Kieran attempted to kitbash the Space Marines half of the new Warhammer 40,000 Leviathan box set into White Scars. The Leviathan boxset doesnt lend itself to making white scars but thats part of the fun and the challenge!

Awesome job guys, I always kitbash, I know it’s not done in the 40k world but is just like doing Grimdark characters making my own mercenary army.. thanks for the great tips really helps allot 🤟🤟🤟

Kitbashing has been a core base of the 40K hobby for decades. Quite rewarding in fact! :) Hence the monoposing stuff is a shame. Now if they were cheaper i'd be okay with that.

I almost did my Space Marines half of the Leviathan box as White Scars, but changed my mind and went custom Blood Angels successor instead. I'm looking forward to adding the Christmas box so they'll play more like Blood Angels.

I used Tigurius for my Stormseer with a beast man type skull from the skull scenery box and whitescar upgrade sprue bits and some green stuff.

White Scars are a codex chapter, they use all the same gear as all other marines.

Love this format and really gained a lot from the content of the discussion. 👍🏻 I'm in the process of resurrecting my Rogue Trader Scars and I needed bikes, so the Christmas box comment was most helpful and I've managed to snap one up at a discount. Thanks for the tip! I still anticipate saving the Leviathan contents for my Dark Angels, however. While the monopose issue isn't ideal, I think inclusion of the classic (if rather incongruous) native American motifs should do the trick. 😁

Love the White Scars - and yes, just swapping the heads does a huge amount to change the feeling of the marines. Dark Angels veterans' heads on bladeguard is another example of how profound a difference it makes. But back to the topic... this army project + a possible Khan return might make me do a White Scars 1000 point force... I really shouldn't, but looking at this video - its tempting😅 Edit: It's obvious I wrote this before the end of the video - what was that about Bale and Batman??😶

If I had the Leviathan box set, I'd like to paint the Marines as one of the Dornian Heresy Loyalists Legions (I'm thinking of painting them as either World Eaters, Night Lords, Death Guard, or Iron Warriors), I haven't fully decided on which ones to go with. Thoughts?

Terminators are just Model Colour Black, Khorne Red and Leadbelcher. Vets are Model Colour Ivory, Khorne Red and Leadbelcher! That simple 😁

Dislike because the random flickering light that got Edited in when you switched between closeup shots annoyed me utterly. It is sooo ugly and distracting.
