I like what you were coming up with about Sleep taking a bite out of Vessel, to take the negativity away. That's an idea I hadn't thought of before. Interesting. You'll notice as you go along the journey that Vessel has a thing for teeth, biting, and some other stuff you'll hear that's, uh "kinky" 😂. I'm not sure but some of it gives off BDSM vibes 😂😂😂. Who doesn't like adventure in the bedroom?? 😅😂 Anywho, enjoyed the reaction. Just remember, expect the unexpected with Sleep Token. ✌️ On to the next! Worship ❤
They like to open with this song but this last tour they opened with the night does not belong to god. They still played this song during the set it's such a vibe live. I'll reply a link for you to look at.
Fantastic song, one of the top 3 for me. The lore really comes through, in my opinion as well, love your thought process with this. Fun fact: UFC fighter Geoff Neal has The Offering as his intro song for his fights.
I believe the lead singers son died and he gave his son up to sleep to find him in dreams. It is scary once you uncover the truth. And it has mad sorrow. It is a false hope.
My interpretation is: This is a song about love and pain, to him she’s everything. He’s almost pleading with her to begin again by turning the page once more. He’s offering up all of himself to her and wants her to do the same. This is another common theme. The taking a bite of means he wants to be consumed by her love like she consumes his love for her. He saying look you know who I am so let me in. He tells her “ my arms belong around you so let me lay.” He also tells her to give in again which calls forward to the song Give. As you progress you will understand. I know so many people want to make this about Sleep and to each their own but i will never believe any of these songs are about a deity that Vessel calls a He.
