Ya, I ended up using it for 70% of the game and 30% was doublebladed staff for the larger groups / reflecting bullets. Crossblade taking weapons / shields / arms apart is great.
Quick tip in case yall dont have the double bladed Saber, if you time it right you can still reflect pretty much every blaster fire coming your way, just gotta let go of block and time each bullet as it goes your way.
These are actually mentioned and shown in cannon and legends side storys, as Jedi of old would use cross guards as it gave them more protection. Kylo has it in his cause he was so eggy that his kyber crystal broke and needwd the exhaust vents
@@calebcamm it's dumb lol and tries to look like a medieval type sword, not to mention how it's swung around like a bat. It defeats the purpose and concept of the lightsaber being an elegant weapon.
Essentially it’s like a claymore sword so if that was the inspiration it really makes sense considering even claymores because of their length we’re more heavy than other swords and required bigger swings.
@@seniorordenanza2387 that’s a misconception. Even larger swords would never exceed 10lbs and were more like 6-8 on average. They were still extremely nimble and finesse weapons.
@@GhostMan407 true but the hilt does. It’s bigger, longer, has more tech inside it. It would have extra weight to it and that makes a big difference in swings.
like a lot of people, I wasn’t sure about the cross-guard lightsaber when it first appeared in the _The Force Awakens_ trailer… but they’re actually pretty super dang dope 🤙 only thing I’d change about them is the name… maybe something like “light claymore” or “claymore saber.”

"did it just glitch?" just about sums up my experience with it too. When i was using single bladed saber, it permanently showed me working at the customization workbench on a crossguard saber no matter what i did. It displays only the crossguard saber parts, and shows my character in game with a split saber, yet i never changed off single bladed saber. they cut corners on a game this big.
in the clip the game is supposed to force him to use the cross guard to clear out the enemies, then it lets you choose. the game worked as intended here.
or anything that isn't a Legacy character... dude reads comics and is very knowleadgeable about SW lore and yet he is very nonchalant to anyone other than Luke or Vader lol
I was mad it made me use the cross guard. As soon as I could I switched back to dual wield and double bladed. I understand monster hunter and dark souls fans like that kind of heavy weapon stuff but I find it really gimmicky.
how is it gimmicky? it’s an alternate stance that is better for certain enemies and playstyles. i get if you just didn’t like it and it didn’t suit your play style but that doesn’t make it a gimmick
