Is this the most unnecessary challenge on ANTM? Let's watch and see. 2nd Channel @jkophoto My Photography Presets www.jessicakob... Follow Me / jessicakobeissi / jessicakobeissiphoto / jessicakobeissi www.jessicakobe...
Love how the trays for the challenge are towering, like way more heavy, and top-heavy at that, than the ones they practiced with. And stairs. And fire. And not nearly enough time to practice. I know we know this by now but this show is just a sick social experiment, like “let’s endanger you and everyone around you“
Tyra would NEVER do any of these fashion runways on the show. I understand that fashion runways can be over-the-top, but with ANTM however, they be taking things to the extreme.
It's sad how everyone hated on Alexandria that season. Look how she's smiling, happy for the other girl who won the challenge. Not looking grumpy or whining about coming in second. Classy.
I think Alexander was too too bossy, and tells and dictates to others what they should do that probably is what rubbed the other models up the wrong way.
So when Molly drops the tray and keeps on walking with a "angry" face , Ms Jay critics it, but Alexandria drops the tray and keeps smiling and Ms jay still critics her for being "too confident"
YES! The final Bowser staircase that you can’t get to the top of until you have enough stars! And you stop and turn around to see you’ve only gone up 6 steps 😂
it is. professionals and village people use head scarfs and also a flat tool between the tray and the head to balance it. Never seen it done without either of those
Syrian here, I haven't heard about professional tea tray dancers either, so I'm guessing it's more a Moroccan thing. And I also believe we're all Arabs, no matter if you're from Africa or Asia ❤️ Also, I got so excited because the professional dancer is also named Noor! Living in a Latin American country, I rarely ever hear of someone else with my name 😅
Noor is such a beautiful name! My family is Israeli/Ethiopian Jewish but I’ve danced with tea cups and lit candles it wasn’t easy!! But if your posture is excellent. You’ll do fine.
Ah yes I love it when they ask them to earn skills in 1 day that professionals were probably learning for years if not their whole life. And then they add stairs. And fire. Because that makes sense lol
This was not the most embarrassing challenge. The clear ball one was or it was a runway show. Not only that Eddie Murphy was in the audience. The clear ball runway challenge was done twice I heard because nobody fell the first time so they greased up the runway so they'd capture the girls falling making fools of themselves 😢
Did you ever see the episode with the teeter-totter type of runway over water? And if things weren't bad enough, the runway resembled a wooden pallet type of material, meaning it had a lot of little open spaces rather than a solid platform -- with serious heal height on their sandals as well. That one still lives rent free in my mind as a catastrophic setup for the girls to potentially hurt themselves in fairly serious ways (busted face/teeth or broken ankles, anyone?)
@mellymel3292 I remember that one. Eugenia fell and almost fell into the water. She hurt her knee. That was cycle 7. What exactly was that supposed to be teaching them because as far as I know, no professional model has ever walked a runway like that. They were just cruel for no reason.
@litawi7869 I bet she did too. She seems sinister like that. That's why I can't stand her. She claims that Naomi Campbell was cruel to her but she is what she claims Naomi was to her, to the girls in the show. Putting them through humiliating challenges for what?! The real modeling world isn't even like that.
It’s all about humiliation. The judges seem to get their jollies by making the girls look ridiculous in front of large crowds. They should ask Noor how long she trained before she became a Tea Tray Dancer. The judges will laugh behind their hands when the girls fail, even though they set them up for failure. Mean girl attitude from the judges gets really old after one or two episodes. What exactly are they modeling?
If I'm not wrong, Hannah and Molly had a punishment they didn't air on the show. According to Hannah the punishment was carrying carcasses behind a slaughter house, surrounded by men yelling at them.
I think this was a reference to balance and composure, but the tray thing was a danger hazard. Candles, drink cups, liquids from the cups.... Man... This ain't an obstacle course
The life time supply of wet cat food joke was literally the most relatable thing to me personally. I have 5 cats and they LOVE wet cat food...but unfortunately I mostly have to feed them dry food because of money but I treat them to wet cat food sometimes and they go crazy for it lol I cant open a can in my house without a kitty stampede down the hallway because they think its wet cat food lol I love kitties so much
My cats are extremely picky and eat a healthy dry food. I fed them soft food for once per day for them to share, along with their normal hard food meals. It got so expensive and they were so picky on certain flavors. Probably their favorite snack is to give them the broth that’s in tuna cans when I make myself a sandwich. Just pour the tuna broth onto a plate. Otherwise the cat treats that look like gogurt tubes - we use those occasionally for them to lick from. They love those!
@@cattrainfit8393 omg I've been giving my kitties tuna juice for years!!! They love it!! And yeah most cats are pretty picky about what food they eat. 4 of my cats (all from the same litter) act likes dogs when it comes to eating human food. Like they will eat almost any human food and they try to eat off my plate. It's so bizarre because most cats dont care for most human food, some cats like dairy type stuff or like fish or poultry meat. But I've never met any other cats that like human food so much. I think they are like that because the mom cat was a stray for the first 2 years of her life and then had a pretty neglectful owner for another 2 years before we got here. So I think its because the mom has mainly had to survive on food scraps that the old owners used to have laying around. She somehow passed down her love of human food to them. We never gave it to them, they just started eating off our plates until we learned lol
they're wearing low cut long skirts when they didn't even practice wearing them! I get that it's part of the style but it's like they were being set up to fail. I'd be pissed off too if I were Molly
sure the lady did it without any aid, but normally for anyone that balances anything on their head, wether its for a performance or its because they cary heavy loads of water/food for their village... they use a rounded twisted towel thing that they lay under the tray between their head to make a flat platform to be able to balance it a lot easier (as our heads are normally rounded).
Not much a fan of Alexandria( although editing may have influenced my opinion, apparently) but in the slomo shot you can see how close she came to getting her arm in the candle flames-not to mention every model’s risk of falling down the stairs in a flaming dress. The show didn’t even use unbreakable cup? Or did they use them and just add shattering cups sound effects?
Apparently this is a Moroccan thing and well I', sure the actual dancers have years of experience(as ALL professional performers of this kind do) and they don't just do one trail before the big day...they have rehearsals, again like any sort of production like this. which is WHY(apart from having good sense of balance and rhythm) these things are so impressive. There's a LOT of hard work and fails that happen along the way before you achieve that level of professionalism.
I love the added sound effects...or is it just me who like at 3:23, you see only one cup flying of the tray and it almost mid fall already makes the sound of a hole tray of silverware and some cups hitting the ground?...unless someone not on camera had their whole tray fall too at the same time, but with that show *raising eyebrow
This challenge was exaggerating & moreover humiliating being that contestants were not years & years of skilled trained to even do this. A lot of these challenges for “good TV” Tyra has never even done. Her entire modeling career has entailed runway & commercial photo shoots. 🤦🏿♀️😑 There’s safety issues involved in this challenge which I believe was not considered such as having lite candles on top of their heads & going down stairs without tripping which more than likely happens.
6:45 and she said would be circling the what's up app forever I could not help but laugh. My husband is Turkish and his family have multiple what's up group chats individual chats constantly sending themselves videos. Lol
I honestly fuckin wish they made Tyra do all the challenges they put these poor girls through because we’d either see that it’s SUPER FUCKIN HARD or at least the girls could get input on what is specific to the shoot and get some insight
Has she reacted to the episode where a girl gets a phone call that a close friend of hers has passed away & Tyra immediately takes them to a cemetery & makes her pose at the bottom of a 6 ft grave?
As cringy as this is, it’s kinda cool to see them in Morocco. I was there for two years. Love love love this country and its people! Btw I never saw anyone balancing stuff on their heads..
That's such a classic criticism. "She's too confident" so society wants women to be confident, but we can't be too confident because that's embarrassing?
She could have broken her ankles or her nose if she fell all the way down or I'd those things fell on her head. This was so dangerous and who was Miss J anyway but a self proclaimed runway expert
i remember watching this season as a child and having mixed-up feelings about molly. i thought she was so unnecessary rude and grumpy. it seemed to me that molly wasn't even that excited about the whole competition anymore and it was really weird that she stayed for so long, like she was the runner-up?? i was really confused by her bad manners and rudeness throughout the season. at this point, i liked alexandria who undoubtedly was the "villain edit" of the season and was hated by other girls for mostly no reason
I wanted the young women to all refuse a bad photo shoot as ANTM WOULD NOT HAVE THE POWER if the show was already into production. That would have been awesome.
thats it they go through with these ridiculous photo shoot and then cry. like you have the will power to say NO I DO NOT WANT TO DO IT AND LEAVE ANTM is NOT the only way to be a model.. these girls jus dumb
I love Mario 64 and know exactly what you were talking about. The N64 may not have been my fav Nintendo system, but it does have some of the most iconic Nintendo games I’d say^_^
Honestly though, if any of the girls didn’t seem to care or do well on the challenges… sometimes the judges would bring it up in panel and use it as another excuse on why a model did bad. The challenges started to matter more when they did social media voting
Can you imagine going to Marocco Hearing that Professional Tea Tray Dancing is a Thing Going to the biggest most famous place for it And it's the one night that they're shooting this episode like yall TT_TT
I love that every comment regarding the music is calling it Itsy Bitsy Spider - they're dancing with teapots. I know it's the same tune but I would guess it was intended to be I'm A Little Teapot in our heads 😂
@@theveryfirstlostgirl You're right - it was similar enough that with the tea sets I ended up with I'm A Little Teapot in my head. The ones that are the same are Twinkle Twinkle and the Alphabet Song.
I am very curious how disrespected the actual trained dancers are that these random Americans just came in and stole their dance for a few minutes of a show.
Imagine if one of their trays fell and they couldn't catch it in time and their dress caught on fire. I wonder if ANTM was prepared for the medical bills, lawsuit, and reason why it was totally the model's fault that she now has 3rd degree burns all over her body and endangered everyone around her.
Former ICU nurse here-whose hospital was a regional burn center, and who sometimes worked a shift in the burn unit. For a large TBSA full thickness injury, hospital bill alone could easily reach into the MILLIONS. That doesn’t take into account the possibility of corneal transplants, extensive PT and OT, and psychotherapy… pain control, disfigurement… did I mention BLINDNESS??
