still hunting and killing Jedi but also looking for wildcard Jedi he can turn and manipulate.
I swear the build up from the beginning made this scene better than any prequel scene. Immediately made Vader cooler than anakin to me especially after he fought Ashoka it’s like a different being
YESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!! Vader is My Favorite Character Of All Time and THIS WAS SUCH AN EPIC MOMENT!!! This is EXACTLY How Vader should be done. Powerful and Unstoppable. I LOVE THIS GAME SOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!
@@GreenFalcon926 what part was he intimidating? When he killed more kids? when he stopped perusing Obi-wan because of a fire that he initially started? when he let Reva go after she fails him but said she put a tracker on Leila’s droid? Or was it when he got his ass kicked by Obi-Wan who hadn’t trained or fought with a lightsaber in years?
The lack of darkside powers is really the only thing keeping these 2 Jedi games a notch below The Force Unleashed. Being able to force choke enemies and shoot lighting at them was awesome. Force push and force pull just don't compare. I want Cal to be able to fry some Storm Troopers lol.
first time i did this with out dying ... thing is i knew right away ,, stay the hell away from the walking embodiment of the force (twisted to the dark side) that is the choosen one; AKA Vader. so i jsut haulled ass with out all the poking around tyring to figure where iw as supposed to go.
I feel he possibly considered cal as a potential inquisitor cuz why does he destroy his own base to throw at Cal instead of just pulling Cal back and choking him...
Hey Star Wars theory I just wanted to say I watch your Jedi fallen order streams last night, and now the clips come out and now the Clips come out edit like 17 hours Bruh moment
How do you die that much? lol. I've beaten that game multiple times and I had no idea dying was even possible in that section, then again, I ran, like I was supposed to lol.
4:41 I think we all can agree the Darth Vader we all know and love/fear probably would have cut Cal in half at this moment. My hopes for the sequel were that Cal, determined to destroy the Sith, goes to ancient Sith worlds like Korriban, accesses the Temples and learns new Dark Side powers by besting the spirits of ancient Sith (Nihilus, Revan, Bane, Desolous, Phobos, etc); one of the powers he learns being the Force Mind technique we see Kylo Ren use. How cool would it be it Cal was one of those padawans that looked up to Anakin as a hero and inspiration for the Jedi Order, then receives the shock of a life time by encountering Vader, using the Mind technique and learns that Anakin and Vader are one and the same. That would definitely deal a massive blow to Cal's morale and faith in the Jedi Order knowing someone he viewed as a hero could fall.
This would be awesome, BUT it would also mean Cal will die soon after. Not many characters at all know Vader is Anakin. He killed anybody who found out.
@@NateL1992 Some people who knew of his past identity, Vader let live out of respect. I doubt Vader would allow Cal to live upon discovering his secret, but either Cal would make a lucky escape (such as the base collapsing on top of Vader) or Cal is meant to die, as we do not see him in the future.
So is obi wan super powerful as they don’t say he’s supposed to be more so than Anika’s or yoda or whoever and yet he kicks the crap out of everyone every time. Beats anikan like fifty times beats maul beats that other guy and even at the end he really just chooses to leave Vader still doesn’t really beat him it’s like seriously does he ever actually lose a fight? He’s not ranked as high as a lot of other Jedi I thought how is he so unbeatable? I get he’s up there but even super powerful ones have lost more it feels like than he has.
Did everyone laugh when Cere gets tossed aside by Vader like a piece of garbage? I'm sure it wasn't intentional but I found it hilarious when I played through first time 😂
@@bumponalog5001 yeah there’s a part in clone wars where anakin and either Ahsoka or Obi wan jump down like a ravine or a mountain and use the force to break their fall. I think it was in the movie or in season 1
@@bumponalog5001 Yeah but his legs are mechanical and not the cool kind like General Grievous but the shyty kind that Palpatine chose to keep him weak, closer to C-3PO than anything else.
