They Thought No One Would Notice This On ANTM 

She was set up. Sam said in an interview with Oliver that Jeremy Scott didn't said anything to her about the dress. Jeremy only told her to have some confidence and energetic cat walk.

I believe Sam told a podcaster during the pandemic that this was staged and Jeremy Scott was not pissed at her.

The fact that Samantha wasn't eliminated during the runway challenge is the main sign that she was being set up. At that point it becomes obvious. No way would they keep her over a girl who kinda sorta looked scared while she was walking if what she did was so offensive lol.

Even if she was told "don't raise the dress." During the practice, she didnt even raise the dress on the catwalk. She posed and her pose shifted the dress. She couldn't see what she was doing to make sure she was "treating the clothes with respect" or whatever. Complete BS for them to treat hr like that

Samantha's outfit looked like a shirt and leggings to me. It didn't even look like a dress.

What they did is called ADR (automated dialogue replacement). They absolutely added that warning from Jeremy Scott afterwards. It was not said at the time. They even went so far as to record them reacting like clowns. Something you wouldn't have noticed back in the day when you didn't have instant replay to pick up on these details. This show is so ridiculous. I'm so glad you reacted to this.

I think Jeremy Scott did say "I told her 15 times not to do that," because we do see him say it. But I don't think it was about Samantha. It was probably something very minor and production manufactured something more dramatic by cutting it together with Samantha's posing.

They probably banked on some girl falling off, but then it didn't happen so they invented Samantha's "disrespect". I think it's terrible that they treated two such sweet girls like this for the challenge... yes hannah's walk was awful, but they literally set everyone up for failure.

Looking back at this moment, they absolutely edited this to make Samantha look like the villain. I'm now starting to think that Jeremy never even once told her to not lift up her dress!

Cycle 11 was the first ever one I watched from start to finish, and when this incident happened I said to myself, “oh dear I hate that she couldn’t see where to put her hands, and accidentally lifted her skirt” I never for a second thought that she did it on purpose, because I thought due to not being able to see well, she couldn’t know where she was placing her hands.

I’m only 4 minutes in but YES! A very astute observation about the lack of clothing rack in the 2nd clip. I also noticed she’s not wearing earrings in the 2nd clip so seems like it definitely wasn’t the same walk!

they set them all up on runway they don't let them practice, they just show up and say get dressed and walk, Amanda Swafford who slightly blind at the time asked to let her walk before the show so could she feel they runway. they said no because they didn't want her to have an advantage, she just wanted to know where she was going. you never see Tyra do any of these things

Love that Jay pronounces with such solemnity that “if you can’t walk, you can’t be a model,” to a group of girls who just walked a runway for the first time. Training? Experience? Positive, helpful critique? Who they? 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

I think you could be right and the voice was dubbed in. Also nice work on seeing Jay's fake reaction during the show. Maybe they didn't had any drama for this episode and they had to make something up quickly.

It's hard to be sure, but it's HIGHLY likely. And I believe it. Sam pretty much said in an interview with she was set up. She said Jeremy Scott was praising her walk backstage and she didn't hear about any criticism until judging. Yet we hear Jeremy telling her not to walk like that. BUT, it honestly sounds like dubbing or overlay when he says it. I'm not exactly sure though, but there's always been manipulation behind the scenes.

@ 9:14 when Jeremy says, "I told her 15 times not to do that", who is standing left/upstage of him wearing the SAME DRESS as Samantha? We didn't see anyone else walk the runway wearing the same print as Samantha. 🤔🤔🤔

That's was totally accidental! She was swinging her arms with a shift dress. Shift dresses are notoriously unruly with the slightest bit of wind or wrong movement. Plus, her hands were probably sweaty. Wet palms will "catch" satin and other types of smooth materials. Also, found her whole dress flipping an odd thing for a new model to do in the first place. I wondered if someone told her to make the dress move a lot to show the flow of the material.

Mister Jay did get to live his Tyra fantasy when he was named as the host of Canada’s Next Top Model. Ran two seasons and was canceled.

Samantha also had no earrings when she was lifting the dress and had what looks like hoops when the designer was talking to her. Definitely set up.

Look at when it cuts to Jeremy Scott saying "I told her 15 times not to do that"...another girl with dark hair is wearing Samantha's dress!! You can clearly see it!! So who is he talking about if that dress is right beside him?!

Honestly, the way her dress goes up, it looks like it just got caught up with her hand when she was putting her hands on hips 🤔 Love the detective work 😂

Watching both your reaction commentary & Luxeria’s has made me see ANTM in a whole different light compared to when I watched this show as a teen & early 20 something. By you dissecting both scenes of Samantha practicing her walk but the differences that occur being dark & light outside says a lot about the editing tactics along with the clothing rack that was there & removed. Well done!

It does seem to be edited to fit their narrative however there does seem to be plenty of footage of Jeremy Scott relaying his displeasure. Regardless, l don't think Samantha really meant to pull up the skirt, she was just trying to put her hand on her hip but she was blindfolded FFS!!

I think what you said was right about how the Jays never reacted off of Sam's walk and they added that clip in to create a moment. They DEFINITELY would have brought all of this up if it was that bad like they made it seem. The show was definitely creating a narrative that I'm sure plays into later episodes with Sam and her journey on the show. I don't remember the episodes but it seems production likes to do these fake moment to create or change the story/journey of a contestant in the way they want. Love the break down as always.

I don’t think that Samantha purposely lifted her dress up at the end of the runway. I think she just wanted to put her hands on her hips and pose, but she had such a loose, floaty dress that her hand accidentally caught it.

11:00 you freaking out about them going off the edge reminded me of the season 3 episode where Amanda, who is LEGALLY BLIND, isn’t allowed to see the dark, raised runway before the show because it wouldn’t be fair to the other girls. Oh how times have changed

My interpretation of this has always been that the designer got over the top mad and they did what they could to make him seem in the right, since they didn't want to offend a guest. Realistically Samantha couldn't even see what she was doing, and that dress was short with a silky material that was easy to ride up.

It sounded out of place because it was. Go to your video (Model called out for insulting a judge) when the episode's judging happened. 19:23 to be exact. They cut part of his comments and edited it into this section to make it look like he had warned her not to do this.

Yeah you hit the nail on the head, if Samantha's walk was so atrocious and insulting why didn't they send her home after the challenge and not Hannah, hmmmm 🤔 They just decided after the runway show to make a big drama out of it at panel.

When there is a complicated challenge like this one, clearly designed to sabotage the models and make somebody fall or similar, BUT no one fails, they always come up with some ridiculous drama.

At the point where her dress is pulled up Jay is not even looking at her. He is looking toward the two people the other side of Miss Jay. You can see him turn back after.

Hanna was so sweet 🥰 I think the whole samantha drama is just Tyra being her toxic self looking for ways to go way overboard like always. She mostly embarrasses herself when she tries to humiliate the girls with stupid fake things. She’s insane.

Tyra and the other judges remind me of the scene in "Dying to Belong" where the mean sorority girls made Jenna Von Oy's character stand on a table while they mark her "imperfections" with markers. Their giggles and her tears. Gawd.

I think they were expecting someone to trip or fall with the blindfold, and since no one did they had to go back and find something for a story. And thats the only thing they had. Even when I was younger watching this I could see she wasn't raising it ,she was just posing and it lifted up a little. She also had earrings on when she's practicing and then in front of Jeremy she's not.

Nothing screams luxury and opulence like a fake thief repelling down to a giant plastic safe door...or was that cheesy it screamed? Goodness gracious 🤦

I think the best evidence that the clips had been doctored to some degree starts at 2:37 where you can see Amanda? Is wearing big earrings but when she’s being told off she doesn’t have any earrings

After watching her little sister, Chris's interview with Oliver TwiXt, it turned out the salon they went didn't cater to ethnic hair; in result to this, they ruined Terra's hair. That was the reason why Terra was upset, and on top of that send her home not that long after. Savages.

Some of these runway challenges seem (ALMOST) legit, but a lot are just reality circus shows. I can't tell you how many times I look up runways after this and nobody does it. How EXTREME is fashion really, Mr. And Ms. Jay????

Regardless of whether he said it, or not, she was blindfolded. Her vision was impaired. Also, on top of that, like you said in the previous episode, if he was so concerned with how his products are being perceived and scene why are you having a bunch of (technically) unprofessional models modeling your stuff anyway? Of course she was set up. Apparently just being blindfolded was enough drama for the show, they had to spice it up by making up more drama over nothing. We can't make a big deal out of someone falling I guess so let's pick something so much stupider to pick on. Especially when no one didn't see any issues with it until HE made a big deal about it.

OMG, I recently discovered your channel and I really love your reactions and I don't know if you're going to read me but cycle 22 has some of what I think are weird and very good sections and I feel that your way of commenting on it would be perfect especially the one of ghosts and dolls. You should also react more to the cycles that there are boys and girls since I consider that there are many sections that are so iconic of the three cycles that included boys and girls and it would be fun to see you react.

I felt bad for both bottoms in this one. Sam was set up and they sent home the trans girl who was nervous about wearing swimwear, especially since some of the other girls said she didn't belong there.

Her practice back stage is kind of her hiking up the dress. Her runway walk was just her posing at the end and his outrage is ridiculous. The dress looks like a long blouse and she's wearing pants underneath so even if she lifted it up a bit it's not like she was showing off her underwear or private bits..

Tyra is LUCKY and should publicly Thank ALL the girls that they didn't come together to sue "ANTM" the show. Tyra's company. Literally, I'm so annoyed with myself that I didn't see the BS from the beginning. I was a young teen, but still... it took me so many season's to SEE what the show has always been. A "competition" to break down, torment, bully and disrespect skilled women who enjoyed and pursued Modelling. Many were professionals already. It's insane, they got away with physically, mentally and emotionally tormenting Humans for decades. For "Entertainment". Disgusting, Horrific and Disgraceful. 🌟 I'm so glad your channel and other channels are addressing the crap these Humans went through. It NEEDS to be told by TRUE Specialists in the field & Professionals with Experience. 🌟

That dress was either too short, or too wide. It had issues. And Jays never seen a lady in painted, please?! Oh gosh, I forgot Isis was in the season. Annaleigh was my favorite, she should have been Top 2. She and Sam were in a Big Bang episode, and AnnaLeigh was in a second show. Ick, Ann Socket, what a queen beee, ooo, cchhhh. Omg! Do the episode where they get hit off the runway with that huge pendulum. That was hilarious.

omg the voiceovers were so so obvious 😩 also something i always noticed… the continuity does not exist 🤓 they’ll always try to stir up drama and tension between the girls to the point where they’ll end up placing a reaction shot of girl A after/in response to something girl B is saying….. but girl B is in the background of that shot.?.?.? so how are they arguing if they’re clearly not even looking at each other?? they’ll use shots from a drastically different place/time and string them together to try to make us believe the story they want.. but we have pause/rewind 😭😂 they’ll do the same with the commentary footage/talking heads, they tell them to wear the same outfit when they shoot those to make it look continuous… but their hairstyle will switch around mid-sentence 🙃🤡 i feel like you should definitely watch/collab with Oliver & Luxeria.. you’d get so much info about this cursed show… yeah some of the things they did were silly and memeable but they still owe angelea her apology 😤 and every girl who resembled a certain enemy of a certain Willy Wonka-esque tyrant…
